We have always enjoyed our time at Foxden cabin. My animals really loved the yard and their time. The creek was so much fun. The creek was low and they lived it so much!! Thank you so much for allowing my animals to stay at your amazing home!!
We loved the Fox Den, it was beautiful and relaxing. The outdoor space far exceeded our expectations! Our kids caught so many fish and we shared a lot of laughs. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us it was a truly wonderful weekend.
Such a great find. We wanted to get away for a few days with our pups. We lounged around the property, played some games and dunked in the Dolores the whole weekend. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing cabin on the Dolores River. Close to town, but still far enough away you feel like you are in the wilderness. You can hear the river through the screen door at all hours of the day/ night. We greatly enjoyed our time here!
Was good for lots of hunters to stay here. A little expensive unless you have a lot of people to share. Great location to hunting grounds. Fishing home about 1 mile towards Dolores. Nice view on back porch overlooking the river. One recommendation for owner is to take down creepy dolls. There are a lot of them in every room.

We were glad to find accommodations for two couples for a four night stay in Delores to enjoy the fall colors. This cabin is located across the river with a big fenced yard and two large covered patios. On the one side you can see and hear the highway. Neighbors on the other side with barking dogs but the place still felt spacious and private enough. It is advertised as pet friendly but I was harassed by host after booking about the need to crate my dogs. Nothing in the listing states pets must be crated. Property is misrepresented on VRBO with regard to the beds. There is only 1 king bed (not 2) and 1 queen bed downstairs in separate rooms, bathroom is in the hall. Upstairs has 1 queen and 1 full bed in loft plus bathroom with a tub, no shower. There is no bedroom 3 with 5 twin beds. Cabin does not have enough beds to sleep 15. Kitchen was well stocked with an excess of glassware and cooking utensils, all of which needed a good washing before use. The rest of the cabin was clean and comfortable. Dish TV service appeared to be inactive. Garbage cans were all full and stinking up the pump house. Cleaning contact, Angelina was friendly and quick to respond.
Property inside and out was nice!
1. water stunk!!! the hole time ! outside of cooking or washing i would not drink it.
2. NEED WATER ACCESS !!!!! You are on the water! you could not get to it safely.
Great small town it will supply all your needs, grocery's , gas, restaurant's. access to many areas.I would rent again!!!

I wish the renter had called the owner and reported this
Water issue would have been addressed within 24 hours had owner known
As far as the water access all you needed to do was walk down the rocks, they are there to stop flooding and provide safety
Beautiful area! On the river in mountains yet close enough to Dolores, Cortez, Durango and Telluride. The Dolores Market is a small grocery store in town but has everything you will need.
Coming from South Texas we love good Mexican food and it is hard to find when traveling but MITequila in Dolores was very good. Taking the drive to visit and shop Telluride, Ouray then Silverton was amazing. The house has all amenities plus more than we expected. Very well equipped. Clean and comfortable beds. Plenty of linens. We did travel with our beagles and there is a dog sitter we found in Dolores on Rover.com named Ashley for the time we couldn’t have them come to our activities. She was great!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Glad you enjoyed my home
It is my home not a rental property
Dolores Market is a local store with the best produce, meat and pies in the valley both meat and fruit
The lady who owns it is a local and wonderful person and we hope all our renters will support her store

We had a issue with the water pressure and called the property manager who was very helpful. They got a Plummer out and could not find an issue. The issue happened again and when we notified the owners they told us we could leave.. We did not expect it to be a “Hilton” experience, however we did expect to have daily showers and flushing toilets!!! The owners are extremely rude!
The listing makes this seem like the property is remote and you will be fairly secluded in nature. But you can see neighbors on all sides of the property. They are close enough that while we were eating out on the deck we could hear the conversations of the other permanent residents that live on two sides. The third side has a church camp that we found out is in session off and on. You would absolutely be able to hear camp activities from this property, especially because the trees that provided some seclusion were all cut down.
The loft upstairs seems like it would be a great option for a family with kids. However, the stairs to get up there are an open-step iron spiral staircase that is most certainly not child-friendly. Even the adults in our group were a bit uneasy walking up that staircase.
The property owners are not local and we found communication with them to be rude. But the local contact was fantastic and quick to help deal with a few issues we ran into including the gnat infestation we experienced.
There is no air conditioning, which is normally find in a mountain home because you simply sleep with windows open; that's what screens are for. This is common practice, and we have slept this way at many locations over the years without issues. Here we woke up to a substantial number of gnats all over both bathroom sinks and in the kitchen. Sticky traps were provided and that helped some, but if you prefer to sleep with windows open, this is NOT the place to stay.
The house was perfect for our needs..Mid September is a great time to visit this area, temps were great. We were about one week too early for good fall color.
Such a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy nature. Loved sitting on the patio listening to the sounds of the river. Just what we needed. And Jennifer was very helpful and quick in responding when we had a question.
Would definitely love to come back in the future.
we stayed beginning of july, coming from phoenix. temp in phoenix around 112-113. temp by fox den 88. thought we would need ac at fox den , but kim was right cabin stayed cool and comfortable between 69 and 73 degrees. dolores river low but great to sit on back covered porch in rocking chairs and listen to river. yard was fenced for dogs making it easy for us to take out and not worry about them. didn't end up fishing but about 1 mile from cabin twin spruce fishing lease state wildlife area, where people were fishing. great cabin and area. hope to go back next summer.
