Our condo is located in the KEAUHOU KONA SURF & RACQUET COMPLEX and is one of VERY FEW units that HAS 3 BEDROOMS and 3 BATHROOMS and IS DIRECT OCEANFRONT! And Now offers A/C to guests that want it- read below.

Unit 3-301 is a 1700 sq foot END UNIT located on the third floor of a three story building . It has 20 ft vaulted ceilings, a loft and a very private WRAP AROUND TILED LANAI.

NOTE: NO ELEVATOR. Requires walking up 3 flights of stairs.

The unit is directly on the ocean so it has a good flow of ocean and mountain breezes throughout.
There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms, kitchen, dining, living areas and on the lanai.

For guests that want the OPTION OF A/C-it is available in all the all the BEDROOMS AND THE LIVING AREA for an ADDITIONAL FEE of $25 per day. (Electricity in Hawaii is really expensive)

Since purchasing the condo in May 2014 we have added new living room, dinning room, beds and bedroom furnishings and have decorated the unit with amazing art work by the local artists which gives the unit the Aloha Spirit feeling!

The kitchen has been completely renovated with Cherry cabinets, granite counter tops and new appliances. In November 2018 the major renovation of the lanai doors, windows, tile and bamboo flooring and 2 of the bathrooms were completed.

Master bdrm- king sized bed and opens onto the oceanfront lanai.
Second bdrm - queen sized bed and mountain view.
Loft bedroom- queen sized bed, large bathroom with shower.

The condo is equipped with 2 large TV's, lots of movies, books and games.

It includes FREE Unlimited Telephone calling within the USA and Canada

Wrap around lanai is furnished with a comfy lounger and has casual seating for eight, which provides a relaxing spot for watching the whales and dolphins.
The lanai faces directly west for viewing the famous Hawaiian sunsets.
The lanai provides a panoramic view of the ocean and coastlines and a spectacular 'WAVE SHOW' during high surf.
Being only 50 feet from the water's edge, the sounds of the surf and scent of the pacific fill the air for a Hawaiian vacation experience you won't forget!

Located in Keauhou in a quiet gated property, this oceanfront complex sits on 17 prime acres with coconut palms and lush tropical landscaping. It has three lighted professional tennis courts, pickle ball, a large pool area, social pavilions and barbecue areas. This ideal location allows you to walk to shopping, restaurants, cinemas and Kahaluu beach, one of the best snorkel beaches on the island!

The complex borders the famous Kona Golf & Country Club.

Relaxing Stay

Beautiful place to stay, relax and unwind. Owner is easy to work with. Everything you need is right there in condo. Go to Walmart for anything you need priced very reasonable.. Be aware that most everything closes down early evening on the island.

Amazing Ocean front Condo

The condo view was spectacular. The location was perfect for all the Aloha we wanted to experience. All 3 couples had a fantastic time in Hawaii and loved loved loved the place.

Love Kona

Had a wonderful & relaxing vacation. Loved the wraparound balcony & view is absolutely incredible! Has everything you need. All new appliances, fully equipped kitchen. Didn’t need to use AC during this time of year. Temperature was fine. Beautiful well maintained gated community, very safe & quiet.

So awesome -- it's the kind of place you want to keep a secret (but I won't!)

Similar to a five star hotel, but it's a condo right on the water, top floor, air conditioning, fantastic. Rented Unit 3-301 a three bedroom KKSR condo from Shawna for two weeks. TLDR: Five stars from us. Details: 3-301 is a top floor corner unit right on the water. The air conditioning works impeccably and allows you to escape the heat. The place is stocked like your home— kitchen appliances (even an extra coffee pot), glassware for 16 and flatware for 8, cocktail equipment, ricemaker, 6 frying pans, multiple saucepans, two granite deck tables with four chairs each, 4 boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, umbrellas, tennis racquets and balls for two doubles teams, heavy duty Whirlpool dryer and washer, bath tools for 8, remote controlled fans and AC, two master bedroom/ bathrooms. The interior decor matches the ocean dramatic setting — cherry wood cabinets, stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher, etched glass dining room table, local artists’ photos and original oil paintings. Latest in electronics: Wifi, complimentary Netflix and typical streaming services, plus full cable. First class the whole way but way more private than a Four-Seasons. Awesome.

The balcony alone deserves 5 stars!!!

We spent almost all the time we were in the unit on the balcony. It is as close to the ocean as the pictures make it look, and the spray from the waves is so dramatic and powerful it is awesome! We always had binoculars out to look at ships and dolphins passing by and took a ton of sunset pictures. There were plenty of towels, nice boogie boards, some snorkel gear and the wifi worked great. We brought our whole family out (7 people) and the owner was kind enough to allow an extra guest for a small fee. We had enough room to spread out so that everyone had a private space when they needed it. The owner has done some nice upgrades - new kitchen & carpeting, and the furnishings are nice and comfortable. We came during the 2018 eruption and were very worried about VOG (volcano smog), but no one in our group experienced respiratory issues. The location is great with a snorkel/surf beach (Kahalu'u) within walking distance, magic sands a few minutes north (by car), and Capt. Cook about 15 minutes to the south. We kayaked at Capt. Cook and did get to swim with the spinner dolphins, and we did the 2-tank dive/snorkel with the Manta rays and it was life changing! The only down side we saw was the lack of air conditioning, but that is pretty common in HI. There was some breeze from the trade winds and the fans, but it was still pretty warm in the evening. Wonderful stay - 5 stars!!!

The condo was well located, and the view was amazing. I was very happy to have added a/c, we needed it here. The breezes were good but not enough on their own.The place was not clean enough. Pots and pans were old and blackened. The microwave handle was broken and difficult to use. The loft bedroom bathroom lights were missing and non-LED-so hot I couldn't turn them on without added heat to an already hot room.Even though we were on the third floor-we had several roaches scurrying around. The pest treatment needs to be stronger and/or more often.The condo had beautiful artwork and the furnishings were comfortable and attractive-loved the dining room table!Thank you for sharing your place.

Gorgeous view

The stay was good overall. The condo was not as clean as it should've been. The washing machine was moldy. The bedding/sheets smelled bad. AC is not included (but is available) and you don't really need it but the screens were torn. Overall, the condo has great potential but needs some maintenance. It was spacious and convenient and one could not get a better view of the ocean, sunsets or stars.

Best Ocean View

We had an amazing time staying at this property. The location is unbeatable—literally steps from the ocean! You can’t get any closer to the water. The house itself is well-equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen essentials to beach gear. It’s perfect for groups, with three private areas that were ideal for our three couples. We all had our own space but could still come together to enjoy the amazing views and shared amenities.The pool was a great spot to relax, and the pickleball courts were a fun bonus! We also never had any issues with parking, which was a big plus. The owner was fantastic with communication, always prompt and helpful with any questions. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations, and we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic Hawaiian vacation!

Beautiful Oceanfront Condo

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this condo. Other than sleeping, we probably spent 90% of our time on the lanai. What a beautiful view of the breaking waves! Everything about this property is exceptional.

Being able to see and hear the ocean was such a complete experience and a wonderful property to boot! Home came with everything you need for snorkeling, beach time, racquet sports or simply relaxing by the pool. The only problem was that our trip went by too quickly.

Great ocean-front place

Loved Shawna's place. Everything was great, especially the sound of the ocean and the views! The place is really close to Kahalu'u beach, which has good options for snorkelling. The place is stocked with equipments for Tennis, boogie boards, pool noodles, which was very convenient. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Location

This is a beautiful property and the photos are accurate. There was ample space for our family of 4. The kitchen had everything we needed and more than your average property. We encountered some dirty dishes so gave a 4 star for cleanliness. But overall, the unit was otherwise very very clean. The location is perfect with gorgeous ocean view. We loved eating meals outside on the Lanai. Just be aware there are several flights of stairs to get to the unit. The grounds are quite beautiful and entry was easy. Communication with management was great.

What a perfect condo for our Kona trip

We are a group of 3 couples who enjoy traveling and diving together. This condo and location was absolutely perfect. 3 bedrooms 3 baths right on the water front with a huge lani. Who could ask for more. Close to groceries restaurants. And beaches it was perfect for our trip. We paid the extra for the ac and it worked wonderfully. I would definatly recommend this well equipped condo.

Great Property

This is a wonderful property and a great location. The property manager was fantastic to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. I will stay here again when i come to Kona! Beautiful!

Cleaner after we left

First, all the hand soap was watered down in all three bathrooms. The Dawn dish soap in the kitchen was watered down along with all the bodywash in all three bathrooms. With Covid still being in full swing, I would expect full strength soap to wash hands and dishes with. We were given 2 dish soap pods for the dishwasher and one needed to be used for the dishes the day of our departure. That left us with 1 dish soap pod for 9 days. Every dish we pulled out of the cupboard was not clean. Food stuck on utensils, plates and bowls. So we had to wash dishes before we used them with watered down dawn dish soap. There was a layer of dust and grease on the large utensils sitting on the counter in the canister next to the stove that had to be washed as well. The bathroom towels were sour hanging in the main bathroom and several in the closet. I had to wash a load of towels the first day we were there. The bathroom rugs were all very dirty, they obviously hadn't been washed for a very long time. I washed all the bathroom rugs on the first day as we couldn't stand to use them. The freezer was not keeping things frozen and we had food spoil and ice didn't last a day. Very disappointed and would not stay in this unit again.

We have been coming to Kona on vacation for the past 35 years staying in various condos on the Big Island. The Keauhou area became our favourite spot, and ten years ago we purchased a two week timeshare at the Kona Coast Resort nearby. We have enjoyed many wonderful family vacations during our annual 2 weeks at the timeshare. Since our boys are now young adults we want to spend more time in Kona so decided to purchase this unit at the Kona Surf and Racquet Club. We plan to eventually make Kona our second home.

We chose this property because of its prime ocean front location in Keauhou, close to shopping, beaches and many other activities, but at the same time within a quiet, secure and very friendly complex. This specific unit was chosen because of the spectacular views, its spaciousness and its homey feeling.
