About this property

Waterfront retreat with panoramic sea views

Our house is a cozy, tranquil, getaway with a picturesque view of Saratoga passage and Mount Baker. Your blood pressure will soon drop as you sit on the deck, listen to the waves and the sea birds, while taking in the water view! We also frequently see deer in the yard. Our place is very quiet with a Northwest woodsy feel.

It is centrally located on Whidbey, providing an ideal base to explore all the island's activities and attractions. Whidbey is a big island with much to offer. Explore Deception Pass, Fort Casey, shop & dine in the quaint towns of Coupeville, Langley, visit the galleries, the farms, parks and numerous beaches all within minutes. Come back to your retreat and relax in comfort with nature. If you don't feel like getting in the car, the beach below is a five minute walk down the road. You can launch a kayak, paddleboard, or walk miles on this quiet beach. Or just stay inside, take in the view and watch premium channel TV on the 42' flat screen TV.

It has begun as a vacation rental in August 2014. We have replaced old beds with a king bed in the master and a queen bed in the second bedroom.

Anniversary Getaway

We love Whidbey Island and selected it to celebrate our anniversary. The property was perfect. Lots of privacy and fantastic views. We spent lots of time on the deck. Would visit again!

View is a WOW

The house is very comfortable with a wonderful view of Mt Baker. The appliances were all in working order with a great kitchen. We stayed for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The only negative is that there is a Navy field close by where they practiced take-offs and landings several hours each day. It was hard to tune out the noise.

Perfect location for our get away!

This is a beautiful home with great views. It was perfect for our 4 day get away. Fresh air and lots of walks in local parks made for good nights' sleep in a comfortable bed. If you have trouble backing your vehicle, this is not the place for you. There is no turn around at the end of a long driveway. A book of general information about the place (i.e: how do you work both remotes for the TV) and area would have been nice but we managed.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is central and very convenient to Coupeville while also being very quiet and private. The home was nicely decorated and clean, and the kitchen was spacious, beautiful, and well-stocked. We also liked that you can enjoy the sweeping views while cooking. Short, peaceful walk to beach access. Recommend!

Lovely house on the water with great views. We enjoyed sitting out every evening on the deck. watching the sun go down. Great location too I appreciated that there was laundry detergent and that it was free of perfumes. We will definitely come back.

Amazing Views, Very Comfortable, and Excellent Communication with Owners

We loved this home with beautiful views, and that it was dog friendly too. Perfect for 3 adults with pets. The owners went out of their way to recommend places to visit and helped return some items that were left behind. We wished we could have stayed longer because we felt so at home with everything we needed for our stay. We highly recommend this place for your next visit to Whidbey Island. Thank You!

The Sounds of Freedom

The house provides a fantastic view of Saratoga Passage and is conveniently located to the local town. However, nothing prepared me for the fighter jet training exercises late into the night. While my husband is ex-military and enjoyed the experience, I was literally rattled by the sound! As for the home, at first glance it appeared well maintained, but it needs a “deep clean” with an upgrade of pots, pans and glass ware.

Perfect weekend getaway

This property was so comfy and cozy, perfect for a winter weekend getaway. Communication and check-in was easy, the cottage was spacious and had everything we needed. The couch cover and extra water bowl for the dogs made them feel welcome as well. The location is idyllic, but the conveniences of Coupeville are nearby if you need anything. Also, our first night I didn’t plan well and we ended up easily being able to DoorDash from Oak Harbor, which was a bonus. Beach access is just a short walk down the road, and we enjoyed peeking at the animals on the craft farm on the way. The two eagles hanging out in the tree immediately off the deck were the icing on the cake! Am already making plans to come back in the summer!

This was our final destination in a 3-leg vacation to the PNW. The owner communication, while short, was prompt and responsive. The house was very clean and this rental had the best linens of any VRBO I've stayed in hands down (and I've stayed in about 20 over the last 5 years). Kitchen equipment was clean and the kitchen itself was large for the size of the house, which is excellent for preparing meals. The patio was lovely and the view made it a great place for dining.The setting was absolutely lovely and quiet/peaceful and the location was extremely convenient. Coupeville was our favorite town on the island. My only very small critique is that there is very small signage out front, so if you are unfamiliar with the area, you have to be very careful to follow host instructions to find the place to a tee. Our GPS had a hard time keying in on the exact location. It could be that the local authorities don't allow large signage, but the address numbers could use better illumination or contrast on the sign. It wasn't impossible, however. Just follow written instructions.This was an excellent place to stay and I would highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

Good - But Pricey

This is a nice house but priced too high for what it is. There is no parking. It is just a single one way path to the house so get familiar with backing down a single path to the house. It is a nice view and a good spot, but not near the water. And while the house is good, it shouldn't be priced at over 200 a night.
