Located in an old barn restored nineteenth stone and exposed beams, this cottage is the perfect place for a family vacation or friends. With an area of ​​85m² and 3 bedrooms, it can accommodate up to 6 people. Very sunny, on a plateau 1150m above sea level, it offers stunning 360 ° view over the mountains of Dévoluy, Céüse and Charance.
This is the beginning of many excursions and ski stations are nearby.
5km from the town of La Roche des Arnauds and 10km from Gap, you can enjoy the pedestrian area of ​​the market with local producers, entertainment and cultural life as theater, new rink ...

Séjour magnifique

We had a great week at Karl & Béatrice's house in the mountains: the house was fully equipped, nicely furnished, super clean, and it has the best views on the nearby peaks in the Devoluy mountains. It was close to a village with a boulangerie and not far from Gap. And close to lots of hiking trails and swimming spots. Can only recommend! - Lucy

Perfect holidays in an idyllic surrounding

This has probably been one of our best vacations so far: the house is well equipped, cozy, with a private garden + outdoor amenities and crop field’s right in front. Kids can play safely all around the area as there is no traffic and adults can relax and enjoy the tranquility and the beautiful surroundings. There are also great hiking routes both for the family and for adults. And of course, Super Devoluy is right in the nearby. Last but not least, the owners, Beatrice and Karl, are polite and helpful people - we will surely repeat!

Little paradise in the French Alps

If you like peace and quiet, then you've come to the right place. What an incredibly beautiful location and the view of the mountains is amazing. The gite is fully and very well equipped. The owners are very friendly and very nice people. They live next to the gite where they also have bed and breakfast. You can always contact them with questions and they will give you an explanation about the area on your arrival. The surroundings are beautiful and the location of the gite is wonderful. The good weather of Provence and the view and cool nights of the French Alps. A paradise for walkers. Plenty of opportunities to swim in river or lake. The town of Gap is a 10-minute drive away for lovely outdoor cafes and restaurants. Embrun is an hour's drive away and is beautiful! Thanks for the nice holiday. We enjoyed!

Absolute Empfehlung - Absolutely recommended

Wir, eine Familie mit drei Kindern zwischen 11 und 6 Jahren, durften wertvolle Zeit im Haus von Karl und Beatrice verbringen. Das Haus ist schön gelegen, nach hinten raus wartet nichts als Weite auf einen. Wer die Abgeschiedenheit mag, der ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Das Haus ist sauber, authentisch, liebevoll und "vollständig ausreichend" eingerichtet. Die Gegend bietet sich herausragend dafür an, die Natur zu erkunden, zu Fuß, für Geübte auch mit dem Fahrrad. Letzteres hat aber definitiv einen sportlichen Charakter. Man kann sich an diversen Anstiegen, z.T. bereits von der Tour de France befahren, auspowern. Wenn es "zu warm" ist, ist der See zur Abkühlung nur 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Städtchen mit Charme (Gap, Sisteron und Co.) sind gut zu erreichen. Wir haben es genossen und es steht fest, dass wir wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für das taktvolle "Auftreten" der Vermieter. Sie waren immer da, wenn man sie brauchte. Unser "gebrochenes" Französisch wurde durch das Englisch von Karl aufgefangen, danke dafür. Für diejenigen, die auf der Suche nach dem oben beschriebenen sind, ist definitiv eine Empfehlung ausgesprochen... Viele Grüße Jonas + Familie

Le Clos de Lumière

Sur les photos le gîte Le Clos de Lumière parait isolé alors qu'il est dans un petit hameau avec 2 grosses maisons retapées dont une qui appartient aux propriétaires mais ça reste authentique et magique car il est situé en plaine à 1150 m au pied des montagnes. La vue est imprenable quand on sort du gîte. C'est un lieu idéal pour se reposer et se ressourcer. Possibilité de faire des balades à partir du gîte. Mieux vaut venir avec ses provisions pour éviter d'aller faire ses courses à Veynes ou à Gap. Le gîte est très agréable, bien chauffé en hiver; bien équipé. Les lits sont confortables et les couettes agréables. A recommander pour le dépaysement . Le plus à la période de Noël Karl et Beatrice avaient mis un sapin de Noël à l'entrée et diverses décorations. C'était très sympa.

Très bon séjour.

Le logement est très bien. Situé à près de 1150 m d'altitude, on se trouve au bord de chemins de randonnée. Endroit intime et calme. Vue magnifique sur les montagnes depuis la terrasse extérieure avec même un peu de neige sur les sommets fin mai. Le propriétaire mets tout le nécessaire à disposition tant pour permettre de cuisiner que pour réaliser le ménage convenablement. Et pour se ravitailler, boucherie et boulangerie à 5min en voiture et à 10 minutes des supermarchés.

Traumhafte Lage

Die Lage der Gite ist traumhaft füt Leute die absolute Ruhe mögen, der Blick auf die Berge (Pic de Bure und umliegende Berge) ist sensationell. Die Gite liegt abseits am Ende einer kleinen Straße auf der Hochebene, absolut keine Autos zu hören. Sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Bergwanderungen in der z.T bizarren Bergwelt des Devoluy mit Gröllwüsten, vielen auch für Wanderer zugänglichen Graten und Gipfeln und (weniger zugänglichen) schroffen und hohen Felswänden und Bergmassiven. Die Vermieter Beatrice und Karl sind sehr sympathisch, hilfsbereit und unaufdringlich, vielen Dank an Euch. Wir haben die 2 Wochen dort sehr genossen und konnten uns abends kaum von dem Ausblick von der Terasse aus losreißen. Wir waren im September 2 Wochen dort und werden bestimmt eimal im Frühjahr wieder kommen. Ursula und Rainer

Heerlijk verblijf op schitterende locatie.

Semaine parfaite

La maison de Karl et Béatrice est tout simplement parfaite. La maison est d'une propreté impeccable, très bien équipée (équipement cuisines, ingrédients de base, produit pour le ménage) aussi bien l'intérieur que l'extérieur (chaises longues, parasol) avec des jeux pour grands et petits. Elle est située au calme avec, d'un côté la maison des hôtes (aucun vis à vis) et de l'autre côté, vue montagnes et champs. Parfait pour des soirées étoilées. Des balades/randonnées au départ de la maison. Des activités pour les enfants à moins de 30 min. (Lac, ferme du col, apiland pour la découverte des abeilles). Nous avons passé une très belle semaine, très variée dans les activités. Et les après-midi à la maison étaient tout simplement idylliques,entre rosiers, altheas et transat dans le jardin.

Un véritable petit coin de paradis!

La maison est idéale pour les amoureux d'espace vert et de calme! Pas d'autre bruit autour de nous que les chants de la nature. Nous avons vraiment adoré cet endroit. Le gîte est parfaitement équipé, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Les propriétaires sont charmants et nous ont conseillé quelques randonnées à couper le souffle... C'est vraiment avec regret que nous avons quitté cet endroit où nous avons passé 10 jours de vacances. Gap est à 10 kms. On y est très vite pour faire quelques courses ou trouver un petit restaurant. Et dans le village de La Roche (à 4 kms) vous trouverez 2 boulangeries, une boucherie, une épicerie, un bar-tabac,... Bref, nous ne manquerons pas de recommander ce gîte à nos amis les plus proches. Merci Karl et Béatrice pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse.

Un écrin de nature

Un gîte très agréable,bien agencé, très bien équipé, très cosy... beaucoup de soin apporté à l'hygiène et à la literie. Le cadre est tout simplement magique, qui plus est sous la neige. Des balades à faire au pied de la porte, certaines épuisantes, mais combien réparatrices.... Séjour réussi garanti.
