There is a large and sunny living room with a flat screen TV and a homely kitchen equipped with anything you might need to cook your favorite dishes. The property is fine.

We have been staying here for many years. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The owner needs to make some improvements as it is showing its age. They need new beach chairs, paint the balcony, and paint the hallway railings. That will make a big improvement.

Nice place but messages to property manager before, during and after rental were never replied to. Extra charge for parking Damage deposit kept until persistent calls to VRBO and Ocean Villas. VRBO points at property manger - Property manager points to VRBO system. Still waiting for return of $1000 damage deposit over 3 weeks after rental

I’m sure the place was and will be very nice. However when I arrived it was completely covered in scaffolding, new stucco and paint was being applied, I had to wait while they swept up drywall screws to park in the garage. I looked down a plastic draped hallway and decided I did. Or want to vacation at a construction site so I immediately left and found other accommodations.

Perfect location, perfect stay...

This is our 4th year staying here for spring break and we have already booked again for next year. The property is a perfect size, they have everything you need including beach towels, chairs, sand toys, boogie boards, etc. The location could not be more perfect, we usually get our groceries for the week and do not get in the car again until we head back to Arizona. The staff is also top notch and are always there to answer any questions or concerns. This is my favorite vacation of the year!

Awesome EVERYTHING

This was our second year spending spring break here and we will book again and again and again. The units are clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The balcony has a firepit and looks over the beach and ocean, it's so peaceful to sit up there and read a book. My girls were up and down the stairs a million time to go to the beach and back up for lunch, dinner, snacks. The unit is in walking distance of wonderfully great shops and restaurants. My kids would skateboard each day to go get ice cream in town. The staff is beyond friendly and made us feel extremely welcome yet again. We love this facility and cannot wait for our trip next year as well.

Great location !

I hesitate to reveal how wonderful this place is because we would like to keep it to ourselves ! This was our third trip to Carlsbad and first time at Ocean Villas . My husband , two daughters , and a friend all stayed there and had plenty of room. The location is central and we walked everywhere . The apartment was very clean and the office staff was very helpful . We plan to go back as often as we can . The second floor is perfect for sitting and watching the ocean . It isn't a new apartment , simply furnished , but everything you could want was there . Being right on the ocean is what's important to us . Hoping to be back there soon !

Christmas vacation

This "fair" rating is only because of the sunsets!!! Both my husband and I were very disappointed with our overall experience at Ocean Villas. Not only is it very dated, Unit G was not even furnished as the pictures indicated. The plastic patio furniture is mismatched, the bedroom carpeting is disgusting and the bathroom shower fixtures are rusting. Both garages are an unsightly mess of broken furniture, tools etc. To make matters worse, work crews arrived on our second day there. Immediately they set up three levels of scaffolding on the south side, sealing off three of our windows with plastic, and closing off our private beach access. And everyday, the noise, as they drilled and pounded away at deteriorating stucco. Not once did management prepare us for this sort of activity. At the end of our stay, we were offered a 10% discount, a bottle of wine and $40 in cash......a very disappointing and unacceptable compromise considering the cost of our 11nite stay.

We just returned from our stay at Ocean Villas for the month of January. This was our fourth year that we have rented this unit at Ocean Villas. The location can't be beat. Easy access to quaint Carlsbad and right on the beach. Nice comfortable condos with a "beachy" feel. Great patio for nightly fires in firepit and barbecue. We have been lucky with weather. Management very accommodating to your needs.

Another perfect oceanfront stay

Second year in a row to stay here. Love this place! Ocean Villas has it all. The rooms have been tastefully updated with nice furniture and accessories. The bed and bedding are very comfortable. No need to worry that your stay will be ruined by a poor nights sleep. The kitchen is fully stock with all the cooking utensils that is needed to make meals if your wanting to eat in and stare at the ocean as you cook. :) The patio is a great place to be and is equipped with table, chairs, fire pit and BBQ grill. Staff is great. Close to everything in Carlsbad. Can't wait for my next trip back

Another outstanding visit

My wife and I just completed another outstanding stay at Ocean Villas. We have been renting for a month for 7 years. It gets better and better. New owners are terrific and so is the help. Very very nice upgrades to all the units. Hard to believe there is a better place in Carlsbad, with the view, location and price! One drawback is that we had to leave. We are counting the days until we return

Great spot, great room

Wonderful location right on the beach. Clean spacious suite with awesome deck overlooking the beach. Garage parking is another plus. Walking distance to anything in the Village. Only drawback I can think of is that the public beach access attracts a few late night partiers, but it really wasn't that disruptive.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

Perfect location!! Walking distance to so many good restaurants and shops!! Starbucks is just two blocks away. Perfect view!! A lovely deck to enjoy watching the waves, surfers and an occasional dolphin. The beach has wonderful soft sand for those barefoot walks at sunset. Perfect condo!! Very comfortable furnishings and a well stocked kitchen with all the appliances, dishes and utensils you'll need. It has been very quiet and peaceful. A lovely relaxing vacation!! We will be coming back next year!!! Just perfect ;)
