A wonderful rural getaway but close enough to enjoy all the fun of Cooperstown. Best for us: only 6 minutes drive to the Glimmerglass Festival! And the entrance to Hyde Hall is just right down the road! And I love Karin's solution to the check-in/access issue. Best I've ever come across.
Beautiful home with amazing views of the mountains. Very close to the Baseball Hall of Fame and a couple breweries. We had a great stay. Very clean, convenient and communication with the owners was phenomenal. Highly recommend!
The house is so charming, interesting , well equipped and in a great location just outside of the busy Cooperstown “ downtown.
The house was exceptionally clean (always a huge plus), and had everything we could possibly need for our stay.
Comfortable beds and plush towels which always make for a comfortable relaxing stay.
Clean house with everything as advertised. Nice quiet spot that is very close to Glimmerglass State Park. We used this as a home base to explore Cooperstown and found it to be convenient and spacious enough for 2 adults and 4 kids. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again!
We booked this property as a place for my parents to spend time with our daughter while my husband and I were in a wedding in Cooperstown. The house was a great size for our group and was a beautiful drive to the Farmers Museum about 20 minutes away. Cows all around the property were so fun to see and the quiet road was very serene.
It was a clean quirky home. The views and surroundings were beautiful! We loved the fresh cut flowers left on the counter. The home was also close to Cooperstown.
The hosts were very accommodating to our needs. House is quaint. Snow storm in April was a bit of a challenge, but again the hosts were GREAT! Side note, must stop in Sharon at the Brimstone Bakery on your way back to wherever you're going!
We stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed the clean house, easy check in/out process, and bovine neighbors! It was an easy trip to Glimmerglass state park as well as into downtown Cooperstown. The house was a great home base to explore the area and a wonderful quiet and clean home to which to return. The perfect amount of space for our family of four and the great touches such as the flowers and chocolates waiting for us on arrival were much appreciated! Would absolutely stay here again and hope to next summer!
We absolutely loved both the house and location of the house. It fit all of our needs perfectly. We went to Cooperstown to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame and it was within a 10 to 15 minute scenic drive to get there. It was a positive experience from beginning to end.

Great location in the country
We were not aware of the steep staircase. There could have been a few amenities e.g. Coffee and fixings, shampoo and body wash. We only stayed one of our 2 days as the "cottage" itself needs a good refurbishing.

We are sorry that our house did not live up to your expectations. We strive to accurately represent the property, both with a written description and with photos, as we do not wish anyone to be unpleasantly surprised by the "quirks and charms" of the 200-year old house.
(We have never included a photo of the renovated stairway, because it not possible to show perspective in a photo.)
We endeavor to provide a clean, quiet, convenient, economical option for guests to stay and enjoy our area.
A limited number of toiletries (shampoo, soap, q-tips, sunscreen) along with additional paper products, a hair dryer, and a full first aid kit, are available in the bathroom closet and drawers, in case anyone forgot items when traveling.
There is a full first floor bedroom, and a second bed on the first floor, that would not have required the use of the stairs to access the bathroom.
