About this property
PEACEFUL SECLUSION, YET ONLY 5 MINUTES FROM INTERSTATE 83!
Amenities abound with this beautiful 3 bedroom home situated on 10 acres! Amenities such as a game room, sun room, central air, outdoor wood deck with Weber grill, hiking trails and lots of peace and quiet! Centrally located to York, Gettysburg, Lancaster, Hershey and Harrisburg, it really is, seclusion in the middle of civilization!
Fine Art House is located on 10 acres in south central Pennsylvania just minutes away from downtown York. You'll be surrounded by woods and horse pastures, so peace and quiet are the norm. Every room is an art gallery filled with fine art canvas. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, living room (with a 55 inch 4K flat screen TV, Dish Network including HBO/Cinamax and DVD player), dining room, kitchen (with dishwasher, side by side refrigerator and convection oven), game room featuring billiards, shuffleboard, foosball and darts, laundry room with washer and dryer, enclosed sun porch, and an outdoor deck with a Weber gas grill, umbrella table, chairs and a bench. There's enough room for the entire family! In the summer you can sit out on the wood deck and watch the squirrels play, listen to the birds chirp or watch the horses graze while enjoying the sun and sipping on your favorite beverage. If your just planning on hanging out, there are miles of trails for hiking and a game room featuring billiards, shuffleboard, foosball, darts, and corn hole if the weather is nice! Or, perhaps you would like to enjoy sitting around a campfire roasting hot dogs and marsh mellows! Centrally located, Fine Art House is convenient to many activities. People from across the country and around the world have stayed here. Many to visit relatives and many just to explore the surroundings and activities, such as Hershey Park, Amish country, Gettysburg, Ski Roundtop (Ski Roundtop has numerous summer activities too, including a zip line), the Strasburg Railroad Museum, Harley Davidson, kayaking and fishing on the Susquehanna River and more. York is the home of the York Revolution baseball team, and the countries oldest county fair, which is held in September. York is well known for it's downtown farmer's market and it hosts the Street Rods National East event in June. For all of you wine connoisseurs there are several local wineries! Fifteen minutes north is Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania. Harrisburg is the home of the Harrisburg Senators baseball team, the Civil War Museum, fine dining, exciting nightlife and art shows. Five miles north of Harrisburg is the Rockville Bridge which is the world's longest stone arch railroad bridge. The Hollywood Casino and Penn National Racetrack is just east of Harrisburg, and now there's a Casino in York! Several golf courses are within a 15 minute drive. Nearby Gifford Pinchot State Park, offers boating, swimming, hiking and bird watching opportunities. Photographers from all over the country travel to the Conowingo Dam in late November and early December to photograph Bald Eagles swooping down to catch a fish. Whatever your reason is for staying here, I will do my absolute best to make sure that it's an enjoyable one!

About the host
Hosted by Michael S Knudsen

I am a retired photographer and a Navy submarine veteran. I was born and raised in California and I joined the Navy at age 17. People ask what brought me to this area. I was stationed in New London, Connecticut when I got out of the Navy and eventually wound up working at Three Mile Island as a Control Room Operator. Today, I spend much of my time taking care of the property and tending to the horses. I still ride occasionally, but much of my free time is spent playing pool in local leagues.
Why they chose this property
I bought this property because I needed more room. Let me clarify that, the horses needed more room! There were other places available, but this one offered more of what I wanted in the way of seclusion. It's nice to be away from it all and yet be able to get to it all, by just driving down the hill.
