The ground floor has 12' ceilings, a large living room with French doors leading out to the garden, a den with flat-screen tv, formal dining room that seats 10-12, and a fabulous eat-in kitchen with 4 bar stools and a table for 6 in a very sunny nook, with access to the garden. Mud room and pantry.
The second floor has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The master bedroom has a large bathroom with double sinks and a shower and a walk in closet. The twin room (with trundle beds) has an en-suite with double sinks and a shower / tub combination. The 3rd (Queen) bedroom has a large connecting dressing room that could serve as a 4th bedroom for a baby or kids on an inflatable mattress. This Queen bedroom plus dressing room has an en-suite with shower and sink.
The 3rd floor has 3 more bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, and 2 twins) and 2 full baths. There is also a casual game room on this floor. Steps lead up from the 3rd floor to the turret, which has views of the Jamestown bridge.
The ground floor and 2nd floor have been completely renovated and have central A/C. The 3rd floor has european-style window units.
Spend your days and evenings outside on the patio, where you can BBQ on our gas grill and seat 10 for dinner at the outdoor table. If you have children, they can play in the large fenced-in garden or on the swing set.
We think the location is ideal. You can easily walk to Bellevue Avenue to buy breakfast and the newspaper, play tennis at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, buy groceries, or continue down Bellevue a bit farther to visit the glorious mansions from the Gilded Age. You can walk to Easton's Beach, down to the wharf, around Historic Hill, to the Newport Art Museum, the Redwood Library, and to dozens of shops and restaurants. If you plan to visit during the summer months, there are many camps for kids nearby at St Michaels Country Day School, the Newport Art Museum, the Norman Bird Sanctuary, and many more a short drive away. Ask owner for more information.
