Tucked away in the prestigious Anse Chastanet / Jade Mountain area of Soufrière, La Batterie Villa is a private Caribbean retreat designed for relaxation, comfort, and unforgettable views. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the villa features a tranquil swimming pool with a shaded cabana, a serene lily pond, and expansive decks that invite you to slow down and take in your surroundings. Perched approximately 300 feet above the Caribbean Sea and facing the iconic Pitons, the villa enjoys cooling island breezes and panoramic scenery that never fails to impress.

Inside, La Batterie blends traditional Caribbean architecture with refined craftsmanship. Native stone, teak, and rich mahogany woods create a warm, elegant atmosphere, while classic louvered plantation-style doors open the home to the sights, sounds, and natural beauty of the outdoors.

The villa offers three spacious bedrooms, each with a king-size bed and a private en suite bathroom, comfortably accommodating up to six guests. Every bedroom includes wardrobe closets and its own lounging patio for added privacy. The master suite overlooks the Caribbean Sea, while the two additional bedrooms enjoy peaceful views of the gardens. These two rooms may also be arranged with twin beds upon advance request.

A loft above the living area can accommodate up to two additional guests; however, we recommend this space for teenagers to ensure maximum comfort.

La Batterie is thoughtfully designed for both relaxation and shared moments. The terracotta-tiled living and dining rooms face the sea and open onto a stunning 40-foot teak deck, offering a front-row seat to the Pitons and passing boats below. The dining room seats six and is an ideal setting for memorable Caribbean meals. Guests may arrange private dining with our wonderful in-house chef, Stephanie, for a truly effortless vacation experience. Breakfast can also be enjoyed poolside at the cabana, where the gentle sound of the waterfall sets the tone for a perfect day.

The villa is fully staffed, including two housekeepers, a gardener, pool maintenance, and nighttime security, all included in your rental. For those who wish to dine at the villa, Stephanie works closely with guests to create customized menus based on your preferences. She prepares everything from authentic St. Lucian dishes to American and European favorites with a Creole flair. Meal preparation fees are $15 USD for breakfast and $30 USD for lunch or dinner, plus the cost of ingredients. Grocery shopping can be conveniently arranged by the staff. Please note that the preparation fee is per meal, not per person.

For guest peace of mind, the property is equipped with exterior security cameras located only at entry points such as gates and pathways. There are no cameras inside the villa or in guest living areas, decks, or the pool. Cameras are not actively monitored during guest stays and recordings are reviewed only when necessary for staff verification, weather events, or reported incidents.

Everywhere you look from the Villa there are amazing views from the Pitons, to the reef right below, to the beautiful garden meticulously maintained by Terry! We really enjoyed our time! The staff was fabulous and took great care of us and we always felt safe traveling with Clavie and at night with BK! Stephanie kept us well fed with delicious food and Bibi kept the place spotless. Epic trip and we will definitely be back!

La Batterie was so beyond our expectations, I don’t know where to start! My interactions with you were timely, responsive, and incredibly helpful toward making our 4 days on the island perfect. The view, house, and general ambience were exceptional, as was every staff member. We can’t imagine there would be a better place to stay anywhere on St. Lucia or the Caribbean. Remarkable Experience!

Our entire trip was amazing! The property is beautiful and the entire staff treated us like family. We had such an incredible experience in St Lucia and cannot wait to go back! Stephanie's cooking was incredible, we only went out to eat one time while we were there and the food did not even come close to what we had back at the villa. We 100% recommend the hike with Terry if you can fit it into your schedule, it was such a beautiful start to our day and Terry was wonderful company. Everything about our trip was perfect and we would love to be able to return to La Batterie soon!

An absolutely delightful villa.

La Batterie was the ideal place to spend quality time with our family. The views are beyond belief - every day, regardless of the weather. The staff looked after everything we needed and prepared lovely meals for the nights we stayed at the villa. The villa is extremely large with beautiful grounds and a refreshing swimming pool. All the bedrooms have comfy beds and the living areas had plenty of seating. Truly an ideal and private spot. There are some terrific restaurants a short drive away for those who want to venture out, and many local sites to see, as well as nice hikes and snorkeling just down the road.

A very comfortable setting with a spectacular view

La Batterie is a beautiful place with a spacious interior and a deck that affords a million dollar view. The accommodations are only exceeded by the welcoming staff that made us feel at home. Indeed, they went out of there way at times to show off their island to us. Their hospitality went beyond a pay cheque and our stay with them was a joy. Our vacation to St. Lucia will be a highlight that will live in my memory forever and I can attribute it to La Batterie and the friendly and generous people we encountered there. I highly recommend this place and the people.

One of the best villas in the entire Caribbean

We have stayed here on several occasions. The views are breathtaking. The villa is gorgeous. The staff is incredible. Cynthia makes fantastic food, and B.K., Terry, and Marylin are as friendly as can be. The town is great, the locals are great and it is very safe. Stay away from cruise ships and the crowds in Castries. Seasoned travelers stay in Sourfiere. In short, this is a world class villa in every sense of the word. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is one of my favorite spots on the planet.

Wonderful villa in best location

This is one of the most beautiful villas we have seen. Spacious and tastefully decorated with lots of room for our kids to run around. The view from the terace is just as breathtaking as described. Staff is helpful and friendly. Mike was more than helpful in organising cooking and provisions for us. The ride to the beach is 3 minutes - it's one of the most stunning beaches of the island. We could have probably walked there (drove because of the kids). A memorable stay and we can only recommend La Batterie!!

Amazing views are worth it!!!

We were a group of 6 celebrating a 50th birthday milestone. Property was big enough for us to each find our own corners to relax, and morning and night we were repeatedly consumed by the views—esp from master bedroom. The staff was attentive and easy to work with. There were US and G plugs in bathrooms, ample closet spaces and despite the open concept felt that each room still had privacy. Order coffee from the gardener! Def recommend.

Breathtaking and LOVED the staff!!!

I can't even begin to tell you how perfect this trip/experience was and how much we loved this villa. From the view, the staff and convenience of being near the beach, having a pool. I could go on and on, this was the best vacation that we have taken. We had a fantastic time and would not hesitate to come back. I would give this 10 stars if I could. I would like to personally thank Clavie for driving us around everywhere and making recommendations for dinner and day time excursions. I don't want to leave out Terry, BK and the ladies because they were awesome too.

Wonderful vacation

We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in St. Lucia and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. La Batterie has incredible views, and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed having coffee on the deck every morning taking in the scenery, flowers, and birds. Stephanie cooked several delicious meals for us, and Bibi kept the house immaculate. We ventured next door for dinner and down the road to Anse Chastenet to go to the beach and snorkel. The pool was refreshing every afternoon, and the owners were very responsive and helpful. On our final evening, we went on a whale-watching cruise with Mystic Man Tours and saw a pod of orcas. It was the perfect end to a memorable trip.

Fantastic Week

Had a lovely time with a group of 9 at La Batterie over Christmas. The house and grounds were very well-maintained and clean. The viws was as beautiful as promised, and we had a lovely sunset over the sea seemingly every night. Great location, close to the beach down the street (very steep) with a lovely secluded pool as well. Everyone on the staff was very attentive and very friendly for the entire week. Clavie seemed to have all sorts of connections and set us up with various tours and trips thoughout the week, which was extremely helpful. We would recommend this villa to anyone looking to take a trip to St. Lucia. A+.

Thanks again for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful St. Lucian villa. We had such an amazing week on the island. We miss enjoying our fresh brewed coffee each morning on the deck overlooking the Pitons. What a wonderful way to start each day! La Batterie was everything we expected.

The spellbinding pictures representing this property proved to be perfectly accurate. The accommodating staff was never intrusive, but always present when needed. Mornings and evenings on the deck watching passing ships, dusk welcoming back the big night sky crowded with stars, and the ever present outlines of the Pitons are imbedded in our memories. Our five nights passed far too quickly and we needed five more. One of the very best destinations for a peaceful, trouble-free, no-frills escape to another place in time. Return Trip-Living in a Postcard!

We stayed in this home for our 25th anniversary & again for our 51st! So many great memories from the past & wonderful new ones from this visit. The location & surroundings are awesome! The staff was friendly & knowledgeable-we looked forward to seeing them each day. They made our stay very pleasant & seamless. Food was great & fresh-thank you Stephanie! Beds were comfortable & well made each day- thank you Bibi! It was wonderful to wake up to the Pitons each morning & to sit on the deck at night to see the stars highlighting the shadows of the Pitons. We swam in the well maintained pool twice each day. Afternoons we could be found on the deck or in the hammock for a nap. So much to see & do in the area-Clavie’s taxi service was available & treated us well. We won’t forget our Fantastic return visit!

Dream Come True

This was truly a dream come true vacation for our family. My husband and I had been to St Lucia many years ago and wanted to return to share its beauty with our family. This spectacular villa provided the perfect opportunity. The views of the Pitons are stunning, and the home and grounds are just beautiful. We also really appreciated the staff at La Batterie. They were warm and welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful, never obtrusive, always professional. Our family enjoyed Stephanie and Bibi's delicious meals, Terry’s coffee and rain forest hike, diving, snorkeling, birding and other fun tours Clavie took us to on the island. Mike and Jennifer also did an excellent job providing information and answering all our questions in advance of the trip. We are truly grateful for the wonderful time we shared here and we all hope to return one day!

Views! Views! Views!..Exceptional Everything

We had an amazing time....the villa is very special, the saltwater pool is amazing and you are surrounded by beauty everywhere and the views from the villa were like looking at a postcard but only better! Your staff were very welcoming and were determined to make our visit special...the arrangements worked very well and we got to know them very well. For us it worked well as there was a lot to do within 30 mins of the villa, and Clavie was always on hand to take us to where we needed to go. I have already recommend the villa to a couple of my colleagues who I would think enjoy staying in 5* accommodation which is not part of a hotel complex. The property and the gardens are just amazing and you should be very proud of your parents for creating it and proud of yourself for adding to their legacy. Thank you for an amazing holiday and we hope to come back in the future.

“We have had the most wonderful few days here with our family. We were given a wonderful welcome, what a beautiful place and spot. The view.....we could never tire of!!. Staying at La Batterie for a few nights has been a truly perfect way to end our holiday here in St Lucia. No pictures or photos can do justice to the spectacular view that greets you as soon as you set foot through the gateway leading to the house. A beautiful house, beautifully furnished with a very friendly team at hand to offer their help, producing local dishes on request. We returned home super relaxed and with the most delicious locally roasted coffee beans!! Amazing Beyond Words...So Beautiful!!!

Wow...this house and staff is completely amazing beyond words. You never get tired of this view with the most beautiful beaches, snorkeling & diving within a 10 min walk. Stephanie is an amazing cook and we really enjoyed Clavie driving us around. This is the absolute best area of St Lucia to stay in by far! The pool is gorgeous & amazing for the afternoons heat! This house & property is huge all on 1 level - it will make you feel like you live a lifestyle of rich & famous for sure! (No one wants to see more of our photos cause it makes them too jealous :) Thank you so much for sharing this beyond amazing home with us & the welcome basket & sparking wine was such a wonderful surprise. Special Place and Very Special People

The location of La Batterie Villa is the initial Wow Factor. After settling into the villa, the experience rises past that initial response to one of deep appreciation for the staff who support your daily needs while there and their culture and history. They are the jewels of St Lucia. The history of the Villa and its location are steeped literally upon the edge of the Soufrierre volcanic cauldron enriching ones understanding of the geologic formation that is the Carribbean and its part in the continually evolving story of planet Earth. The owners of this property are to be applauded for their generosity to others in sharing this property with the world and in supporting the employment of the persons of Soufrierre whose life stories are entwined with it. Much appreciation to them!!!!
