Beautifully stocked, but bring serious earplugsWe loved a lot about this apartment. It was clean and one of the best-stocked rentals we've ever stayed in. The kitchen and household supplies clearly had a lot of thought put into them.Unfortunately, the windows have essentially no sound insulation, and it affected every night of our stay. We heard everything: dump trucks in the back alley, street cleaning, and late-night arguments on the street. For context, I've stayed in Brooklyn brownstones, Times Square hotels, and downtown San Francisco, Chicago, and Charleston, and I've never experienced noise like this. Even with earplugs, we woke up every night. So did my teenagers, who normally sleep through anything.One smaller note: the sheets provided for the air mattress are much too small to fit it.If you're a heavy sleeper or plan to be out late, the location and amenities may outweigh the noise. Light sleepers should know what to expect. I'd love to see the owners invest in window inserts or soundproof curtains, because with that fix this place would be easy to recommend.
