Very nice house in a good location!

The house was great, the pool and everything provided in the house made it easy to enjoy our vacation. Very good location just a few minutes drive from the old Lucca. Nice and helpful hosts! We really recommend this and would love to come back!

Tuscany trip

Remote spacious house. Good base for travelling to nearby towns by car. We missed air con and the pool is small. Owners are friendly but give you space.

Such a pitty that you didn't like the place and would have preferred knowing it during your stay. You learned beforehand that there was no airco, because it is clearly written on the website page so as the dimension of the pool. I'm really sorry you chose the wrong place for your holiday. Wonderful!

What am amazing house in Tuscany! Grietje and Michael are very welcoming and the house is beautiful, is perfectly located and has everything you could possibly need. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We'd love to come back and visit again.

Lovely stay with great hosts

We had a lovely time staying in this apartment. There was plenty of space and although there wasn’t aircon there were fans and it was fairly cool inside the nice old building. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay and although the pool isn’t huge it was still great fun and very welcome to cool down in and we had it to ourselves. The hosts are lovely and nothing was too much trouble, they even made a birthday tiramisu for my daughter! Thanks again for a lovely stay we will definitely recommend!

Best holiday ever!

We were lucky enough to spend 3 weeks here and had an amazing time. As soon as we arrived Greitje and her family went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. The house is gorgeous and anything you might need for your stay has been thought of, the kitchen has every utensil you can think of and lacks nothing! The pool is great and a big hit with all of the family and the location of the house is lovely, very tranquil but close to amenities including a grocery store, pizzeria and butchers. I would also like to say Greitje was a brilliant host and when we had a medical emergency with my youngest son she came with me to the hospital and helped me whilst we had to check him in something which made the experience a little bit less stressful. Highly recommend this place and would love to visit again we are going to miss it very much!

Lovely family villa

This was a lovely family villa in a beautiful area of Italy. Amazing facilities and provisions, super clean, very roomy. A lovely garden for the day and a beautiful courtyard at the back to welcome the sun at breakfast. Gretje was very welcoming and helpful at all times - and the kids loved beautiful Grace the dog and the neighbours kittens! The children also loved the pool - and the town of Lucca is definitely one of our favourite places now in Italy! Only couple of things to watch out for - lots of mosquitos at night at this time of year (and it was very hot!); plus the local village had shut shop for their holidays - a bit of a shame as there would have been lots of lovely places to go to in walking distance otherwise. But we found a little gem locally called Il Circulino, with a lovely little bar and amazing home cooked food - new specials every night and very inexpensive. They even wrote the menu out for us in English!

Uncaring Host

We had to cancel at late notice for a serious (life-threatening) medical condition for which we offered the host medical evidence. This was never taken up. We spoke to Vrbo prior to speaking to the host. The host tracked me down through WhatsApp and communicated directly. She was hostile and kept arguing that we had done her harm. She was most unsympathetic. We had planned our honeymoon directly after the wedding. This was to be our honeymoon. The host has since said she is seeking “maximum compensation”. I cannot believe she is seeking to make additional profit out of a medical situation beyond our control. What a heartless individual.

I'm really sorry about the complete misunderstanding. Of course you were extremely anxious about your partner's medical condition and everything that was going on. I understand that this was the only thing that mattered to you in that moment. For my part, I can say that I have NEVER received the official cancellation from you and that therefore I could not re-rent the house and have the possibility to refund you. Despite the evidence of your partner's medical condition, you said you hoped until the last moment to be able to come even on your own (!) on vacation. It occurred to you to contact VRBO to request money, but not to warn me that your plans had forcibly changed. It is obvious that your behavior has harmed me. And no, I did not seek additional profit at all. You did not pay half of the booked stay and therefore I did not receive the corresponding money. For me it was still a loss. Anyway, I hope that you are all in good health now and that this unpleasant episode has not affected you further As you can see in all the previous feedbacks, I'm the opposite of "non caring" or "heartless".

Heel leuk woning, vele honderden jaren oud maar gerenoveerd met veel zorg en met behouden van karakteristieke decor. Tuin was groot en ook heel goed verzorgd. Parkeren kon voor het huis. Eigenaar Grietje woont daarnaast maar kwam (na incheck) alleen als wij haar hulp riep. Ook het zwembad was alleen voor ons.Enige minpunt waren de muggen. Was echt een plaag en blijkbaar vonden ze zelfs Autan muggenspray lekker! Wij zitten onder honderden jeukende bulten. Wij gaan zeker een keer terug, alleen niet in september.

Très bon séjour

Très belle propriété, avec beau jardin privatif, belle piscine privative. Maison de caractère sombre mais fraiche en été.2 des 3 chambres n'ont ni porte ni fenêtre, juste un rideau ou paravent, ce qui fait qu'on entend les conversations du séjour. Nous aurions aimé un peu plus de contacts avec les propriétaires.

Geweldig verblijf gehad

Vanaf het begin snelle en duidelijke communicatie met verhuurder gehad.Grietje rn Marco houden zich op de achtergrond maar zijn bij vragen altijd beschikbaar. Bedankt voor de restaurant suggesties, was heerlijk!Wij hebben genoten van de grote tuin en het zwembad, beiden worden erg goed onderhouden. Bedden zijn goed, voor alle ramen zitten muggenhorren en de keuken heeft alles wat nodig is. Konden gebruik maken van de onlangs geïnstalleerde airconditioning, dit is zeker een pluspunt. Enige minpuntje is, dat de slaapkamer beneden alleen door een kastenwand gescheiden wordt, hierdoor beneden weinig privacy. Wij hebben genoten en een geweldige vakantie gehad!

Prima huis

Huis was oud maar goed onderhouden, een nadeel was dat wij beneden sliepen in een niet afgesloten slaapkamer met weinig opbergruimte. En onze oudste dochter ook geen afgesloten slaapkamer had. Maar verder was alles prima, Grietje en haar man zijn prima gastvrouw en -heer en we mochten de fietsen lenen voor de hele week (plus ze hadden nog een extra fiets geregeld, we waren met 5). Ze zijn heel aardig en behulpzaam en de tuin was heerlijk. Huis was ruim genoeg en vlakbij Lucca, dus we konden er met de fiets heen.

Ein wunderbarer Urlaub!

Meine Kinder und ich haben vom 08.07-21.07 hier Urlaub gemacht. Abgesehen davon, dass wir zwei Wochen lang strahlenden Sonnenschein hatten, war die Ferienunterkunft ein toller Ort zum Entspannen. Der eigene Pool und Garten waren ein toller Ort um sich abzukühlen und sich auszuruhen. Küche und Bäder waren gut ausgestattet, Waschmaschine hat gut gewaschen. Die einzigen Sachen, die wir zu bemängeln haben sind, dass das Internet in allen Räumen bis auf das Wohnzimmer, sehr stockend bis gar nicht funktionierte. Außerdem gab es dort wenige Wege, um zu spazieren. Man konnte an den Straßen vorbeigehen, aber es gab keine Bürgersteige, und die Autos sind häufig sehr schnell und eng aufgefahren, aber bis nach Lucca waren es bloß 5 Minuten Autofahrt, bis nach Pisa 40 und bis zum Strand ca. 45 Min. Eine Sache haben wir noch vermisst, und das ist der Whirlpool. Ansonsten waren wir rundum zufrieden und die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich uns stets zuvorkommend. Meine Kinder und ich können diesen Ort sehr weiterempfehlen.

Prachtig en compleet huis

Wij hebben hier ruim twee heerlijke weken gehad. Het huis is erg ruim, mooi en authentiek. Alles was aanwezig: van afwasmiddel tot vuilniszakken of aluminiumfolie. De grote en mooie tuin was erg goed onderhouden en ook achter de keuken hadden we nog een klein privé tuintje. Het was een kwartiertje fietsen naar het centrum van Lucca en supermarkten waren dichtbij. Het enige nadeel vonden we de trein die met grote regelmaat van heel dichtbij het huis langs kwam. Maar door ‘s nachts de ramen te sluiten of oordoppen in te doen, konden we toch goed slapen. Verder hebben we genoten van het mooie verblijf en omgeving!!!

Rundum schön

Super mooi appartement met prachtige tuin!

Echte aanrader dit appartement met een prachtige tuin en zwembad van 3 bij 8 meter. Het appartement was van alle gemakken voorzien en erg schoon. De gastvrouw is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en woont ernaast maar laat je je eigen gang gaan. Als je hulp nodig hebt dan is ze er. Ook de hond en 2 katten zijn erg vriendelijk:) De stad Lucca ligt op 10 minuten rijden en is gemakkelijk te bereiken met de auto. Mooie stad! Pisa en Florence zijn ook mooi, maar Lucca had toch wel iets speciaals. Verder is het strand in Viareggio ook erg mooi en heerlijk. Al met al hebben wij een super vakantie gehad!

Sublime!

Nous confirmons toutes les remarques positives émanant des clients précédents. La maison est parfaitement équipée et fraîche malgré la canicule. Le jardin est bien entretenu, en particulier la piscine qui est revue quotidiennement par son propriétaire, Marco. Nous tenons à remercier particulièrement Grietje pour ses excellents conseils qui nous ont permis de découvrir quelques pépites de la région. Point positif : elle est polyglotte ce qui facilite la communication. Encore merci pour tout. Je recommande vivement cet habitation.

Een oase van rust voor de ultieme vakantie

Na bijna drie jaar niet op vakantie geweest te zijn en een zeer drukke en heftige periode door familie omstandigheden waren wij toe aan vakantie en vooral rust. Wij hadden het niet beter kunnen treffen dan op deze locatie. Vanaf de boeking hebben wij zeer goed contact gehad met Grietje, alle vragen werden compleet en snel beantwoord. De ontvangst bij aankomst was zeer hartelijk en wij voelden ons gelijk welkom. Het huis is erg schoon (het schoonste huis wat wij ooit hebben gehuurd), zeer ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Daarnaast is het zeer mooi in de oude stijl opgeknapt. De tuin is werkelijk een oase met een eetgelegenheid onder een zonnedak, palmbomen en heerlijke ligbedden en een BBQ. Wij hebben ons erg welkom en thuis gevoel bij Grietje en haar man en hebben ons nooit gasten gevoeld. Ook hebben wij genoten van Grace, de ghond die graag bij mensen is!! De locatie is perfect voor uitstapjes naar het strand, Lucca, Pisa en wandeltochten in de omgeving. Grietje en haar man staan altijd klaar voor je, van het reserveren van een restaurant tot hulp bij de communicatie met de garage waar mijn auto heen moest. Wij hebben 3 fantastische weken gehad waarbij en kunnen iedereen aanbevelen deze plaats een keer te bezoeken!

Excellent séjour dans une charmante maison Toscane

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Grietje et sa famille, la maison du 17 ème siècle possède un charme authentique avec cependant tout le confort nécessaire. Rien ne manque. Grietje et son mari sont aux petits soins pour leurs hôtes et charmants. La piscine permet à toute la famille de se ressourcer après les chaudes journées de visites de cette superbe région. La localisation de la maison permet de découvrir tous les sites les plus importants de Toscane. Nous conseillons cette location à ceux qui souhaitent découvrir la Toscane en dehors des hôtels formatés.

Wunderbar entspannte Ferien

Wir haben unsere 12 Tage in diesem schönen Haus sehr genossen. Nach unseren vielen Ausflügen (Pisa, Florenz, Viareggio, Livorno, Carrara, Grotta del Vento und natürlich Lucca - alles ist bequem zu erreichen ) haben wir uns immer gefreut, den Tag im wunderschönen Garten ausklingen zu lassen. Grace, eine zuckersüße Berner Sennen Dame hat uns dann immer besucht und auch die Nachbarskatzen ließen sich gerne streicheln. Der Pool hat für die nötige Erfrischung gesorgt und der große Tisch mit Stühlen für die Bequemlichkeit. Allerdings ist es richtig, daß nur das obere Doppel-Schlafzimmer mit einer Tür abgeschlossen werden kann und man abends ab und zu mal die Bahn hört, beides hat uns allerdings nicht gestört. Die Vermieter sind super nett und haben uns mit Pfirsichen, Pizza und guten Tipps versorgt - Mille grazie !

Schönes altes Haus mit tollem Garten

Schön renoviertes altes Reihenhaus. Grietje wohnt nebenan und ist unaufdringlich aber sehr hilfsbereit. Gut ausgestatte Küche, gute Betten. 5 Minuten mit dem Auto nach Lucca. Eine Bahnlinie ist Nachts zu hören, hat uns aber nicht gestört.

Fijne vakantiewoning met privacy

Een hele fijne vakantiewoning. Grietje en Marco respecteren de privacy van hun gasten en zijn heel attent. Ook de huisdieren, hond Grace en de katten waren ontzettend gezellig! De stad Lucca binnen handbereik en je kan gebruik maken van de fietsen. We hebben er een fijne start van onze vakantie gehad!
