Mountain views

Beautiful views. Watched sunset and night sky full of stars from the back deck or with a glass of wine in the hot tub. The quiet and relaxation was just what we needed. The walk to the stream was too strenuous for my husband to do. Thought it would be easier access to the river.

This property is incredible, the mountain views plus the river access makes this place feel like a resort. Here are some tips:-If you're adults escaping a toddler and trying to sleep in, bring a sleeping mask, the morning sun is bright!-At the river there are trails, if you go to the right (facing the river) there is a rocky area that is great for stepping into to cool off, no river mud (thinks Nina for tip!)-this place is amazing for fishing especially with kids, we caught countless fat sunnies and chased a huge muskie all weekend that we failed to catchThe location is great and if it had been a bit cooler we would've ventured into Shenandoah,, instead we enjoyed some air conditioned flea markets during the day and the views/fishing at night. Perfection.

Exceptional Views

Our second stay and just as fantastic as the first. The fireplace in winter just adds to the ambiance of this fantastic property. The dogs love the property as well as all of the wildlife that passes through. Despite the severe windstorm, the house remained cozy for all of us. Will definitely be back.

5 Stars - Incredible Stay with Stunning Views!

I recently stayed at this cabin over the weekend, and it was an unforgettable experience. The views were absolutely breathtaking — whether it was sunrise over the mountains or relaxing in the evening with a stunning sunset, the scenery was incredible from every angle.The cabin itself was just as impressive. It was beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and had all the comforts of home. From cozy furniture to thoughtful amenities, everything was perfect. The peaceful surroundings made it the ideal getaway for relaxation and recharging.I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a serene retreat with amazing views. I can’t wait to visit again!

Our favorite place

This is our 6th time staying at star view, its been a part of our family since 2015. We absolutely love the breathtaking views, the large property to explore, the cozy cabin, and proximity to Skyline Drive, Luray and other places to explore. This trip was our best! This place holds a special place in our hearts!

Great property.

The location is perfect, the only criticism we'd have if that the appliances need updated. The kitchen was thin. But the place was very nice, very nice owner and beautiful views. I could definitely see my wife and I going back.

What a view!

We experienced the beauty of a mountain snowstorm and it was awesome! We enjoyed the gorgeous view sitting by the fireplace and feeling super cozy. Nina the owner was so thoughtful, checking on us, suggesting a good place for our car during the storm so that we wouldn’t get stuck when it came time to go home, even cleaning our car off for us! That was above and beyond—thank you, Nina. The cabin is as pictured and well appointed. We plan to return here.

Beautiful and quiet

It’s nothing you can’t like; you have a beautiful cabin, a great view, tones of space to feel free to relax, a hot tub ready for you after hiking….and silence, which nowadays is very hard to get. We will definitely come back.

Starview Cabin

Beautiful views, great location, and nice home. Private and serene with great outdoor amenities. Host was very friendly. The river access was wonderful. Bathroom and kitchen were not as clean as I prefer, and I had to clean the sinks and shower floor before use.

Cute & Secluded Cabin with a view!

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend getaway! The cabin was clean with a beautiful view. The kitchen was stocked and allowed us to cook & grill both nights of our stay! Washer & dryer was a bonus and we were able to catch up on laundry. The hot tub was beyond perfect! We would return for a longer stay in the future!!!

Better than expected!

This place is incredible and my husband and I loved staying here for our weekend getaway. The views are stunning, with lots of open space and natural light. The hot tub was my favorite part! Check-in process was seamless, and the property was easy to find. It’s also close to the town of Luray, which was so fun to hang out in. We’re definitely coming back!

Rileyville Stay

Nice views, lots of wildlife, quiet, and peaceful. Easy check-in. We did have zero cell signal and could not send texts via wifi, so we had to wait until we went somewhere to communicate with host.

A wonderful property, the photos do not do it justice

We came for a meteor shower, to find a cloudy sky. But the cozy home, clean air, and quiet made up for it in spades.I was honestly surprised when we checked in, the photos provided made the home seem much older than it is. Instead, we found a house that looked almost like it'd never been lived in. It was clean and well-kept. The kitchen was fully stocked and everything we used worked well.My only real complaint was that previous renters did not clean the kitchenware as well as they should have. Plates, utensils and pots had food residue on them. But it meant whoever washed the dishes in our case got to look out the window, small wins right?My spouse already wants to return. So perhaps we'll stay here in the future if the timing is right.

Incredible view

The cabin is clean and well-equipped. It is obvious the owner is putting effort into improving it every year. This was the second year we stayed there and there was new furniture and a new patio around the hot tub. You can walk down a steep road to get to the river, but you can also drive down the steep part, park your car, and walk the rest of the way, which is flat. The view from inside the house is great because of the large windows and from the back deck, it is incredible. We hope to come back every year!

Great getaway

It was great time at the star view cabin. We got to see the stars the first night with clear sky’s which was amazing. Second day it was foggy and rainy but it was so peaceful. We did go explore around too just dress warm obviously. And the final day we got to see the mountains covered in snow which was awesome. The host Nina was easy to communicate with and prompt. I definitely will be back to come relax. Also I did drive my m3 here which wasn’t the best for the gravel driveway like I was scrapping getting there and leaving so just drive a suv if possible. I just wanted a fun car to drive there because the roads were amazing. But at the end of the day it was well worth it.

We feel so fortunate to enjoy such a beautiful place and have enjoyed guestst coming from all over the world, returning families, their friends, and now their children here on Cedar Point Farm. People enjoy fields, woods, all kinds of wildlife, and we even have astronomers come to enjoy the night sky. We are proud to share this beautiful spot with others who come to appreciate the beauty of the area. This cabin is wheelchair friendly for easy access to enjoy relaxing by the fire or to be outside enjoying a beautiful sunset. We hope you choose to experience the beauty of the Shenandoah River Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains with us on Cedar Point Farm.
