Stay at this cozy North End duplex and enjoy a short 300 ft walk to the beach at 84th street. It is on the ocean side of Atlantic Ave so no need to cross a busy street. Spend your Summer vacation days basking in the sun, splashing in the ocean, or watching the dolphins frolic. It is ideal for a group of friends, couples, or small families. Also perfect for an off season getaway, military transition, or temporary corporate housing. We welcome your dogs! This one story duplex style home has lots of character and is adorably decorated with beach and mermaid themed artwork throughout. Lots of modern amenities like WIFI! You will have reserved driveway parking for two cars.

Living room has comfortable leather sofa and loveseat. 42 inch flat screen HDTV with expanded cable package. DVD/Blu-Ray player with large selection of movies available for your use.

Kitchen has stainless steel appliances to include refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, and dishwasher. Also has full size front loader washer and dryer. Lots of other amenities like Keurig single cup coffee brewer, Mr. Coffee coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishes, silverware, barware, pots and pans, etc. Kitchen table seats 4.

Bathroom has slate tiled walk in shower and glass bowl sink/vanity.

First bedroom has queen bed with brand new linens for 2018 season. Second bedroom has twin beds with brand new linens and mattresses for 2018 season. Also has TV with DVD/Blu-Ray player. Total bedding accommodates 4 people, but up to 6 are welcome if you would like to bring a portable crib, air mattress, or use the sofa/loveseat.

Fenced in backyard with patio furniture set that seats up to 6 people. Brand new umbrella and seat cushions for 2018 season. There are also two adirondack chairs and a gas grill in the patio area. One of the best features of this quaint getaway is the custom built totally private hot/cold water outdoor shower. You'll want to use for all of your showers!

Did we mention we welcome your dogs? We don't want to leave ours when we travel either so we even provide a bed and a fully stocked treat jar for your four legged friend!

The home is in the quiet and relaxing North End section of the Virginia Beach resort area, with access to the beach a very short walk away. If you're looking for more action the Boardwalk Resort area is a little over 3 miles away with great restaurants and family friendly activities. The Virginia Beach Convention Center is about 6 miles away.

In addition to the beach, be sure to check out the hiking/biking trails at nearby First Landing State Park, local golf courses, shopping and great music venues. Colonial Williamsburg, Prime Outlets, and Busch Gardens/Water Country USA Theme Parks are just an hour away.

Perfect Weekend

This was the perfect space for graduation weekend! The place was clean and cozy The kitchen was well stocked. The beach was quiet and relaxing. My pup loved his souvenir-thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If Doug could, he'd take the shower home with him (excellent shower pressure). The kitchen as others have noted was well stocked (and thank you for the basket of goodies!). We cooked in/used the gas grill several nights and did not lack for cookware. The glass selection is excellent (fun large margarita glasses, tall ice tea glasses, mugs, etc.). We had a couple of beastly hot days and the AC was able to handle it. The location is great, away from the busy areas and easy walk to the 84th street entrance. We biked to free concerts at 17th and 31st street venues (there are bike paths/lanes most of the way).

Relaxing comfy getaway with my pups

Great location - just a short walk to a quiet beach. Cozy place with fenced yard for my two dogs. Nice kitchen. Frig had filter water and ice maker. Comfortable bed, good wi fi, lots of nice touches like beach towels and a snack pack, plus beach cart.I like this location near First Landing State Park since I can go to either Boardwalk or Lyndhaven and Chics Beach for restaurants and coffee houses. Can’t wait to come back

The renters were super sweet, they even left squeaky toys for a gift for our 2 tiny dogs. Very easy to make arrangements with. Very short 5 minutes walk to beach. Very tranquil colors through out cozy home.

This property is a gem! Perfect size for my husband and I, and very dog friendly. Great location in the quiet northern end of VB, but still such a short walk to the beach. We’ve been coming here for 5 years and will be back next year!

Excellent Beach House

Great house at a very affordable rate. Nice to have a little fenced yard for our pup. They went the extra mile to make us and our dog feel welcome. Would definitely stay here again.

Great dog friendly north end beach cottage

Perfect for small gathering, loved that we could bring our dog too! Great fenced in yard. North End beach access is a very easy walk to end of block without busy streets to cross. Very thoughtful welcome basket with goodies for humans and pets alike.

Beautiful, well-equipped, dog-friendly house

This was a beautiful house with a nice fenced yard for our dogs. They even left milk bones and a treat for the dogs. It was just a short walk to the beach, and the house had everything we needed — beach cart, chairs, umbrella. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet.

Pet Utopia

A dog-friendly cottage with a fenced yard, just around the corner from the beach -- what could be better? Comfortable bed, big fridge, outdoor patio, free Netflix, fast Wi-Fi, free off-street parking. And an amazing welcome basket of snacks. Hooray!

So close to everything

This was our family's first time in Virginia Beach and our first trip to the beach with our 3 year old dog. Angie's place was perfectly located to enjoy all of the beach going activities. The home is within a 5 min walk of the beach, an 10 min bike ride to the state park, and if you have a DOD Id, you will have access to Fort Story. The home has ample space for a family of 4 with a large breed dog. Additionally, the outdoor space is large enough for the family to eat outdoors and enjoy the weather. I would highly recommend this place.

Our family of four stayed for 4 nights at this property in late July. Overall the stay was ok/good.Pros:Location! Perfect spot! One block to the beach access and the walk was safe and easy. On the north end of Virginia Beach away from the condos, hotels, etc. so the beach was not overcrowded. The property has it's own off-street parking with space for two cars if needed. In a good neighborhood, low traffic, safe area. The house itself was roomy and had pretty much everything we needed for our stay.Cons:House is needing a good amount of general maintenance and repairs (first impression was a broken front screen door that wouldn't stay latched/shut). The pillows and linens need replaced. The house, while tidy and clean enough, could use a deep clean. Communication wasn't the best. We asked a general question before arriving to aid in our packing decisions; which wasn't answered for a few days and also provided incorrect information (asked how many beach chairs were available so we knew if we needed to bring extra- was told 4-5. There were only 3, and of those, one was moldy, leaving our family without enough chairs to use). The day we were to arrive, we became concerned about the legitimacy of the reservation as we had not yet been provided with check in/access information. This was provided only after sending a message and inquiring that morning - only a few hours before we were set to arrive.

Just Great!

Angie was super nice, had everything we needed and even allowed us to bring our extra pup! She left out a gift basket with snacks (which we all loved), a dog toy, laundry detergent, soap, paper plates and cups. It was a wonderful and thoughtful surprise! She had dog dishes there and a dog bed as well! She also washed some towels and our bedding in non-allergenic laundry detergent since I notified her of an allergy to fragrences! I will definitively stay there, again, when coming to VA beach! Highly recommend!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay, Angie!

Va Beach Cottage

This is the perfect rental- ocean block to take the dogs to the beach with us and very close drive to the boardwalk and shops. The home has everything and more that you could need. We have rented Angie’s cottage multiple times and intend to continue doing so. She is an excellent host!

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy, dog-friendly duplex at the North End! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach, with Cape Henry Lighthouse and First Landing State Park just minutes away. It made for the perfect blend of relaxation and outdoor adventure.The property was exactly as described—clean, well-appointed, and truly welcoming for both people and pups! It’s clear the owners have put thought into every detail, from the comfortable furnishings to the convenient layout. Our dog felt right at home, which made our stay even more enjoyable.A surprising bonus was the amazing water pressure in the shower—it was like a mini spa experience after a day at the beach or hiking the trails!The host was warm, friendly, and attentive to every detail, ensuring our stay was smooth from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway.
