located close to galloping Goose walking/biking trail. Superb kayaking on Portage inlet which connects with the Gorge waterway and leads to the Inner Harbour and open ocean. Enjoy the sunset while sipping wine in your zerogravity chair. We are just minutes away from downtown Victoria. Pets welcome with strict rules for owner care. Owner lives in private basement suite accessed by a sideyard pathway by the dining area. Owner is very careful to maintain your privacy

One of the best VRBO rentals we have stayed in. The house, yard and views are beautiful. The house is spotlessly clean, spacious and very well stocked with everything you need- truly feels like a home away from home. Spacious well furnished with a gorgeous view we wished we could have stayed longer than 3 nights. The peace and quiet of the location belie the fact that the main centre of the city of Victoria was a very short drive away. Close to supermarkets, top attractions like Buchart Gardens and many restaurants the house was like home with a well stocked kitchen, fluffy bathrobes and towels and the A frame gave beautiful views of Portage Inlet. Caroline’s well tended garden framed every picture! A truly unique and outstanding property!

Beautiful House

Beautiful location by the water

We loved our stay. There was a brief problem with the plumbing but the owner had it addressed by the next morning. Absolutely lovely location. Would definitely recommend.

This is a gorgeous property. We never left from the time we got there and we stayed 4 days. The home and property are extremely well taken care of and our host was very accessible for anything we needed Would recommend this property

Our stay was really wonderful. Caroline's home is as lovely as described. The views were amazing. We were there celebrating my birthday and Caroline even baked me a birthday cake! It was very tasty and special. Thank you Caroline!

Peaceful and relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this extremely well equipped home. The kitchen had everything you could need and the cut flowers from the owner’s garden throughout the house were a nice touch.The views of the inlet were just beautiful. We so enjoyed relaxing there after our trips into Victoria and between visits to Olympic NP and Mt Ranier NP. While in the area, Butchart Gardens is a must see.

Fabulous views & home

We couldn't have been better treated in this beautiful well appointed home! The lake & gardens surrounding house are stunning! Peaceful, quiet end of the road with birds & nature. Very convenient to Butchart Gardens, downtown Victoria & hop on bike trails. Fully equipped kitchen & bathrooms, very clean, huge sparkling windows with amazing views. We had a great 7 day visit.

Great Family Vacation

This home had the most beautiful view and was a great location to access all areas around Victoria and further afield. The home had everything you could possibly need with lots of little details that made our stay more special…fresh cut flowers from the garden, bottle of red wine on arrival, hot tub and plenty of linens. Thank you Caroline for sharing your beautiful home. We had a wonderful family vacation and always looked forward to relaxing at the house with its beautiful views. We will definitely go back.

Best place I’ve ever stayed!

Pictures don’t do this justice. This house is fantastic! The views of the inlet are amazing. The windows are huge and you can see water from basically the whole house. The smaller bedroom is still quite large and comfortable. Our toddler slept on a cot on the floor in there and we were still able to walk around him. The upstairs room is enormous. Both bathrooms were very nice. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The sheets, towels, robes, were all very soft and cozy. This really is the best place we’ve ever stayed. I can’t think of a single thing I’d change.

Gorgeous Victoria Home

This house is absolutely amazing. The gardens and views are beautiful. The host puts in all the extra touches like a complimentary bottle of wine and fresh cut flowers from the garden. Inside the house is very clean too. I would stay there again as just a couple but it’s not ideal for small children. The garden and yard are beautiful but not really the place for small kids to play. Also the host is very present as it is her home, and the space does not feel particularly private.

Probably the most beautiful rental we've ever stayed in, and the most accommodating host, as well. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. The structure itself is stunning, and the decor is absolutely charming. The location is near Victoria proper without feeling "big city."

Beautiful Home!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The views from both levels of the Gorge are amazing. The home was very clean and well looked after, very spacious and there is lots of natural light due to the large windows at the back of the house on both levels. Nice back yard.

Family Christmas

Really enjoyed our stay here. Caroline is an excellent host and you can tell she cares about her guests. The place was very well equipped. Beautiful views. Should note there is a bit of noise from the nearby highway when outside, but really did not bother us. Very happy overall with the stay!

One Of The Best

We've stayed in many vacation rentals and this one was one of our favorites. The house is perfect as was the location. We had plans to head up to Nanaimo on our last day, but opted to stick around and enjoy the peaceful view instead. We did run over to Floyds Diner in Langford (wonderful) and walked around Hatley Castle (The X-Mansion) before relaxing at home. Tub upstairs was fantastic and my husband enjoyed the hot tub. Got lucky with the weather too. Taste of Victoria was a treat. This house really is in the perfect location. Would be thrilled to come back.

We bought this property for the view and waterfront. It was an old renovated cottage with minimal garden. We have transformed it into a delightful garden with an amazing new home designed and built by my son Trevor. You will find the setting peaceful and relaxing with access to all amenities within minutes. We welcome pets with sleeping kennels and responsible owners.

What makes this property unique

Close to all amenities but feels separate from the main stream city because of the amazing waterfront views of Portage Inlet and inviting garden
