Superb and unique location, directly in front on the sea and private beach (seconds by foot) in the small and exclusive Residence of Portofaro (“Light house harbour”) at just 5 minutes walk to Palau. Elegant and spacious, furnished in colonial style, it enjoys a breathtaking view of La Maddalena archipel. With 3 double rooms for 6 guests, a dining-living room with kitchen, 2 bathrooms, wifi, dishwasher and washing machine.
Portofaro is set directly on the sea, on one of the most amazing spots of the Sardinian coast, in the heart of La Maddalena archipel marine park. The only “noise” you shall get used to will be the sound of waves: come and enjoy the uncommon pleasure of really living by the sea.
The apartment is composed on the first floor by one large dining and sitting room, with open kitchen; two double rooms and one bathroom. There is a second floor with two rooms, one with a double bed and the other with a single bed plus a second bathroom. The upper floor rooms are not separated by a door.
There are two private beaches just in front of you that can be reached in seconds. Plus, you will have the choice between many different other coves, all reachable by foot within a short walk. The house is near a pine wood and it offers a private mooring service that can host any kind of boat (price upon request).

Sehr empfehlenswert

Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett. Vor Ort wird man von einer anderen Dame empfangen, die ebenfalls sehr nett ist. Die Wohnung liegt sehr ruhig (private Sackgasse), ist (tatsächlich) direkt am Meer und die Größe und die Einrichtung (Herd, Backofen, Kühlschrank, Gefrierfach, Geschirrspüler, 2 Ventilatoren, ausreichend Geschirr, ...) ist sehr gut passend. Es haben alle Geräte bestens funktioniert und freie Parkplätze haben wir in ca. 20-100m Entfernung immer gefunden. Wie in der Beschreibung angegeben, muss zusätzlich zur Grundmiete eine Kaution hinterlegt werden, 60 Euro für die Endreinigung, pro Bettüberzug 17 Euro und die Ortstaxe bezahlt werden. das sind dann tatsächlich alle Kosten. Für die Größe und die Lage der Wohnung haben wir das als fari empfunden. Der Strand direkt vor der Wohnung hat herrliches Wasser und ist nicht überlaufen. In ca. 10-12 Minuten gelangt man zu Fuß am Meer entlang in den Ortskern von Palau. Die 2-stöckige Wohnung ist eine absolute Empfehlung.

Wohnung und Lag sehr schön, Vermietung nicht korrekt, unfreundlich.

Die Wohnung und die Lage sind sehr schön. Leider ist es so, dass die Geräte nicht brauchbar sind. Die Hauptsicherung, ausserhalb des Hauses in einer Seitengasse, muss beim benutzen des Geschirrspülers oder des Backofens andauernd (ca. 1x pro Minute) wieder angeschaltet werden. Die Waschmaschine haben wir schon gar nicht erst ausprobiert. Kurz: die Geräte sind unbrauchbar. Die Vermietung interessiert das Problem leider nicht. Sie ist eher darauf bedacht, bei späterem in- oder auschecken mit einer Busse zu drohen. Da wir bereits vor dem einchecken den ganzen Betrag bezahlt hatten, gab es kein Geld zurück. Ach ja, zwei Stunden vor Ankunft hat uns die Vermietung über sms informiert, dass ein Pfand bezahlt werden muss, und eben bei zu spätem einchecken eine Busse.. Schade, die Wohnung wäre schön. Noch was: es gibt ein Doppelbett, die beiden anderen Schlafzimmer sind nur mit einem Sofa zum ausziehen ausgestattet.

perfect appartment for a calm holiday

The appartment is on a perfect location, with view on the little lighthouse, empty beaches everywhere nearby. Don't expect crowded places, and lots of amusement, tourism in the month of may seems to be still unknown here. But there is a lot of nature, landscape, environment to enjoy. The house has sleeping accomodation for 6 persons with 2 bathrooms. With just 4 people it suited perfectly. You will need a car for sustenance shopping.

Enjoy your private beachfront in the very heart of the marine park of La Maddalena, with this stylish and comfortable 1000 sq. feet apartment just 30 feet from the beach and the sea, among some of the clearest waters spots in Sardinia.

For six people: three double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a dining room with fully equipped kitchen in sight. Two floors, two bathrooms, two separate parts of the house - ideal for groups of friends or families. First floor: large living room with sea view, kitchen, one bedroom with double bed, one bedroom with sofa - bed (160 cm ) and a bathroom. From the lounge, stairs lead to the first floor: an open space composed of two bedrooms, one with a single bed and the other one with a double sofa bed, plus a second bathroom. Each floor has its own entrance from the living room and kitchen. Fresh and inviting, the house is equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay.

Portofaro Residence is among some of the most exclusive real estate properties in North Sardinia, providing its hosts with a secured and quiet environment, a coffee-bar, a pasta-bar, and a private mooring (prices upon request). Forget the car and enjoy the pleasure of “parking” your boat just under your house.

Many different restaurants are located nearby, such as La Gritta, as well as local farms which offer menus from the tradition of the countryside: the tasty local food and wine (pork, fish, local breads, wine...) shall not be missed!

The small town of Palau is only 10 minutes by foot through a relaxing pine-wood/pedestrian walk.

Palau is in the centre of Gallura region in the north of Sardinia. Gallura has an original landscape with big rocks shaped by the wind in magic figures, and a Mediterranean bush.
The town is only 10 min by car to Isola dei gabbiani (surfers' paradise); 25 min to Porto Cervo-Costa Smeralda; 20 min to Santa Teresa di Gallura; 35 min to Olbia-Golfo Aranci.
