A perfect place to stay for us. Velta and her team her super accessible, friendly and helpful. The villa is well equipped for all the activities you can think off. Short 5-10min drive to either holetown or speighstown which have a wide range of shops and resturanats. The beach oppsite is simply wonderful with a number of bars and beach shacks. Great week in barbados, would recommend to all.
They say “Pictures are worth 1000 words” but the property pictures, don’t do this full service. It exceeded our expectations. The property location is awesome, right across the street from a popular yet not over crowded beach. The backyard is huge! The host Velta has thought of EVERYTHING, to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Nice small public beach literally right across the street with beach bars. Great weather. I don’t recommend driving unless you are experienced with Barbados roads and drivers.
We traveled to Barbados with 7 people and this house had all we needed and more! We really appreciated the beach chairs and beach towels provided. There was a lovely housekeeper that kept the place in tip top shape as well. The villa is right across the street from a lovely beach and a fun beach bar called thunder beach that we visited frequently. It was also across the street from Simone’s…a kind woman who runs a beach restaurant with the BEST rum punch and really great bajan food. We loved it and will definitely come back here!
We absolutely loved our stay at Graceville and we will definitely be recommending it to all our friends and family. The house has everything you need (and more!), and the location is perfect (right next to one of the best beaches in Barbados!).Thank you!!
The villa was very spacious with lots of amenities. My family of 3 couples had a great stay at the villa. The access to the beach is just across the road, it was also very convenient for the bus service.
The villa was a lot nicer than it looked in the photo's.
I would definitely recommend staying at this villa.
We loved staying at Graceville. The house is very spacious and comfortable, with every amenity you could wish for, plus a few more! The housekeeper, Alicia, attended the property three times during our 10-night stay, ensuring the house was always spotless and that we had fresh sheets and towels. It was also very nice to be contacted a couple of times by Velta, the owner, who phoned to make sure all was well. The location is great. It was fantastic to be able to cross the road straight onto a lovely beach, something we took advantage of, with morning and afternoon swims every day. Also, being on the main road meant travelling to any west coast location, via the very frequent yellow "reggae" buses, was very easy. I don't think we ever waited more than 10 minutes for a bus to either Holetown or Speightstown. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Graceville and very much hope to return there in the future.
Very nice house, beautifully furnished, but had a few minor problems (dishwasher, air conditioning in one of the bedrooms). Good location for the beach.
Too summarize. Pros. Beach and water are tops in our many caribbean stays. House was super clean, very well appointed, and caretakers very helpful. Many restaurants in the area to choose from. The cons are more prefences that we try to avoid in our stays, but not a reason to avoid a great vacation. Location is a busy area. You have to cross a street that during the day is quite active. If you're renting a car. Roads are narrow, and may be challenging for some drivers. Not much else to complain about, but overall we would go back. Also too note. Velta our host contact was great! Helping out, checking in and making sure things went as best as they can on an Island far from normal life in the US.
