Welcome to our luxurious Maalaea, Ocean & Beachfront newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom Condo. Kanai A Nalu is one of 8 complexes on our quite street. This lovely unit is situated on famous “Sugar Beach”, a beautiful and quiet white sands beach that stretches for miles—all the way to Kihei. From the lanai, enjoy the sound of the surf, as well as 180-degree spectacular, breathtaking views of Maui’s south coast. You can also enjoy views from the kitchen and second bedroom of the mountains. In the morning, watch the sunrise dancing off the peak on Haleakala, one of Hawaii's oldest volcanoes. Each winter you can witness the seasonal migration patterns of the humpback whales from the lanai.
This relaxing newly remodeled, air-conditioned unit also has cooling ceiling fans throughout. There is Wireless Internet, Cable TV’s, with netflex othet streaming networks and phone with free local calls. The condo is fully stocked with linens and towels, including Beach towels. Free parking is provided, just steps away.
You will like the spacious, fully furnished bedrooms, one with a comfy King Size bed and the other with a Queen Size bed and their own bathrooms. Enjoy an absolutely stunning view of the endless sparkling ocean from the master bedroom. Both bathrooms have beautiful décor. Both bathrooms have tiled step in showers.
Enjoy the updated, full size kitchen. It is complete with all appliances, including a microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, all cookware and all the utensils needed to cook a wonderful meal. It is only a ten-minute drive to a large grocery store in nearby Kihei. If you want to dine out, there are restaurants with both ocean and harbor views that are located within a few minutes walk, just down the street.
Our building is located on a tranquil and peaceful dead end street. Swaying palms, lush tropical gardens, BBQ’s and a pool complement the grounds. When it’s time to cool off, enjoy your favorite drink by the pool or take a snorkeling adventure with sea turtles in the warm waters in front of this lovely vacation property.

The condo is only a 12-minute drive from the airport. Best of all, Maalaea is centrally located between the towns of Lahaina and Wailea, and is only 20-30 minutes away from Makena, Kapalua, and Kaanapali. This affords you the endless recreation Hawaii is legendary for, but with the quiet serenity only the small village of Maalaea can bring you. It is no wonder why many consider Maalaea, Hawaii's 'Best Kept Secret.'

Right up the street from the condo is Maalaea village. The village includes the popular Maalaea Harbor. At the harbor you can take a snorkeling, sunset or dinner cruse. Next to the Harbor is the renowned Maui Ocean Center, Maui's #1 tourist attraction. It is a top rated aquarium that everyone will enjoy. Next to the aquarium are the charming Harbor Shops, shopping center. It features some wonderful stores, a very good ice cream parlor, and several 5 star restaurants. There are restaurants right there at the harbor with ocean views along . At the entrance to Maalaea are a water sports park and two miniature golf courses that the entire family will enjoy.

We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to stay. The condo is lovely, comfortable, and an extremely convenient location. Mary(the owner) is kind and thoughtful. It was a wonderful place for my family of 4 (parents 2 grown teenagers) to stay and enjoy our vacation in paradise. We plan to stay here again when we return to Maui, and would recommend this wonderful property to anyone!

In other words: wonderful, marvelous Our stay in this lovely unit was perfect. It met all of our needs. It is fully equipped and well kept with all the necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms and the bedrooms are very comfortable. The layout of the larger area (living and dining area) maximises openness and comfort. The lanai is the gem. Enjoy mornings relaxing as you sip your coffee/tea and you can also enjoy the evening sunsets of the harbor and beyond. We have stayed in many of the units at Kanai. This is a gem! We will be back.

Everything went exactly like it was supposed to. Got exactly what I expected. The condo and location were absolutely perfect! Structure & window treatment could’ve used a little updating but other than that it was great. Absolutely fabulous premises & beachfront. Had all the amenities to make for a perfect stay. Owner readily available for any questions. Would love to stay here again.😎

Lovely Condo thoughtfully stocked!

Mary's condo is lovely, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The attention to the little details that really added up. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kind of gadget and pan and sharp knife we needed! The appliances were all new and worked well. There were plenty of supplies such as laundry detergent, dish soap, toilet paper, etc. The pool was delightful. The location was wonderful, central to everything!!! The bedding was comfortable. My 18 year old slept on the double blow up mattress and thought it was extremely comfortable. There is only a single window air conditioner in the living room and I was so afraid it would not get cool enough to sleep. However, we opened all the windows and the cool breezes made sleeping very comfortable. The pool was very nice. The unit is centrally located and convenient to everything.Mary was a delight to deal with from beginning to end. We thoroughly loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay.

What a beautiful place and what a wonderful owner!

I found this place on a vacation rental site and thought it checked out great! The owner Mary, got right back to me with all the questions and her price was right around what I wanted to spend. I took the chance and rented it for 10 days. It was fabulous! We went on a very expensive but fun snorkel trip one day and found out later that the snorkeling right in front of this condo was so much better!!! We saw turtles every day. They would swim up to you with no fear! They are majestic! You can walk on the beach here forever! The sunsets are incredible! Our only setback was that Hurricane Lane came in. Mary the owner, was so wonderful and offered to let us stay longer if we got stuck. As it was, we did get a later flight our but we had some food stocked at the condo in case we had to go back if our plane was cancelled. She totally understood! Her housekeeper was probably happy as we left champagne, bottled water, frozen food and eggs and cereal and told Mary she could have it all! We will definitely come back!!

Wonderful Retreat

I spent 2 weeks here in Jan. 2010 with my brother. We were totally relaxed and at home immediately. The description is right on, and the location is really great, centrally located on Maui. The condo and property were very clean and well maintained. Lots of plants, tall beautiful palms and georgous flowers make the surroundings very tropical and serene. I really enjoyed working the Mary, the owner, she answered all my questions prompty and was a pleasure to work with. There are no surprises here, other than it is nicer than the photos. We cooked most all of our meals here and enjoyed eating them on the lanai, where we started and ended our day. We were here during whale season, and saw so many whales, just from our lanai and the beach. The whales come into this bay to give birth and the activity is outstanding. You did not need binoculars to see them. It was great being so close to Maalaea Harbor, we could walk down there to book our whale watch, and they have many other trips to sign up for there. Also, nice shopping and restaurants, and just a neat place to walk around and look at the boats. The beach here is great, it goes on for about 4 miles towards Kihei, and is mostly empty. Its wonderful for walking and laying in the sun. I also enjoyed being able to see Haleakala, Molokini and Kahoolowe from the property and beach. This is such a great place to stay, I recommend it.

The best choice you can make.

We just got back from a 2 week stay. We have 3 kids -17, 13 and 7. I was very nervous to find a place that was comfortable for all of us. Right from the very beginning Mary was available to answer every question I had. She sent us a list of everything to do on Maui, from restaurants to activities. This was fantastic! Check-in was seamless. The condo was spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, right on the beach. We did have to walk about 50 feet to pass the rock wall and then step onto the beach which had some snorkeling. The location was central and only took 15-20 min to get to the Walmart/Target, many restaurants and food trucks. Parking was available everyday. The pool was very relaxing. My 7 year old daughter met kids every day. The barbecue by the pool was also great. The condo really needed nothing more. It was extremely well organized with labels for everything in all the closets and cabinets. Since there were 5 of us, we did need an additional bed. There was a queen size blow-up mattress (with linens) that we set up in the living room at night. The air conditioning unit cooled off the living room/kitchen area nicely and there were fans in all the rooms. However, the smaller bedroom was very warm and my son had a hard time sleeping. The master bedroom was warm but not as hot - this was my only negative. Overall, it was great and we loved it. You will be very happy booking this condo. Thank you, Mary!

Five Stars for Mary's Condo

We came to Maui (frm WA state) to celebrate my retirement and to do our part to contribute to the economic recovery. We appreciate very much how beautiful and convenient the condo was being centrally located on the island. Mary made it very easy with all the information she communicated prior to arriving. The communication was outstanding and everything was as advertised & better in person. This was a perfect stay for two couple traveling together. The property grounds were impeccable, pool cleaned every morning and the BBQs were clean. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had everything we needed. Thanks Mary for a great stay.

Not completely happy.

Many labels telling us dos and don'ts though out the condo, not a welcoming feeling. Master bath floor very sticky. Blonde hair ball in second bath. We are all brunettes. The washing machine had mold in the soap dispenser. We were expected to do laundry (sheets and towels) We were told not to leave more tan 3 loads for them to do. We paid a cleaning fee. What was that used for????

Absolutely wonderful!!

We loved the condo and the location. Close enough to most things but also far enough for it to be nice and quiet. Snorkeling right at the condo ocean area is fabulous cause we got to swim with turtles. We definitely recommend this place and this owner. She was great keeping in touch and the condo had everything we needed.

Maui Getaway

Great location by the beach. Condo is updated and had all the amenities. The complex is also very well maintained. The beach is 2 miles long with access only from each end and we were at on end. Awesome place.

Great Place

It is an amazing place to stay. The property is clean and comfortable located on the beach. Close to all of the tourist destinations but laid back so you can enjoy the beauty without being in a crowd. It is close to west maui and the road to Hana. Would definitely recommend this property.

Everything was great! The host is amazing! Kept us up to date on everything that was going on before our trip. Answered all questions in 24hrs or less, they even had a binder with everything we might possibly have questions on & suggestions on adventures in the rental. Perfect size condo.

Very easy to rent. The condo was exactly the perfect size for my family of 5. Very comfortable. The beach is too extreme for toddlers. All in all a great place to stay.

Nice little condo with some updates in Maalaea. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed. I appreciate how quickly the owner responded to our emails. I would recommend this property although for us we will probably stay in another area of Maui.

We bought our unit about 30yrs ago. We had been visiting Maui for about 10 years when we found this well kept secret place.
I am retired LE. We found this as a break from the hectic work our work. We come here to relax and forget. We can relax here or partake many of the near by activities.

Why they chose this property

We love it because it is close to everything but it is no way over crowded. Our grounds are manicured beautifully, the complex Kana’i A Nalu is peaceful, the owners and guests alike are friendly. We can walk on the beach and not step over hundreds of people. Sometimes we can even have it all to ourselves. You are only 10 - 15 minutes from most places and things. ( airport, Kihei, Wailea, Lahina, Kanaapali, surfing, boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving, zip lining, ATV's, horseback riding.) You name it its close!
During whale season you can whale watch from the lanai or the beautiful grounds.

What makes this property unique

You can walk to the harbor for boat trip ( sunset cruises, fishing trips, scuba diving, snorkeling and whale watching ) Miniature golfing, bumper boats and rock climbing are right next to the Ocean Aquarium which is fantastic. There are also several nice restaurants and shopping right there along with a small grocery store.
