The Space:

Welcome to Driftwood Cottage, a charming 5-bedroom, 2.5-bath coastal retreat located within By the Sea, one of Navarre Beach's most sought-after gated communities. Perfect for families and groups, this spacious getaway offers direct access to the calm waters of the Santa Rosa Sound and is just a short walk from the sugar-white sands and emerald waters of the Gulf.

Inside, you'll find a bright, open-concept living space designed for gathering and relaxing, along with a well-appointed kitchen featuring a large island, ample seating, and a Nespresso coffee maker. Thoughtful coastal décor, Smart TVs in every bedroom, and beautiful water views throughout the home create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

The home comfortably accommodates up to 13 guests with two king bedrooms, one queen bedroom, a full-over-full bunk room, and a twin-over-full bunk room. Expansive balconies provide plenty of outdoor seating, making them the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon breeze, or evening sunset.

Driftwood Cottage offers both sides of coastal life. Set on Navarre Beach—a narrow barrier island—it sits between the calm Santa Rosa Sound and the open Gulf of Mexico. Out the back gate, the Sound is shallow, glassy, and warm—perfect for kids, kayaking, and watching the sun melt into the waters. A short walk over the dune line brings you to the Gulf’s emerald water and sugar-white sand. Calm or waves, quiet or energy—you choose the beach to match your day.

The host was responsive when asked questions about property. The beds were very comfortable and house was clean and had everything you needed. I wouldn’t go again only suggest putting some mirrors in bedroom we had so many people getting ready and a small mirror in bedroom would have been nice to put makeup on. Would love to know what kind of mattress was in king size master bedroom.

Dream beach house!

This place was perfect for our family! Located on the intercoastal/sound was nice with our young grandchildren. They could play in the sand & by the calm water just steps from the house. It was a great place to try out the paddle board too. The house was movie set beautiful! With accommodations that suited our multi-generation family perfectly. The open concept kitchen/living was well appointed. A fully stocked kitchen made cooking our food easy. We used the lower outdoor kitchen too. The golf cart was newer and very nice to tool around in. The pool was cold, but we expected that. The hot tub was nice, warm & clean. Everyone was sad to leave. Thank you!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Originally we Had reservations with another owner. Unfortunately, the AC was out when we arrived and could not be repaired.. The owner Put us in touch with Navarre sands. They went above and beyond in assisting us into another rental with them. As we had to wait for our rental to be cleaned, they graciously put us in another rental so that we could have air conditioning while we waited. They went above and beyond. The rental was beautiful and everything we could’ve hoped for, We will definitely use them again in the future! Our family had the best vacation.

Quick beach getaway

Reviewer Comments: Pros:Nice location: The rental is situated in a very beautiful area, you can see water from the house and it is a very short walk to the beach on one side and just a few minutes drive on a golf cart to the gulf.Beautiful house: it is new, it is very modern, has appliances for a comfortable stay, and it accommodates a big company.Cons:Very loud air conditioning: The noise from the air conditioning vents is disruptive and makes it difficult to sleep peacefully. This issue significantly detracted from the overall enjoyment of the stay.Limited bathrooms: With only two bathrooms available for a group of 12 people, there were long waits and inconvenience, especially during peak times such as mornings, evenings, and after beach.

Paradise!

Just what we needed! It was a great family vacation- plenty of breathtaking moments here! Amazing views - sunsets were amazing! Easy walk to private beach on the sound. Loved the pool and we took advantage of the golf cart to scoot around the island! The house was super clean and stayed cool. Not a bad room in the house! Laundry on the second floor was fantastic! Lots of closet space and plenty of bathrooms to go around. Kitchen was spacious and we appreciated the large dining table and seats at the bar top! Speaking of bar— the downstairs mini bar and grills was great! Seating for the sunsets and mini fridge for cold beverages! Smart tvs in every room made it easy to enjoy. The pool was awesome and relaxing! We also needed a cart during the stay, the management was super helpful and quick to respond to offer to bring one right over! We loved we could include our pug Daisy on the trip! And you will not regret renting for the sofa swing upstairs!!!! We will most definitely stay again and would definitely recommend Navarre Beach Rentals & staff!!

Beautiful week in Navarre

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was clean, comfortable & as pictured. Chad was always quick to respond & to supply couple items that were missing. Location & the view from back were nice if you want on the bay side with a quick golf cart ride to the beach. (would not be as good without a golf cart) Small disappointment was that the outdoor table fire-pit did not work, the outdoors area needs a little sprucing up, the community pool is not much and the hot tub was out of order & looked to be neglected. Construction going on nearby & 2 porta pots to look at. Overall, we had a nice quiet week, but guests moved in next door on our last day, & that would make it too close for comfort for an extended stay. New beach chairs and umbrella were a plus; bikes & kayak were fun. The golf cart was definitely a big plus!

We are glad the guests were happy with the location and our beach home and recommend to others! We always strive to ensure our quests are happy during their stay. We keep in communication with our guests and ask that they let us know of any issue/concerns so that we can address them immediately. They did make us aware of a few items needed which we addressed. However, we were not made aware of the issue with the fire-pit or other concerns. After investigation, the fire pit works as expected. Wish they would have called us and we could have helped them enjoy this great amenity. The overall outdoor areas and community pool is always kept in excellent condition but during their stay we did have 2 solid days of rain and high winds. Also, there was an unexpected issue with the hot tub which we communicated to our guests. The hot tub issue was resolved as quickly as possible by the maintenance team. Regarding the 2 porta pots, they were temporarily located in an empty lot several properties away around the corner for a new home and did not obstruct any views.
