Fall in love with Keuka at Keuka Kara

Enjoy Keuka Lake on a 149 foot natural shale private beach, large dock for fishing or lakeside entertaining, sleeps up to 18 and has plenty of parking. Keuka Kara has been on the banks of Keuka Lake for 157 years. She is like no other cottage.

This bright, fully renovated home sits directly on the beach, and features plenty of 7 bedrooms, 6 baths, and a gorgeous view of Keuka Lake.

The main entryway leads into a 3,700 square foot open floor plan. On the main floor are the fully furnished kitchen, the bright and spacious living room, and 2 master bedrooms each connected to a full bathroom. Both bedrooms have balconies to capture the serenity of Keuka Lake.

Upstairs, additional sleeping space is available in 4 bedrooms: one with 2 double beds, one with 2 sets of bunk beds ( perfect for youngsters), and 2 master suites (one king and one queen). The two master suite bedrooms have access to the massive deck with gorgeous views of the lake.

We provide linens and towels.

On the road level there is a great room with a modern fully stocked kitchen, dining area overlooking the lake and sitting area by large screen TV.

Outside, 4 decks await, offering a beautiful view of Keuka Lake, as well as two large grills and a variety of Adirondack, and dining seating.

The property sits directly on a 149 foot stretch of private beach, complete with 2 fire pits, ( one wood and one propane) and a permanent dock with additional bench seating.

Keuka Kara has cable TV, WiFi, and is conveniently located a short drive from everything Keuka Lake has to offer.

Lovely property, well cared for, excellent location

Our family of 12 stayed for a week and had a wonderful visit. All the bedrooms accommodated us well and the gathering space on the main floor allowed for us all to eat meals and spend time together. The owner was very responsive to all of our questions and the house was very clean upon our arrival. The location can't be beat. We docked our boat for the week and it was a very sturdy, well cared for dock. Would love to stay again!

Family Vacation

This was a great property that met all of our needs! It was large enough for each family to have their own space but also very welcoming to come together in the common areas. The house is in a fabulous location and access to the lake provided hours of fun! Sue was extremely responsive and helpful as well. Would highly recommend for a large group!

Awesome week

The house was awesome, lots of room for all 14 of us.. nice dock and beach for the kids to play in the water and launch our kayaks.. caught bass, catfish, and pike right off the dock and beach.. definitely recommend, we’ll be back ....!!!

Mid-Week Finger Lakes Visit

We loved the house! It had everything we needed and then some. The rooms were open and allowed for our group of 12 to relax, dine or just hangout on one of the many decks. The decor was pleasantly not cluttered. The house is located between Hammondsport and Penn Yan; lots of wineries near by. We had a great dinner at the Mansion and lunch at the Weiney. Do t miss Watkins Glen.

Golf Divas weekend

Keuka Kara is the perfect house for large groups! The most spectacular view of Keuka Lake from a lovely large great room! The kitchen has everything you could possibly want or need for entertaining. The bedding was top notch and comfortable! Sue provided items that are not usually provided in many rentals, such as soaps, toiletries, linens and many pantry products for cooking and storage. My group has been coming to the Finger Lakes for many years and I have to say that this property is the perfect property for us! The location is fantastic, the rooms are large and furnished tastefully, individual heating and cooling in each bedroom, and loads of other amenities. I do however agree with what a previous reviewer mentioned in their review, that the lack of a dresser or closet or anything to hang clothes on in two of the bedrooms was very inconvenient. Also, a mirror was missing in one of the bathrooms and not replaced. Any questions we had were responded to promptly. All in all, we had a great three day stay with the exception of Mother Nature was not in the mood for sunshine! We will definitely rent this wonderful property again and hope for great weather next year to go along with this great house! Thank you Sue.

Wonderful week at Keauka Lake

We had a relaxing time at the house the last week of June. Initially, the weather was cool, but then it warmed up and we had plenty of sun. There is no AC, but there are several fans available to circulate the air in the evening. Nevertheless, it may get stuffy in the upper bedrooms if the weather is hot. You can never be sure what to expect for kitchen supplies. We were pleasantly surprised with how well stocked the kitchen was! There were plenty of pots, pans, utensils, etc, as well as condiments, paper supplies, etc. There is a second large refrigerator in the basement that we didn't notice for the first few days. Bringing bed linens was a little inconvenient, but we all drove there and had space in the cars. My brother's family had king size bed sheets, so he got to claim the master bedroom! There are plenty of outdoor chairs. We moved some of the Adirondack chairs to the dock and enjoyed seating out there in the afternoon. We had a family reunion with over 20 people one afternoon, but with all the chairs and gathering areas, it didn't feel crowded. Parking is limited, but with careful direction, we parked eight cars/trucks without a problem. Three or four of our families stayed at the State campground which is not far away. If there is no ladder on the swimming dock, check in the basement, or look down through the clear water around the dock. We accidently found in on the bottom below the dock. Apparently, boat wakes can make it bounce and come loose from the hinge latches. Everyone enjoyed our week and gathering and talked about doing it again in a couple of years.

This house is absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway. The views were stunning and the house was extremely clean and modern. The beds were the most surprising as they were as comfortable as your own bed in your home. The host was very responsive. Definitely recommend!

Perfect for Large Family Gatherings

Great place for us and our extended family visit. Great location right on the water perfect for docking a boat and get some fishing in. So many attractions and restaurants less than an hour away. The two bedrooms on the main level with en suite bathrooms worked perfectly for our elderly parents while the kids enjoyed their own bedrooms on the top floor. Everything felt new and updated and very clean. Highly recommended. We plan to return next year.

Loved our stay

Our trip to Keuka Kara was wonderful. We are grateful and thankful to the owner of Keuka Kara as she was very willing to let this large family from all over the US congregate there, and she was helpful throughout our stay in communications with us. There are so many positives with this cottage: - a well appointed kitchen with lots of room for a large crowd -kayaks, paddle boat to keep everyone happy -graduated entry into the lake for the younger children to play in -Decks on all 3 levels of the cottage to over look the lake -many lawn chairs available to have around the 2 fire pits -a great dock to Moore your boats -a float to swim or kayak out to This is a great cottage for friends and family gatherings We definitely recommend it!

Wonderful Week

Our family had the most amazing time at Keuka Kara! It is a beautiful home that is outfitted with all you need for a wonderful stay on Keuka lake. We were able to enjoy the beautiful views on the dock and multiple decks. Between the two fridges and two grills we had no problem cooking for our family of 12, and were able to comfortably sit around the table. Susan was responsive and helped answer all questions we had during our stay. Already looking forward to our next trip to Keuka Kara!

Family getaway

We really enjoyed staying at Keuka Kara! Everyone in our family loved the location, the privacy, hanging out on the dock and multiple decks to enjoy the view. All of the amenities of the house made for an easy, relaxing vacation. We had a 60th wedding anniversary celebration with family and the house was well equipped to host a beautiful dinner. Would love to stay here again!

Why they chose this property

We wanted a lakeside cottage on beautiful West Lake Road with a large natural beach and plenty of parking. It had to be bright, well built, and large enough to sleep us, our children and their families. It had to be on Keuka, the most beautiful Finger Lake!
