Dogwood Cabin at Tall Timbers Retreat

Dogwood Cabin at Tall Timbers Retreat sleeps up to 13 (or 9 in individual beds). Downstairs has a private room with a Queen bed and a pull-out full sofa. Upstairs has a private room with a King bed and a bunk bed, plus a loft with five singles (note: access to the private room is through the singles area). Two full bathrooms, one on each floor. It has a full kitchen and shared laundry access with Pine Tree Cabin. Cabins may be rented individually or as a group.

Dogwood Cabin at Tall timbers retreat is only eight miles from downtown Nacogdoches, which is the oldest town in Texas. Nestled among the majestic pine trees, these competitively priced, fully furnished cabins include all the comforts of home. This cabin sleeps up to 13 people.

Tall Timbers caters to families who enjoy the active lifestyle, but who also like to unwind. Outside your door, 30 wooded acres invite you to explore. Take a walk on the trail!! Gather your family and have a day of fun playing volleyball, corn-hole, horseshoes, or utilize our on-site all grass baseball field. Grab a book and take advantage of our many outdoor swings and rocking chairs. Imagine the peaceful and tranquil sounds of nature as you let your troubles fade away with the afternoon breeze. As evening approaches, gather around the bonfire and gaze at the stars while making s`mores.

Our crown jewel is the Rose Hall (extra fee). It can accommodate up to 65 seated guest, which makes it ideal for large groups. This is a great place for family meals, group studies, meetings, play ping-pong, karaoke, piano, bingo, we have it all!! Maybe just relax in the rocking chairs playing a game of checkers or catch a movie on our large lcd tv.

We are pet friendly!!! Bring your dog from home or your horse from the barn!! We have the facilities that they will love!!! We have stables, fenced pastures and shelter from the weather.

Beautiful property and amazing beds

This was the perfect place for my family to stay during parents weekend. The house was so clean and comfortable with everything we need to relax and enjoy time together. I will be coming back - if anything because I slept better here than almost ever before.

Great property

We have stayed in the Dogwood and Redbud cabins two different times for a basket team camp. It’s perfect for a larger group. Property is exactly as described. We have enjoyed each of our stays at this property.

Weekend with ETX family

Check in was easy and host very friendly. The cabin was nicely appointed with comfortable beds and plenty of towels and supplies. It is a rustic cabin so don't expect the Hilton, but we had plenty of room to relax. Great fire pit out back. Lots of beds upstairs for kids (or adults).. Bathrooms are rather small but adequate and clean

Run from Hurricane Beryl

We were heading home to Houston right before the storm was coming through, we made a decision to find a place to stay instead of going to the storm. This was a great place to grab groceries and just enjoy. We cooked for every meal & played outside on the property.

Graduation Lodging

We originally reserved a VRBO in town, but the owners canceled on us two weeks before graduation. We weren’t looking for a lodge, but we needed a place that could host 8 people. We were so pleasantly surprised with the Dogwood Lodge. It was so clean! We spent a lot of time outside admiring the beautiful pines and watching our grandson run around. It was also nice to be able to bring our pup. I think Dogwood ended up being a better fit for our family than the original rental.

Everything was superb. It is a cabin and feels like a cabin, which is just what we wanted. Just enough out of the city to feel like the country but close enough to be able to get last minute necessities. I would stay here again and again.

We loved it!!

A few friends and I stayed here for a weekend trip to nacogdoches, and we had the best time! There is tons of space for guest, the fire place is so fun, and overall we had a great experience! The check in and out process was easy, and the owners of this house were quick to respond to any questions we had!

Setting was beautiful. However, our first day was disappointing since the power was out due to high winds and it was 24 hours before we got power back. It was very cold the first night. Also, with no manager on the property, it wasn't convenient to get help.

There was enough room for all of us (10 people) and 1 bed left over with clean towels and blankets, nice and quiet spot lots of room to play outside and enough space for everyone to park, the event hall was fun too.

Great Location! Perfect for family events!

Absolutely recommended for big or small groups who need time together. We rented 2 cabins for extended family coming into town for a funeral. The owner quickly responded to all questions, and was unfazed by last minute changes, he really went the extra mile. The lovely, comfortable cabins, with living rooms and kitchens provided the perfect "at home" atmosphere for us all to talk, cook, and remember our father. Kitchen dishes and linens were fully stocked. Everything came together for a very stress-free rental. We will be back soon for another family milestone, and looking forward to the stay!
