About this property

Peaceful Farmstead Cottage with Creekside Views Near Iron Station, North Carolina

Welcome to our Farmstead

Slow down and settle in at our peaceful farmstead retreat just outside Charlotte. Designed for cozy winter stays and quiet resets, this newly built cottage offers front porch coffee, calm creekside views, and the kind of stillness you don’t find in the city.

Whether you’re planning a romantic weekend, a solo recharge, or a peaceful work-from-home escape, this is a place to rest, reflect, and reconnect with nature — even in the quieter seasons.

The space

The cottage is designed to be a place of rest and to reconnect - where comfort meets the quiet rhythms of farm life.

Inside, you’ll find two peaceful bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed, soft linens, and simple, calming décor to encourage slow mornings and restful nights. The home includes two full bathrooms, one of which is a private en‑suite master bath, stocked with fresh towels and essentials for a relaxed stay.

The fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need to prepare meals during your visit, whether you’re cooking a full dinner or enjoying a slow breakfast before heading outside. The living space is warm and inviting — perfect for reading, conversation, or unwinding after a day on the farm.

Grab a warm cup from our coffee bar as you step outdoors and you’re surrounded by nature. A gentle creek runs through the property, creating a peaceful backdrop for walks, stargazing, reflection, and time spent unplugging. As a working farm, you will see our honey bee hives, chickens, and quail plus preparations for our cut flower season — all a quiet reminder of the sustainable, small‑scale urban farming practices that shape life here.

If you get the urge to step back into the city life during your stay, we are a peaceful drive to many local cities. Our property is just up the road from the quaint town of Stanley, 15 minutes from Lincolnton and Denver 20 minutes from the Whitewater Center, 20 minutes from Lake Norman and about 30 minutes from Charlotte.

This space is ideal for couples, families, or friends looking to reconnect — with each other, with nature, and with a slower pace of life.

Guest access

The entire property is yours to enjoy! Please be mindful of the animals and cut flower beds. As a working farm you may get lucky enough to have an inside look at how an urban farmstead operates during your stay, but all work is done during daytime hours with your comfort, privacy and peaceful stay in mind.

Under North Carolina law, an agrotourism professional is not liable for injury, death, or loss to a participant in an agrotourism activity resulting from the inherent risks of agrotourism activities. Guests assume all such risks and agree to follow all host instructions. (NC Gen. Stat. 99E)

Other things to note

The property is a working farm and sometimes we need to swing by to collect eggs, feed the animals, inspect the bees, or work on the gardens. We try our best to do this between bookings. If there is a time we need to swing by during your stay we will give you ample amount of time as a heads up.

We have honeybee hives on the property plus protective fencing for our chickens and quail.
