Lido di Camaiore is perfect for those who love walking and walking on the fine sand of the sea: in recent years it has been enhanced with renovations on the promenade, with its recently built jetty and various markets. The country despite having lived a life during the summer season is also in the winter, I personally prefer the spring and autumn seasons.
The perfect way to experience this place is in my opinion the bike, of course the car is very convenient but it is still easy to get around by public transport, local tourism also organizes excursions or boat trips.
Sea, mountain, marble quarries, art cities are close.
The nearby Viareggio is famous for its carnival in winter, for its beaches in the summer and its famous shipyards train station is very well served.
Not far we have the lake of Massaciuccoli and what we call Torre del Lago Puccini where is the house of the famous musician. In summer opera lovers should not miss the Puccini Festival.

For Italians, the main month for the summer holiday is August.
I really like our Christmas and Easter holidays, the period of the famous Viareggio Carnival with its allegorical wagons, easily reachable from home, and seasons like spring and autumn.
especially the spring and autumn months, our Christmas and Easter holidays, the Carnival lovers have at their disposal the famous Carnival of Viareggio with its allegorical floats.
For connections to be made a distinction between summer and winter, the country is well served by public transport in summer while in winter there is less traffic and services are concentrated in the most useful times. The positive thing is that the country is inhabited and well lived even in winter but without the confusion of the summer.
In summer there are buses from Milan and Florence, in winter I would recommend the train. The Viareggio station is well connected.
Personally I prefer the Lido di Camaiore during the Christmas period during the carnival period and especially in spring and autumn.
For those who come from afar, the week of August 15th is a week of holidays for many Italians.
