The location was very nice for getting to all the local attractions. The loft bedrooms were nice and the owner was made aware of the need to change out the electrical outlets so that phone chargers and the like would stay plugged in. Simple fix. Also, if you plan to do any cooking make sure you bring simple supplies with you like paper towels, cooking oil, and garbage bags. It was a nice quiet location right across from the river.
The cabin was great. It had everything we needed and was the perfect spot for a getaway. The property is fantastic, great fishing. The host was super accommodating and responsive. Overall phenomenal experience

Outside areas needed significant attention, were not welcoming and not maintained. Wasp nests under all shutters, we had to spray to kill them. Ants in kitchen on counters daily. Steps down to floating dock broken and unsafe. Terrible fishing spot. Inside of house was otherwise clean including linens and towels. Surfaces and furniture clean but rugs had many stains.
I had a lovely time with my family. The cabin is lovely and the host provides everything you need to be comfortable. We fished off the dock and took the canoe out. We caught bass and pumpkin fish. It was wonderful.

I appreciated that the unit was pet friendly. A/C was great. It's obviously a cabin in the woods, but I expected a bit more in terms of cleanliness. There was a level of dust/dirt on a lot of different things in the unit as well as a lot of hair (pet and human) on the bedding, pillows, and in the shower. For me personally, it was a bit much and I left early but I can see how others might be able to overlook and enjoy the area and view.
"We just wrapped up a wonderful stay at this property with our family, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The house itself was absolutely perfect—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for our needs. We were especially captivated by the stunning view, which made every morning and evening spent there truly special. On top of that, the host was incredibly gracious and attentive, making the entire process seamless from start to finish. We truly loved our time here and would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. We hope to stay here again in the future!"
Great place for 3 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of amenities and private access to the river. A downside as others mentioned was that the river is on the other side of the road, so need to cross to get to the river access. Not a big deal but worth noting. The river access itself is steep and not the safest. The steps could use some fixing up. It rained while we were there and made it very slippery which wasn't ideal with metal rods sticking up that are holding the wood steps in place. Otherwise there's a nice boat launch about 1/2 mile up the river which made it nice to drop off with tubes/kayaks and float back to the cabin..Also a nice fenced enclosure under the house for dogs which was a nice touch. Two fire pits, one by the cabin and another down by the river.

This is a great spot to spend time with family or friends. They made great use of the open space with ample seating and provided almost anything you might need. It is cozy and cute and in a great location near the caverns!
This is an amazing spot on the Shenandoah River! We caught so many fish. We even had a fish fry one evening because a couple of the bass we caught were more than 15 in.!The property and house were spacious and clean and well cared for.
We had a great stay. The kids totally loved the lofts and the adults loved the campfire and the well-stocked kitchen. With the road between the house and the river we kept the dogs leashed, but this was totally fine by us.
