Perfect family villa in a quiet setting
We stayed at villa Julia mid-July and we had a great time. We were 4 adults and 5 children. Two bedrooms are located on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second floor. Since we were two families traveling it allowed us some privacy, especially since we each had our own bath rooms.
Dealing with Ana, the owner was always a pleasure and she responded to all my emails promptly, she was very accomodating. The villa was clean and we had all the amenities that we needed. We were pleasantly surprise that it lived up to the photos. It was more roomy and quaint than we expected. The villa is in a very peaceful residentual setting. Within walking distance there is a small mini market, restaurants and a local pub. Of course you can walk to Carvoeiro beach but it's a good 30 min walk. Downhill to the beach it's not so bad but on the way home in the summer it's more challenging, especially for the kids. There are lots of beautiful beaches all within 10-15 mins drive (car recommended if you want to explore the area). We enjoyed the pool which was deep enough for our bigger kids, plenty of sunbeds for everyone. We loved the area and Carvoeiro, and we had a great time in the villa. We would definitely go back.
