The holiday flat in Braunwald is situated outside the village in a quiet location with a view of the beautiful mountains. The house is detached and the distance to the next house is a good 100 metres. The flat offers space for up to 7 people and more and is located in a former farmhouse. The flat has four bedrooms and a small shower and WC. It has a charming parlour with a beautiful terrace, which invites you to linger. The kitchen is fully equipped. (cooker with oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and capsule coffee machine). The flat is heated by a tiled stove. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for shared use.
There is no television and no WLAN.

The flat is ideal for a family or a group of friends travelling together and wanting to enjoy the peace and quiet and nature
The garden is available to all guests for shared use and invites you to relax.

Braunwald is car-free and can only be reached by funicular railway. The funicular railway climbs 600 metres in 7 minutes and takes you to the car-free Braunwald sun terrace. There are plenty of parking spaces in Linthal.

From the flat you can take a leisurely stroll, admire nature and the nearby streams, and from spring to autumn you can go on beautiful shorter and longer hikes in the surrounding area. The holiday flat is ideally located for beautiful hikes. The mountain railways are not far away, making excursions into the surrounding mountains easy. In winter you can go skiing, sledging, snowshoeing, winter hiking, cross-country skiing and ice skating. If there is enough snow, you can ski right up to the front door.
In summer there is a via ferrata, children's via ferrata, rope park, family fire pits, playgrounds, dwarf Bartli adventure trail, etc. All the family-friendly Braunwald offers can be found at braunwald.ch. The village centre with its grocery shop is also just 1100 metres away and can be easily reached on foot.

The flat is just 200 metres from our farm. In spring and autumn our cows graze with bells on the meadows, in summer they are on our alp.

About our farm:
We have about 20 dairy cows and young cattle, 6 goats, a dog and a cat. The cows spend the summer on our alp in Braunwald, where we produce fine alpine cheese products that we sell directly on our farm: Alpkäse, Alpraclette cheese, in summer also Alpbutter and in winter fondue mixtures with our Alpkäse etc.
The hike from the holiday flat to our alp is also suitable for families. You are welcome to look over the farmer's shoulder during the stable season.

The visitor's tax (guest tax) includes free use of public transport in the canton of Glarus (including the Braunwald railway).
From Braunwald you can also make excursions to Urnerboden, Klausenpass, Elm, Klöntalersee, Glarus etc.
