This is a large family house in a 5-hectare fenced estate, which includes a 1-hectare garden. It is a 5-minute walk from a sandy beach and a river runs behind it. It is ideal for two families. There is a secure swimming area 70 m from the house, which cannot be seen from the house. It is perfect for peace and quiet. There is immediate access to a bike trail. Though the map shows otherwise, the house is located between the river and the sea, not on the other side of the river. The house is 15 minutes from a surfing spot, and 10 minutes from the 18-hole golf course in Fontenelles and the rose gardens of Coex. There are ferries to Ile d'Yeu.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming family house full of character. Nestled in a beautiful park at the foot of the dunes, along the Jaunay and close to the sea, it offers a unique setting of peace and calm, with birds all around. The location is ideal: near the cycle path and just a short bike ride from Saint-Gilles.The house itself is a typical Vendée family holiday home, spacious, well-equipped, and perfect for relaxing with family or friends. The warm welcome and kindness of the owner made our stay even more enjoyable.We highly recommend this place!

We loved it!

I can’t say enough about this fabulous place. There were 13 in our family. Beautiful, peaceful setting with a picturesque walk to the beach. Beautiful rooms, dining and living rooms with gorgeous antiques. Don’t expect modern bathrooms. This is an OLD house, full of charming details and creaking hardwood floors, but we made it work. You can too. Marie is the perfect hostess. It’s so sweet that she opens her family home. I wish we’d stayed at least a week! We can’t wait to come back!

Beau week-end en famille

Bon accueil dans une grande maison de famille où nous avons passé trois jours à l'occasion d'un anniversaire. Le lieu est très calme, avec une petite forêt où nous avions organisé un jeu de piste. Les enfants étaient ravis L'après-midi petits et grands ont apprécié la plage à proximité et surtout les belles vagues . La journée se poursuit dans cour autour d'un barbecue ! La maison:Les chambres sont très spacieuses et les lits très larges.Chacun trouvera l'espace qui lui convient avec trois grandes pièces de vie.La ville est à proximité , accessible en vélo par la piste cyclable.Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour. Merci à Mme De Rodellec pour sa disponibilité.

Ideaal voor familievakanties

Over dit ruim rustig domein waar we een week met onze familie van 12 personen verbleven zijn we helemaal vol lof. Voor lunch en avondmaal aten we steeds buiten. Binnen beschikten we over 2 salons en ook nog een grote eetplaats, alles zeer verzorgd. In de late namiddag speelden we petanque en badminton. De 4 kippen waren een plus, zelfs voor de volwassenen. Met deze locatie op wandelafstand van zee is voor elk wat wils. Het contact met de eigenaars was uitstekend.

Très heureux de notre choix

Venus en famille avec nos enfants et petits-enfants, nous avons tous beaucoup apprécié cette maison très agréable à vivre, spacieuse, propre, très bien équipée. Tout est prévu pour les enfants qui comme les adultes se sont vite sentis comme chez eux. Le parc est magnifique, l’endroit calme. Le chemin (sans voitures) à travers lande sauvage et dunes pour accéder à la plage nous a enchantés. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires que nous remercions de leur gentillesse et de leur souci de nous satisfaire. A.K.

Que dire... Apaisant, relaxant, accueillant... Vous y trouverez tous les plaisirs recherchés en famille, ou entre amis. Le cadre partagé par nos hôtes est très agréable. L'absence de la piscine est rapidement oublié par la proximité de la plage et des plaisirs qu'elle offre. Nous nous sommes ressourcés, enfants et adultes, et chacun aurait souhaité rester la semaine complète. Nous y reviendrons avec certitude. Profitez pleinement!

We enjoyed an excellent week at this house. It was very good in every aspect. We were very lucky also with the weather. The house is beautiful and well equipped. The garden is very large and also beautiful and the sea walking distance. My only criticisms are that at least one mattress and some of the pillows were not very good and that the oven may be a bit small for the number of people if much cooking should be required.

Das Haus und seine Lage s...

Das Haus und seine Lage sind wirklich ein Traum. Wir als Familie mit 6 Personen verbrachten zwei wirklich schöne Wochen in dem Anwesen. Das Haus entsprach unseren Vorstellungen von einem echten französischen Landhaus: die Einrichtung ist geschmackvoll und nicht aufdringlich und gepflegt. Das Haus ist nicht irgendein anonymes Ferienhaus, sondern ist umgeben von persönlichen Gegenständen, Fotos, Büchern, Zeitschriften, Spielen. Der große Park ist ideal zum Spazieren und Toben für die Kinder. Man ist für sich, es gibt keine Durchgangsstraße, lediglich die Zufahrt zum Haus. Wenn man das Tor verlässt, erreicht man in 5 Minuten Fußweg den Strand. Der Strand ist ideal für Kinder und wird bei Ebbe riesengroß, wobei sich kleine Seen bilden. Unsere Kinder haben Seesterne, Muscheln, Krebse gesammelt. Außerdem ist der Strand sehr wenig bevölkert. Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind sehr gut. Wir waren auch Mittwochs und Samstags immer auf dem Markt in Saint-Gilles und haben die frischen Austern und Muscheln, aber auch das Brot und das Obst und Gemüse sehr genossen. Die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich und angenehm. Man kann sagen, das dieses Stück Frankreich uns sehr ans Herz gewachsen ist, und es ist nicht wenig diesem Haus und Garten zu verdanken.

"Alles war super. Kann man nur empfehlen. Großes, sauberes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus, mit ner Menge Platz und mit allem was man braucht. Das Anwesen ist bestens geeignet um in Ruhe zu entspannen und schön für Kinder zum spielen. Strand ist echt fast vor der Haustür, zu Fuß ca. 5 Minuten. Wir waren Surfen (kein Windsurfen sondern Wellenreiten), die Bedingungen waren nahezu jeden Tag gut bis sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder."
