We had a great stay at this home. The private beach was wonderful. The covered porch is huge. We spent most of out time there. The bedrooms are all a nice size. We didn't utiIize the yard, but it is large and level for outside games. My only complaint was that the bedroom mirrors were all older and fogged, and with 5 people showering in one bathroom, with no exhaust fan, it was hard to do hair and makeup. House was surface clean, but some major dust bunnies under the fuirniture.
This is our second time staying at Linekin Vista. As before, it is a wonderfully cozy property with beautiful views, comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and lovely fireplace. It is rustic, which is just what we were looking for! The owners provide lots of firewood, birdseed for the feeders, and lots of blankets to use when reading or watching the fire. The location is close enough to Boothbay Harbor to make a quick trip to town convenient. However, it is also far enough away that you get to enjoy the solitude and peace. Highest recommendation!

Lovely location
The property feels like a typical camp. Was on the rustic side (no blinds in living areas) and the sofa needs replacing. But you can’t beat the location. Ocean point neighborhood is lovely and so many things to do nearby (great restaurants -Tugs Pub, Ports of Italy, Blue Moon Cafe, Ocean Point Kitchen), Botanical Gardens, Popham Beach.
My family and I had a nice stay at this home. It was exactly as pictured and we especially appreciated beach access and the short walk to Ocean Preserve and Ocean point.
The house ended up being even nicer than it is in photos. It was comfortable, clean, well stocked and you can’t beat the location. I felt really spoiled having a private beach and plenty of privacy. It was so nice there that we went on far fewer excursions than we normally do on our trips to Maine, and spent a lot of time just relaxing and enjoying the views. The sunset is beautiful! We enjoyed searching for shells and beach glass, fishing, and wildlife viewing from the beach. We were on the lovely porch whenever we weren’t down by the water. I hope to come back here some day!
Enjoyed a perfect week at this lovely cottage on the quiet side of Boothbay Harbor. Relaxing, peaceful and so beautiful. Well appointed cottage with everything you might need including paper goods and trash bags. Check in was a breeze and Traci was very prompt in answering any questions we had. My 2 year old grandson loved the beach and we were so pleased with the very safe porch area for his playtime. We will certainly be returning to this perfect getaway!
We had a perfectly relaxing vacation in this wonderful, rustic oceanfront property! The place is exactly as advertised. Wonderful fireplace, well-equipped kitchen, stunning views. Highest recommendation!
This was our first time at this cottage, and we will be back next year, if we can find an opening in the schedule. This cabin is very comfortable, in so many ways. The beds were great, almost every window opened, the walk down to the beach is a bit challenging but very worth it, and the expansive porch is where we spent most of our time, watching lobsterman pulling traps and fisherman looking for supper. Our daily walks to Ocean Point were a highlight—a good workout that included amazing views of the Atlantic. It is a well-used home, so don’t come looking for perfect furnishings; it is a rustic cabin, and that’s part of its charm. (The lighting in the living room is marginal, but we didn’t spend much time there so it was a minor issue.) Finally, the house is well-outfitted for fun, and an evening of informal bocce ball was a great way to end a day.
Between kayaking with the seals and seafood in Boothbay Harbor, morning walks on Ocean Point, this cottage has it all. Wonderful location and great week. Not our first time there, and certainly not our last. Xo, the Andrews family
Wonderful location in scenic East Boothbay.
Large front yard, big deck, and access to a private beach. Watching the birds come to the bird feeder was an extra nice touch. There is a nature preserve in the neighborhood with trails. Oceanpoint Inn, with its own stunning fees of Linekin Bay, is less than a mile away.
This was a classic and well-appointed Boothbay area cottage on a bluff overlooking Linekin Bay. The back porch with its view of the bay through the trees was a wonderful place to sit and relax.
We watched the sunset every evening as a close to our day - beautiful and peaceful! There are two paths down to the water but a new set of steps not shown in the photos made the final descent to the shore easier than expected. Chairs on the bluff just before the stairs were a favorite place to relax and have a shady and unobstructed view of the water. The cottage is somewhat unique in the area in that there is a pebbly beach that was accessible even at high tide. Beach chairs carried down from the house made this a great spot to sit right at the waterfront and enjoy the sun and ocean breezes.
A beautiful, rustic spot to spend your time. The cottage is great and has everything you will need. We had a fire each evening and spent a good part of our day on the deck overlooking the beautiful bay, trees, and wildlife! I would definitely book again!
My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property.
Very inviting. Very private and peaceful.
We would come back to this spot in a second.
Thank you for a great weekend
The property is well maintained for a somewhat rustic cottage. Although small, the house was very comfortable and roomy enough for 5 adults and two dogs.
We made use of a very nice fireplace. The house was fully stocked with wood. Each night and on our one rainy day it was very cozy sitting around the fire.
The back porch is the key to the property. We spent most of our time sitting or dining on the porch. Lots of good, comfortable porch furniture made hanging out a pleasure.
The back porch and property going down to the water is in shade most of the day. Wish it were a little more open to let the sun shine in. Also wish some of the trees blocking the water view were taken down.
The beach is a very usable beach. The tides are extreme, so at high tide there is very little beach. Low tide exposes an extensive beach. The water was always very calm and quiet.
Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the cottage. I would highly recommend the property.
My husband and I with our 11-year twins had a wonderful week in this cottage. The pictures and description were very accurate. The views from the house were delightful, especially the sunsets. It was a great location to serve as a home base as we explored the mid-coast area of Maine. Day trips to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, Popham Beach State Park, and other close by areas were awesome. We also did the Cabbage Island Clambake and discovered that Cabbage Island is right across the bay from the cottage. Don't miss taking a walk through Ocean Point Preserve--right across from the house.
We went pre-season so the weather ranged from low 40s to low 70s with days of rain and days of sunshine. Our stay was perfect despite the weather. We used the gorgeous fireplace when cold and sat on the deck with a gorgeous view when nice. We went down to the beach everyday and found a lot of sea glass and beautiful rocks (although the path down was daunting). The front of the house does not do the inside justice. Gorgeous pine everywhere. The one drawback was the kitchen. Things needed some updating in there and there was no dishwasher which we weren’t used to! We loved the location. You could go out on the deck and smell the ocean breeze while listening to song birds in the trees. We had a great stay.
The house is amazingly comfortable with warmth. It had mostly exposed wood which gave it a quaint rustic feel.
We were very impressed with the reliable internet which we had to use from time to time.
Overall, it is a great roomy house and we can't wait to return next year.
Thank you Watts family for sharing your lovely home.
