Both propane tanks available, where we’re completely out of gasHot tub, not working and look like it had never been viable Said kayaks were provided, but failed to mention that they were child size and none of us could use them There was no speaker as mentioned was provided Also dvd player was unusable Firewood barely covered, fire pit had not been emptied in a long time very difficult to start a fire Overall I feel I did not at all get what I paid for
We had a great stay at trout lake! David was very quick to answer when we needed him. There was a large storm during our stay and the entire area lost power for hours but it was even more of an excuse to sit outside and go for a swim and enjoy the view of the dock. This is our second time staying here and we love it! Only complaint is I do think the beds in the main house could use new pillows.
We had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful lake, fishing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing! Loved the multi level decks and views of the lake! We also had a chance to explore the area and took some great hikes (Hart Nature Preserve and Mt. Arab) and even took a day trip over to see Singer Castle! Definitely one of our family’s favorite vacations!
My coworker and I were traveling for work and the Mountain Escape was perfect accommodations for us. I would definitely come back to vacation here so I could enjoy all of the amenities and activities around.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. A few things to note.. Some of the posted pictures are outdated. It was shared that the hot tub may or may not be functioning, it was not functioning, which was fine. The bathtub in the bathroom was not functioning (shower available and functioning). There was an outlet in the kitchen that did not work. Some of the items that were listed as available for use in the lake were in poor condition (broken paddles, paddle board that did not hold air, pontoon boat that was very difficult to get in and out of gear). Washer and dryer available however washing machine lid does not stay shut. The bunkhouse was locked when we arrived with no key, The host was quick to get that taken care of for us.Primary Living Spaces were pretty clean although lots of cobwebs and dust bunnies in corners and around walls. Some dishes required washing before use.Overall we had a relaxing stay. The beds and furniture were pretty comfortable, the view of the lake was perfect, with plenty of deck space, a nice large dock allowed for fishing and relaxation. Top patio with the fire pit was great, plenty of wood available.Remember to bring and soap, dish soap, bathroom toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner, laundry detergent, if plan to use washer, etc. I also would recommend extra paper towels and toilet paper if you have more than two people
We found everything we could have possibly needed in this home for our 2 week stay. Everything was clean and enjoyable, and we can’t wait to do it again!
We had a fantastic stay. Property is super clean and provided so much to do. Even on the rainy days we enjoyed playing cards. The lake is beautiful and super clean. We made use of the kayaks and canoe. I highly recommend for families. We will be back!
location offered amazing scenery. House was very relaxing. The snow made the views magical

We appreciate 5 star responses when we deliver the home as presented and detailed. It’s exactly as photographed, cleaned, sanitized and priced at cost effective rates. One can spend tens of thousands on opulence. This waterfront home is a great spot and has more amenities and fun surprises than listed. Please send us 5 stars when we deliver the home as listed. We can’t control weather…
My fiancé and I had a nice quiet stay. The house was nice and clean and we had good communication with the property manager, who was more than helpful!

Winter visits are awesome. Put down the computer and enjoy outdoors. Downhill skiing, cross country, ice rinks, snowmobile season, ice fishing and waterfall hikes to see the ice falls. Hot tubs remain closed but the fun remains.
My family and I enjoyed our time in Hermon. It was a bit further away from things than we anticipated but we had a great time. The home was well equipped and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you
We had a great stay at this lovely house right on the lake. It snowed everyday which made it feel more like the holidays.
We wanted to find a place off the beaten path and enjoy the Adirondacks for a few days.
The homeowner was very helpful assisting us with locations to visit during our stay.
Thank you
Great little cabin on the lake. Beware there are a lot of steps. Was not an issue for our group. David was great. Answered my call whenever I had a question about anything.
This property was everything we had hoped for. We enjoyed being right on the lake. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us. A half bath in the bunkhouse would have been nice, but other than that we had a great time!

Thank you and yes…. We have sent civil engineers to evaluate the second bath in the past. The elevated granite rock that comprises the property completely prohibits line digging for sanitary needs and winter freeze protection. The sanitary line installation is extremely cost prohibitive and cost more than a home.
My family had a lovely weekend stay at this cozy cottage right on the waterfront. Views of the lake were beautiful. The bunkhouse was great for our teenage / young adult children. We were in the area mainly for my daughter's graduation, so we were unable to enjoy all of the amenities this place has to offer, but we certainly enjoyed our time here.
