Near the edge of a bluff overlooking the ocean, this special condominium is a favorite with many guests who return each year. Comments in the guest book reflect how much they enjoy vacationing here in their "home away from home" and some have even said that this end unit is their favorite one-bedroom condominium on the north shore.

Hanalei Bay and Bali Hai, the landmark mountain made famous in "South Pacific," are among the awesome sights of the expansive ocean vista that guests enjoy here. A mirrored wall in the living room makes fabulous views visible from virtually every angle within the condo. Relax indoors or out on the lanai to take in the gorgeous scenery - boats sailing by, playful dolphins offshore and, in winter months, giant humpback whales. In the evenings, spectacular sunsets color the sky along Kauai's beautiful north shore.

A few steps away is the pool where guests can lounge and take a refreshing swim from time to time. Beach lovers appreciate the path which leads to sea level and a sandy beach. Plan a picnic here or just laze in the warm sun, relax and enjoy the views.

The view was magnificent This was our 2nd Pali Ke Kia visit & we loved it again. The 1st floor unit provided an open area from the lanai to the back yard and ocean view. Just breath taking sunset with the mountains and ocean view

Excellent location for view and value. This well appointed one-bedroom overlooks entire Hanalei Bay with Bali Hai view. Lanai & grassy overlook makes it complete. Walk steep ramp down to small private beach, or to VG public beach with restaurant, bar & amenities (access via stairs adjacent to 1 Hanalei Bay Hotel). Car needed to enjoy Hanalei retaurants & other amenities. Will Return.

Beautiful condo in paradise

The condo was wonderful! Beautiful view right off the patio and located very close to north shore attractions (Tunnels Beach and Hanalei Bay are a must)! The condo was clean and the property was well taken care of. Only downside to staying on this side of the island is that all tours/attractions seem to go out of the south or east shore (about and hour drive). We would definitely stay here again!

Awesome location and condo.

Loved everything about the property and the stay. Didn't love having to take to key to Lihue by the airport because I wasn't leaving the island and it was quite out of my way. There has to be an easier solution to returning the key.

We come to Pali Ke Kua every other year since 1975 when Kauai had a single traffic light in Lihue. We've stayed in many of the PKK units and this one was great. Will probably come back in 2025 for another 2 weeks.

Perfect location and view

The paratmenr has everything you need- chairs, umbrella, cooler, well stocked kitchen. The WiFi is terrible, even being right next to the modem. And the tv is very very small. In this day and age of inexpensive TV’s it would be nice if they upgraded to something you can see from the sofa.

The beach chairs and washer / dryer combo came in handy. Not condo related, but if you want to go out to dinner, be sure to make dinner reservations early. Also, the Hanalei construction should be accounted for. We had very little trouble getting over to Hanalei once we planned accordingly.

Lovely location. I could get down to a secluded beach fightclose to the property. Originally I Wasserstein concerned about too much traffic to the beach. , but it was off to the side, ok.it rained a lot in Princeville,, which I understand. So no problem.only problem I saw was an umbrella. It would have been nice to have a large golf umbrella

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Chose this rental based on the view, which was as advertised. Loved seeing the nene arrive on the lawn every afternoon - watching them interact was a surprising highlight of our stay!No AC, most noticeable in the afternoon leading up to sunset, which unfortunately was usually when we returned to the unit after our day's activities. Had to close the shades to block out the sun, which kind of defeats the purpose of that gorgeous view during the afternoon hours. (Fans have nothing on the beating sun in August.) Also, people often hang out on the lawn to see the sunset, take photos, etc. This didn't bother us, but good to know if you are planning a stay.)We let KVR know when we returned keys to the office that there were MANY dead bugs in the bathroom. Not a handful, but loads. Seems like there is an infestation in the wall or behind the vanity mirror. (I also emailed photos and a video, but did not hear back.) The shower window screen is not flush, so mosquitoes were able to get in. The TV is comically small, smaller than many computer monitors. While we are not visiting Kauai to watch TV, we did want to see the Olympics, and sometimes it's fun to put on a movie. FYI PKK pool is quite small, and BBQing is not permitted on the property. (We saw many units with electric grills on the lanai, but not in 106.) One must walk down the rather steep path to the beach to grill! (We did not.)

I couldn’t get used to the wicker furniture, seems a bit outdated. Small TV as well. The views were spectacular, and every night the sunset was right out the back sliding door.

We loved the private beach access just outside our door, and the condo was super well equipped for everything we needed (including a cooler, beach chairs, plenty of fans, etc). I was worried about no AC coming from the brutal heat in TX but it cooled off nicely every night and was only warm in the evening (but you can mitigate by closing the sun shades when you're away). We were very happy we chose to stay here and to return again some day!
