Lothar e Edith (..... e le loro bellissime biciclette!) sono stati ospiti graditissimi, gentili. puntuali, molto corretti, collaborativi, e hanno lasciato la casa pulita ed in ordine. Posso raccomandarli a tutti gli altri hosts. Dear Cammy, I have just read your review and am surprised and sorry, because it is very negative and different from that of the my other guests. In my review I gave you the highest positive marks also because our communication was excellent and you, in our many messages and phone calls, told me that you and your family (= 6 people) were happy and everything was going well. That's why I gladly offered you 2-extra- free-days: my present for your birthday. But about my house you wrote only bad things and no one good thing (furniture, location, wonderful view, etc.). As you know, I live and work in Milan (I'm architect), 100 km away from my beloved Lake Orta, and I can't know exactly how clean the 2 bathrooms were when you arrived. But, if they were not, you should have told me it in our first phone call and I would have sent again the cleaning lady (who is usually good and reliable) to clean better the 2 bathrooms. As for the lack of shower carpets in the bathrooms, you are right, it was a mistake and you could-should have asked me right away: they are there in the closet. As for sheets and towels, as the price of the stay is very low, I indicated in the announce that it is an extra-service from the cleaning lady (= € 10 / person). Also, as all of my guests arrive in their own car, most of them carry their own sheets and towels in their luggage. As for the heating, it is easy to use, yuo have just to turn the room thermostat switch: it was tested right before your arrival. As indicated in the announcement, it is an extra-cost based on the real consumption of m3 liquid gas (LPG) measured by my gas meter and exceeding the first 8 m3, which are free for guests, included in the price of the stay. In past years, when the cost of heating was included in the (low!) price of the stay, the guests kept it turned on always the maximum, even when it was not needed, and the final cost that then I had to pay was very high. In this case I have not asked you any extra-payment for the GPL you have consumed. However, if you and your family want to return, you will be welcome and you will find the perfect home as you want.
