There are no bright lights. Nearby activities include beaches, golf, dining, fishing, shopping, boating, charter fishing, turtle and dolphin watching and day trips either north to Wilmington or south to Myrtle Beach. A visit to Calabash is a must for local eating venues and special shopping. Ocean Isle beach is one of the best kept secrets in the Carolinas.

Condo was clean and as advertised. They are doing construction on the building. This didn't affect the view from our condo. This was not an issue for us. Location was excellent. Beach was very clean.

A Little Slice Of Heaven

We love staying at the property. The owners are fabulous and communicate so well. They are friendly and truly care that our family enjoys staying at their home. We love everything about the condo including the location, the amenities, the space for our family and most importantly the simplicity of the check in check out process. We love escaping to Ocean Isle and staying at the wonderful spot on the island.

Our Getaway

We wanted to get away to the beach for a couple of days and saw this listing on VRBO. The condo was ocean front and had everything you would need! The weather did not completely cooperate but we did get a walk on the beach and a round of golf. Would defintely come back and recommend!

Our family enjoyed a great week at this Windjammer property. The Condo is beautiful, a perfect oceanfront location with easy beach access. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and the condo was sparkling clean. We felt right at home. We can't wait to visit again.

First off, Tom and Sandy were very helpfull and responded very quickly to any questions we had. The condo is very well decorated and has all the amenities you would need. Exceeded expectations — great value

Easy access with elevator & loved the combination on the door. Ample space in bedrooms with one large bathroom, 2nd bathroom smaller. Great view & saw dolphins on two of three days!! Easy beach access. Kitchen had everything I wanted. No hair dryer could be found, only negative we could think of.

"Cool" place

Great condo! Clean, comfortable, and beautiful view. Only problem was the master bedroom was very cold compared to the other rooms in the condo. Don't know if the heat vent in the master bedroom is working properly or not. Had to put two extra blankets on our bed.

Nice condo. Not enough storage space to put food in. TV in living room didnt work after a day there but told the owner not to worry about it. Think it would be nice for the owner to put a guest book in there to sign for people to comment on. Overall great weather and nice week.

I do give a sheet!

It was a perfect stay but didn't like having to have the sheets cleaned before leaving as well as purchasing the detergent to clean them. I'd never experienced that before. Would rather pay a larger cleaning fee strip my beds and go. Other then that it was a wonderful place to stay.

Sandy and Tom have lived in NC since 1996, moving down from Syracuse, NY. We have also lived in Harrisburg, PA, Va Beach, Atlanta, Roanoke, VA, and Bel Air, MD. We have been married 49 years, have five grown children and ten grand children. We purchased this property on Feb 20, 2014 and are planning to both rent and use the property.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Ocean Isle Beach since 1986. We have stayed on and off at the Windjammer since 1999. We have been to many east coast beaches and zeroed in on Ocean Isle for several reasons. We find the water and waves more gentle and less abrasive; one can walk out almost 100 yards without being in water over the head; the east - west beach allows viewing of the sunrise and sunset from the same beach; almost zero incidences of jelly fish; the water temperature is moderate for an extended season of time; the Windjammer is a sturdy steel in concrete building with available covered parking, an extra large pool, and an elevator; the beach is rarely over crowed and tends to be family oriented.
