The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Leave all the access devices and placards on the kitchen bar: - physical keys - the white access card - the remote for opening community gates - the parking placard for the Holden Beach house
Failure to return any of the access devices will result in a replacement charge of $50 for each item. Place used towels in provided laundry basket.
Lock the front door by pressing the lock button on the keypad. Do not lock the door knob. After you are back home, please go to the VRBO site and give us some feedback about your stay.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
Events or parties on the premises are not permitted. Be respectful of your neighbors.

Quiet condo walking distance to the pool and clubhouse. We had access to all Winding River’s amenities. Watching the sunset from the boat ramp was spectacular!

Very clean and nice property. Convenient location and excellent amenities. Ceiling insulation thin as upstairs kids running around was loud.

We had an excellent stay here while our house was being worked on in Wilmington. It was very comfortable with accessibility to the river, beach, pool, gym, and you can walk a few steps to play some golf. Richard was an excellent host, and was very responsive. He helped us add a few days to our rental when our construction project was extended. Very nice community and comfortable home. The only thing I would note is that VRBO requires a 1500 refundable deposit. This doesn't seem to have anything to do with Richard, but is something to be aware of. The note I read is that it can take up to two weeks for them to process the refund after checking out.

We came from living in Chapel Hill, NC for 27 years where we managed a VRBO condo. We would often take our beach vacations out on Oak Island. Recently we both retired considered where we would like to move. Our love for Oak Island and this area made the decision to move to Winding River an easy one. We are hosting on VRBO again so we can share just how wonderful it is to live here. Come visit and you too will want to live here permanently!
