Fully Restored Log Cabin 3-bedrooms, 1 and one 1/2 bathrooms .in Tupper Lake

Originally built in 1918 and fully restored in 2026 this 2000sf cabin has charm and all the modern conveniences for a great stay in the Adirondacks. You'll find everything you need and all brand new , just unpack and unwind. 1/2 mile from the scenic railroad and new trail to Lake Placid . 1/4 mile to Raquette River brewery 3/4 mile to Tupper Lake right on Main Street on a scenic route directly on snowmobile trail. Close to the Wild Center and Astrology conservatory , Little wolf beach is right around the corner .1 mile to Park St. [our little village downtown.] 20 miles to Saranac lake and 28 miles to Lake Placid. You'll find two king size beds and one queen , Fireplace is non working due to safety concerns , 100 year old log home and open flames are not a good combination . There is a electric fireplace in the log room. We have a Nice deck and a fire pit .

We loved our stay here in Tupper Lake. The house was roomy and well appointed. We enjoyed the history of the local area and the house is in a very convenient location. Furniture and beds were very comfortable. Great cabin for families and small groups!

Nicely restored house very clean and well equipped, close to the Adirondacks rail trail for biking/hiking and the Raquette river for kayaking. We had a great stay and the house was part of it.

The cabin itself is nice & updated, most things are new which is nice! The dilapidated garage is definitely an eyesore & the property would’ve been nice to walk around had it been mowed.

Thanks for your review of the house . I have high school kids do the yard sometimes they miss it to play baseball at school , of course they don’t me they let it go a week . The carport is in bad shape and I hate to tear it down I have a company coming on Sept 26th to try to save it . It’s very difficult to restore a 1918 home and I trust the house itself is a comfortable and happy place to stay. Thank you

The bedroom upstairs straight across in the back had bugs coming in where the air conditioner was. This was our only complaint. Thank you. We had a good time. They didn’t finish mowing the lawn until yesterday.

We had a fantastic time at Gary’s home in Tupper Lake! It was our home away from home! Gorgeous log home newly renovated and in an excellent location! Just a few recommendations- darkening blinds in bedrooms, trash cans in each room with bags, set of knives, measuring cups, casserole dishes, more big coffee mugs, spices, outside grill, coasters, and more kitchen utensils (wooden spoons, spatulas, can opener, potato peeler). No deal breakers at all but would add a nice touch We absolutely love the rug in the living room (sooo soft)! Also love the guitar and wooden bird nite light! It was a pleasure being your first guests!

I love historic buildings and places . Since i have checked into a million hotels then went to VRBO as a guest i wanted to do something special and here we are now as a host.

Why they chose this property

the village of Tupper Lake is located in the Adirondack state park . the house is located very close to Lakes , Rivers , Skiing, snowmobiling , the scenic train and trails .
The elevation makes for a cool climate with fresh clean air .

What makes this property unique

This log home was built in 1918 by hand with very large logs set on a stone foundation .It has local history and was the original guard house for the Tupper Lake county club ,I kept the features that could be saved and matched the flooring to keep it as original as possible , Updated insulation water and electric of course
