Fantastic property, had everything we needed. Great size pool for the kids to use. Feeding the chickens every night was a highlight for the kids. 35 min walk into Amboise town along the river. Great market on a friday and Sunday. Amboise castle is definitely worth seeing.

Family holiday

Excellent place for a family get together. Amboise within walking distance. peaceful grounds of chateau. The pool was so welcome as was the bbq. We would recommend the Château for a comfortable stay in France.

Lovely property in a beautiful location

We stayed here as two families with 5 children between us. The property is really lovely, it has so much character and is set in spacious grounds so ample room for the children to entertain themselves. The pool is a good size and right next to the house and there was plenty of useful information left by the owners to help plan trips further afield.

Family Stay in Loire Valley

We loved everything about this property. The owners were the ultimate hosts, providing information on the property and the area, bringing fresh bread, butter and jam daily. The pool and horse pastures were favorites for the kids. Staying in a chateau was the highlight for the adults. The home was well appointed and immaculately clean. A great space for a multi-generation family trip. Highly recommend!

Alexia et moi sommes très soucieux du bien-être de nos hôtes et y travaillons quotidiennement. Cette année, pour davantage de confort, nous avons installé la climatisation dans les chambres du 2eme étage ; pour un meilleur respect de l’environnement, le chauffage et l’eau chaude sanitaire sont dorénavant produits par l’aérothermie. A la piscine la nouvelle puissante pompe à chaleur garantie une eau très agréable quel que soit l’ensoleillement, les repas cuisinés sur la plancha et dégustés sous les grands parasols en sont d’autant plus appréciés. Nous avons été content que vos parents qui logeaient dans le triplex « la vallière en vue » aient apprécié le petit déjeuner fait maison. Nous serions ravis de vous revoir au château de La Vallière.

Wonderful

Our stay was simply wonderful. The chateau brings you back to ancient times and the photo’s don’t do it enough justice, it look even better in real life. The hosts were lovely and so welcoming. We fed the chickens and petted the horses. The big pool was just a dream, we swam every day. The area itself is also fantastic. There is so much to do. Culture, sport, fine wines, restaurants etcetcetc. I would love to come back and would definitely recommend.

A lovely week

There were 7 of us staying for a week. We were made very welcome and then left to enjoy ourselves. The apartment is very well equipped with lots of glasses, cutlery etc. There is plenty of room inside and outside. We did not use the pool but it looks very good. We cycled through some lovely countryside and managed some wine tasting as well as chateau visits. A great place to stay.

Family trip to Amboise

We enjoyed the pool area , with its bbq and space to seat 3 families across 2 tables , with its lovely evening sun. The kitchen was well equipped , plenty of utensils, and the bedroom layout worked well. The AC in the little apartment was particularly good. We enjoyed seeing Amboise, Blois , Vouvray and took a trip to Saumur. The kids enjoyed the high ropes at Clic Lac, for a day out of the sun . Overall the property worked well, although the décor is a bit tired inside, the outdoor area made up for that.

Notre Château avait pour la première fois une ambiance de camping municipal !. Je suis contente que les 2 tables extérieures prévues pour 12 personnes aient pu accueillir vos 18 convives… Quant à la décoration intérieure de la propriété, celle-ci correspond à son style, son charme, et son histoire. Soyez assuré que nous accordons toujours une attention toute particulière pour le confort et la satisfaction de nos hôtes en espérant vous accueillir de nouveau mais sans dépasser la capacité d’accueil de 40% Mr et Mme de ROSNY (propriétaires) Thank you for your appreciation, we are delighted that you had a good holiday with your loved friends. We accepted for free your 5 extra last-minute friends with their caravan, and their 2 camping tents .... Our Castle had for the first time a municipal camping atmosphere! I am happy that the 2 outdoor tables for 12 people were able to accommodate your 18 guests ... As for the interior decoration of the property, it corresponds to its style, charm and history. Rest assured that we always pay special attention to the comfort and satisfaction of our guests hoping to welcome you again but without exceeding the capacity of 40% Mr and Mrs de ROSNY (owners)

Fantastic experience

I came to Loire Valley to tour the castles of the region with my wife and two other couples. So, why not stay in a castle ourselves? That's exactly what we did. Alexia, one of the hosts, was there to greet us when we arrived. She showed us around the property (including a pool that sadly we didn't have time to enjoy). While the accommodation was not luxurious (we didnt expect so), we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Alexia provided lots of information about the neighborhood and gave us tips on restaurants and boulangeries. And the location, Amboise, had its own castle as well as a great Da Vinci museum. It was perfect. As a host of a Vrbo property in US, I thought this property was super and I highly recommend this property to anyone who visits Loire Valley.

Wonderful Place

We had a very good time at Chateau la Valliere and highly recommend it. My family of seven (including small kids) was comfortably settled in the maison. The house is centuries old but the bathrooms and kitchen are newly renovated and practical. Rooms are spacious and clean. The owners live there (but totally segregated, providing full privacy) and are very kind and helpful. We even learned from the owners that their family has the chateau since 1595, and it also has some history as Madame Maintenont, who later became spouse of Louis XIV, lived there for some years. We were not lucky with the wheather to enjoy the pool (which seems very good, and is safely secluded), but the wide open green area was great for kids playing. The chateau is 5 minutes from Amboise (and some charming restaurants ans stores), and centrally located for other Vale du Loire chateaux. In summary, we had a good time in a comfortable and fun setting for a fair rate. We hope to visit again soon. Highly recommend for large families, kids.

Une excellente semaine à Amboise

Nous avons beaucoup appécié notre séjour au Château de la Vallière entre amis. L'emplacement, très proche d'Amboise, est idéal pour la visite des Chateaux de la Loire, avec la possibilité de profiter de la piscine pour se détendre après les visites (les enfants ont adoré). Environnement très calme en plaine campagne.
