About this property

This 3-bedroom, 2 full bath home has been recently updated inside & out!! Located within the Mandalay Shores neighborhood, it affords visitors an ideal spot for vacationing.

Enjoy walks on the beach, nearby golf courses, Channel Islands Harbor & Maritime Museum, Ventura Marina, plus local shops and seafood restaurants. Take the bikes on a ride to the beach or visit the shops at the Marina.

Bedrooms include a huge master suite with King bed, vaulted ceilings, and an ocean view from the crow's nest; a lovely Queen bedroom sleeps two; and a third bedroom has a twin bed, twin air mattress and a pack and play. This home comfortably sleeps a total of 6 guests.

There are two baths—one on each floor—a full-size washer/dryer, and plenty of street parking.

Activities abound! Take an excursion boat to the Channel Islands National Park, where there are unique species of plants and wildlife, as well as spectacular scuba diving and snorkeling.

Drive 10 min to enjoy the shopping on Main Street in Ventura, or 20 min to the charming & artistic town of Ojai. Don’t forget the scenic 25-mile drive to gorgeous Santa Barbara!

After a day of exploring, guests can grill steaks out in the backyard, play board games, surf the Web via Wi-Fi, or relax in front of a movie. The open floor plan makes for easy entertaining, and gourmets can cook to their heart’s content in the fully equipped kitchen.

Great beach rental!

We had a wonderful stay for a month at this property. We had a couple of family gatherings at Christmas and the home accommodated all 17 of us easily between downstairs and upstairs. We walked to the park near by, along the ocean, with great walking/biking paths. The kitchen was well stocked, very close to the Oxnard and Ventura marinas /restaurants/shops.

Beach Holiday

Wonderful property. Plenty of room for our large family inside and out. Just a short walk from a beautiful beach. Awesome location. Enjoyed day trips to The Channel Islands, Malibu and Ojai. We would definitely stay there again.

Large house 5 minutes from the beach

We recently spent a month at this beach house to get out of Phoenix heat. It has plenty of room & is light and bright. The owner, Mr McCabe is very nice. We had several issues while we were there. The house has a terrible ant problem. All open food needed to be bagged. Every crumb needed to be cleaned. Even when doing this we dealt with ant 🐜 trails on a daily basis. They even got into the microwave. The kitchen ceiling has termites, small amounts of their dust drop on the kitchen table. The house has all the supplies you will need if some supplies were replaced after we left, TP (we purchased a 9 pack), shower soap, Saran Wrap, zip lock bags, aluminum foil type items. Suggestions that would make things a lot better. The Santa Fe grill is rusty, large & unappealing. We bought a $15 grill at Walmart. I would buy a propane gas grill to use. The kitchen chair seats need to be recovered. They are all stained & unattractive. We bought seat covers on Amazon for $40. The toaster over has seen better days. Either clean it up or better yet just buy a new toaster for $20. The coffee pot works but the heating element is rusted out so if you don’t get your coffee immediately it will not be hot. This is another inexpensive fix. The landscape needs to be cleaned & trimmed up. These suggestions are meant to be constructive. We had a nice time for the month we were there. The weather and neighborhood were great. We sat in the backyard a lot which was great. The beach is close.

Great stay

We enjoyed our time at the house. It was like a “ home away from home”. The location in Oxnard can’t be beat! We will certainly choose this location again.

This home has been in our family for many years. This is the beach where Mike learned to surf, skateboard and grow up. The house has transformed over the years, and we recently updated the interior.

Why they chose this property

The view from the crow's nest is spectacular. There is a good sized backyard, a deck on the upper level and stairs leading to the roof. Open and airy, vacationers will enjoy the living room downstairs, family room upstairs and being together.
