The Factory House at Keuka has wine country in its roots. Once home to the historic Urbana Wine Company, later Gold Seal Winery, this storied property dates back to 1865 and now welcomes a new kind of gathering: lake days, winery weekends, and unforgettable stays with your favorite people.

Guests have access to the entire home and outdoor gathering spaces. The exterior area on the west side of the house (the back alley) is not included in the rental and is off-limits to guests.

Guests may park in the driveway, which should be able to accommodate most vehicles. Additional overflow parking is available in the lower lot, which will be shown on a map sent before check-in.

Security Camera & Safety Devices: One exterior security camera faces the front parking area for security purposes only. There are no interior cameras, and audio recording is disabled. Carbon monoxide and smoke alarms are installed on-site.

Hot Tub & Fire Pit: Safety guidelines for the hot tub and propane fire pit, including occupancy limits, recommended use times, temperature limits, and operating instructions, are provided in the house guide. Adult supervision is required.

Trash: We ask that guests use the bin outside labelled “Cardinal” on the side. Trash pickup is weekly. Guests are asked to place trash out according to the schedule provided in the house guide.

Water: This property uses well water with a full filtration system, including sediment filtration, a water softener, carbon filtration, and UV treatment. The water is safe to drink.


Neighborhood
Set above Keuka Lake just north of Hammondsport, the property offers a convenient home base for exploring one of the Finger Lakes' best-known wine and lake destinations. The surrounding area combines lake scenery, vineyards, small-town charm, wineries, breweries, restaurants, museums, and year-round outdoor recreation. Spend the day wine tasting, boating, exploring Hammondsport, or discovering the surrounding Finger Lakes before returning home to relax overlooking Keuka Lake.

A vehicle is recommended for reaching the property and for visiting attractions in the area. Free on-site parking is available, with driveway parking for most or all guest vehicles and additional overflow parking in the lower lot. Hammondsport itself is easy to explore on foot once you arrive in the village, but walking from the property to town or most area attractions is not practical.
