Stunning Sonoma Private Retreat

Stylish mid-century modern located in the heart of wine country in the exclusive Sobre Vista neighborhood. Our property is close to the town of Glen Ellen and five miles to Sonoma Square. The house sits on 2+ acres of mature landscape with towering oaks and lots of greenery. The house itself is 5 bedrooms (4 that are en-suite and the 5th with a bathroom across the hall) with an additional room that sleeps 2. One bedroom is off the master, but has a private entrance from the garden deck. Additionally, the house has multiple skylights, walls of windows, 2 stone fireplaces, living room, formal dining room, large family room, eat-in-kitchen and 5.5 bathrooms. The outdoor area is surrounded by gardens with ample outdoor seating and dining options. We have a solar heated pool (May through October) and a hot tub (year round) for those of all ages to relax in. Enjoy after dinner drinks or indulge in s'mores by the fire pit. The property offers areas for both quiet retreat and social time and is great for friends and family reunions and corporate retreats. We have horses happily grazing in our coral and living in our barn, and are well taken care of by their owners. There are fruit trees to be enjoyed around the property - delicious apples, peaches and more, when in season. And just minutes from the house are numerous wineries and restaurants if you want a break from relaxing by the solar heated pool or our large hot tub.
** Please note that Sonoma County vacation rental laws strictly enforce quiet hours that begin at 10 PM and end at 7 AM daily. Please be respectful of this law so that we do not lose our vacation rental license. There is also a maximum parking of 4 cars allowed on the property.

Perfect for a group

Stayed with a group of 10 for a girl’s trip and the property was great. Very spacious with lots of bedrooms and almost every room has its own private bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen and beautiful outdoor space. Highly recommend and will absolutely stay here again.

Thinking about our stay here my general feeling is very pleasant. The house is spacious and nicely laid out so even with nine people it never seemed crowded. The setting is peaceful and relaxing. The kitchen seemed well stocked, though there was no cookie sheet! I gave a 4 star rating only because of some minor maintenance and upkeep issues.

Incredible weekend getaway

We had a wonderful stay with our family in your home. My daughter’s wedding was just up the street and we could not be happier with our choice of location to share this weekend with our family. The home was roomy and very well supplied. Everyone had their own space and room to roam, while the common areas were open and inviting for us to share our time within. Perfect property for a large group!

We had 9 adults and 2 toddlers, so we needed a lot of space — and the house did not disappoint. Huge living/dining/kitchen spaces; lots of outdoor seating options; and 5 bedrooms + a “bonus” bedroom. The pool and hot tub were such fun amenities. The owners were really responsive and helpful. We loved our time here!

Great house for Entertaining

This house was perfect for our friend group of 5 couples - everyone had a bed and bath. Just enough space to be together, yet have some privacy. The location worked well for us since we visited vineyards and did a day trip to San Francisco. The house was well stocked. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and pool, too.

The property was roomy and would easily accommodate more than the 8 people in our party. The large kitchen was a great gathering place and our private chef had plenty of elbow room. Relaxing and fun Sonoma Getaway!

This home was perfect for my sister’s bachelorette party—spacious, beautiful, and great for both fun and relaxation. Everyone had their own bed with clean linens and towels, and there was plenty of space for meals and game nights. The location was super convenient, close to Sonoma Square with easy access to ride shares and a pre-arranged van shuttle. The house had great amenities, including a pool, jacuzzi, and games.A few minor issues—WiFi was spotty in some rooms, the sink drained slowly, and the dishwasher needed multiple runs—but overall, it was an amazing stay, and we’d definitely come back!

40th Birthday with friends

We booked this house for my 40th birthday. We had 5 couples and a single person and everyone had their own bed and bathroom. The kitchen had everything you needed. The pool and hot tub was amazing! We all couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the house was! Highly recommend getting tacos, chips and guacamole at the little Rancho market nearby and eating them by the pool one night! We all would absolutely book this house again!

We all remarked what a lovely home this was. For the guests who needed more time alone to recoup the bedrooms are spaced out to provide that. For the guests that preferred to party and play the pool and outdoor space was wonderful. The owners responded between 1-24 hours for each question and on the day that our family gathered for a meal they came over and set up speakers for our event. Thank you for this stay

Perfect home for relaxing and enjoying your people in wine country

Great home with loads of amenities for our adult family. Really loved the sprawling ranch with lots of space to spread out, yet plenty of areas for us to gather and enjoy one another. The common areas were cozy, and gave us the opportunity to connect, eat together, play games, and lounge, while the outdoor spaces were fun too. Pickleball on the drive was a family favorite, as was the hot tub. Kitchen was well appointed for cooking and we shared an awesome Thanksgiving meal. Just the right distance between Sonoma and Glen Ellen so we didn’t feel the need to always be in town, and could decompress a bit at home. Thanks for sharing this wonderful home!

OMG I cannot say enough good things about this house. Absolutely amazing property. Stunningly beautiful inside and out. One of the most relaxing, fun vacations I’ve ever been on. Our girls group stayed in this lovely home and enjoyed the surrounding activities of e-biking the vineyards & wine tasting, riding scooters through the vineyards, & wine tasting, Going on a hot air balloon ride….Every evening we thoroughly enjoyed laying around that amazing pool. This property is just absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back. Beautifully decorated inside and out. So relaxing and enjoyable. LOVED EVERY MINUTE!!

Wine Country Wedding

We are so appreciative for everything Anne and Paul did to make our stay priceless as our son married his forever partner as the two families spent the event together joining as one big family! Thank you! The home and grounds were perfect for the ten of us; and the bride and groom couldn’t have been happier! Paul and Anne were immediately responsive to our needs when we had a couple of blow dryers that didn’t work and needed replacing for the big event. Otherwise, the home was well-supplied, clean, and beautiful. We highly recommend this lovely stay!

The landscaping must have been stunning in its day but it’s a bit overgrown. The road is very busy so walking from the house wasn’t a good option. Spacious , inside and out! Even with constant rain, we loved looking outside from the roaring fireplace, entertaining family with 2 catered meals, soaking in the hot tub, and privacy for quiet reading in the MANY beautiful spaces in this house! Privacy abounds even with 8 people. Well equipped - dinner for 16 with plenty of dishes, glasses and serving pieces. Flexible placement of furniture for formal meals or casual buffet. Couldn’t have been more pleased! The house could use a fine tuning (light bulbs burned out, ovens running cool and need adjusting) but truly we were all so pleased! The grounds are lush but with the constant rain we didn’t get outside much. Looks like lots of toys and games for better weather. We’d come back (after the rains) again. Hostess/owner very communicative and responsive.

Perfect Property for a Big Family!

My family and I travel to the Napa/Sonoma area each year for Thanksgiving week. We have a large group with multiple small families. This property could not have been more perfect for our annual trip! The number of bedrooms and bathrooms was ideal. The amount of space and common areas left ample room for our group to gather for meals, but also have space to spread out. The outdoor areas also had plenty of seating areas & parking. Since we visited in late November, we didn’t use the pool or hot tub but have already discussed coming back in the summer to get full use of the amenities. Even though the property is not directly in downtown Sonoma, its location was close enough to access wineries and activities in Sonoma as well as locations north of the valley. Great experience!!

A Peaceful, Stunning Retreat Minutes From All Sonoma Has To Offer

It is hard for photos to do this stunning property justice! Just minutes from incredible wineries and Sonoma Plaza, this property offers guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy peaceful wine country luxury while remaining close enough to all of the Sonoma highlights for exploring. The house comfortably sleeps larger groups of friends and its thoughtful amenities, fully stocked kitchen, and breathtaking yard and living + dining spaces make for an incredibly welcoming setting to gather and enjoy time together. The VRBO owners are very communicative and informative. This property is an absolute gem and my friends and I are so grateful for the opportunity to stay!

Beautiful Retreat in Sonoma

This property was more beautiful than we could have imagined! Everything was spacious and well designed for outdoor or indoor living. My o my regret was not being able to spend more time at the property as it was our daughter’s wedding weekend so we were away most of our time in Sonoma. But we all agreed that it was the perfect retreat!

This part of Sonoma is rural yet close by many activities including wineries, sonoma square and other fun stuff. We purchased this property due to its great location and potential to be a great destination for families and adult get-aways.

What makes this property unique

The spaciousness of this property offers the perfect atmosphere for family reunions, out-of-town retreats and corporate off-sites. There are three main social areas (living, dining and family rooms) inside the house and lots of spacious grounds outside. It has a very rural feel, but we are just minutes to restaurants and grocery stores.
