A Haven

Although I booked this property on behalf of my friends illness stopped me from travelling to Italy. I have, however spoken to my friends who gave me the following feedback: The house was in a delightful setting with fantastic views, close to many ancient villages and within reach of Rome. The house was comfortable and clean with a friendly greeting from Guilia who was full of local knowledge. If you want to escape into tranquility this is the house for you. I personally thank Filippo, the host who has kept in contact with me during my illness.

Ideaal gelegen villa in de nabijheid van Rome.

De villa ligt net buiten Rocca Priora, een oud plaatsje in de buurt van Rome. Het beschikt over een prachtige tuin, waarin je heerlijk buiten kunt eten (la dolce vita!). Wij hadden de pech eigenlijk elke dag wel buien te hebben. Dat was dus pech. Door de ligging kent het huis 7 graden lagere temperaturen dan in Rome. Het huis kent 4 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers, het is gedateerd ingericht en kan hier en daar wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken. De host is zeer vriendelijk en doet alles om het naar je zin te maken. Waarvoor onze dank.

Lots of room and peaceful living!

Everything went fine with this one. It was easy to communicate with Filippo before travelling and during the stay. His messages helped us finding the house, which wasn’t exactly where Google Maps showed. The house had plenty of room and everything was like we expected. Kitchen was nicely equipped for some cooking. Our teenage kids were thrilled to find a table tennis in the hobby room downstairs. In October mornings and evenings were pretty cool, and we spent daytime doing touristy things in Rome and surroundings, so we didn’t have time to spend lazy days the garden, but we did enjoy the beautiful scenes. In summertime the garden would be just lovely place to have breakfast! We had a rental car, and it was fairly easy to drive to Anagnina metro station and park there for only 1,5 e/day. The metro to Rome cost another 1,5 e/person. There is also a bus that stops nearby if you don’t feel like driving in Italy - the traffic is quite aggressive. We can warmly recommend this place! Wonderful holiday

We celebrated our spring holiday at this beautiful house. Our children just loved the big garden! The house is perfectly located in the country site. We made several day trips to Rome, the beach and Herculaneum. It was a perfect holiday.

Haus an traumhafter Lage in einem Bergdorf nahe von Rom

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem rustikal eingerichteten, sauberen Haus sehr genossen. Es bietet alles, was es für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt benötigt. Schöne Umgebung lädt ein zum entdecken und die Nähe zu Rom ist ideal. Sehr freundliches und unkompliziertes Besitzerehepaar :-))

Eine traumhafte Villa

Wir kamen nach einer langen Autofahrt an und wurden herzlich mit kalten Getränken begrüßt. Das Haus ist wirklich schön. Alles war sauber und mit Liebe hergerichtet. Unsere Hunde genossen den riesigen Garten, der komplett eingezäunt war. Man könnte sich prima entspannen für Ausflüge nach Rom und Ostia. Tausend Dank für den Schönen Urlaub an die Familie Trombetta

Having made a long journey by car from Germany, the hosts arrived at the villa earlier than the scheduled time. Therefore, they had a chance to relax in the large garden overlooking the panorama on the Roman Castles, sipping cold drinks while waiting until the villa was being cleaned. Their two beautiful dogs have been respectful of the rules required by the house. Recommended. Greetings to the Paoletta Family and to Germany from Christiane and Filippo.

Una splendida vacanza

domani rientriamo a Roma con rammarico. Siamo stati un mese e siamo stati benissimo. A Roma il gran caldo e qui tanto fresco! la sera tutti con i golf!! La casa è molto bella e funzionale, ben arredata ed ha tutte le comodità. Le foto sono belle ma non rendono bene la realtà né della casa né dello splendido giardino ricco di verde alberi da frutta e more, Quest'anno dopo tanti anni ho rifatto tanti barattolini di marmellata di more! Ed infine, come si suol dire last but not least il Sig. Filippo è una persona molto carina gentile e disponibile e lo salutiamo ringraziandolo per tutto. Speriamo di poerci rivedere presto.

Mooie villa in prachtige omgeving

Wij hebben een super verblijf gehad in de villa. Ons vliegtuig had 2,5 uur vertraging waardoor we rond middernacht arriveerden in de villa. Dit was totaal geen probleem voor Filippo, en verwelkomde ons dan ook op een zeer aangename manier. In de loop van de vakantie werden we nog gebeld of alles naar wens was, en dat was het. De villa en tuin + omgeving is fantastisch. Zeer aanbevolen. Filippo en Christiane zijn zeer aardige mensen. Fam Sloot

Pace e fresco da incanto

La villa di Filippo e Christiane e' esattamente come descritta nel sito e merita davvero una recensione assolutamente positiva. Siamo stati sette giorni in cinque persone di cui due anziani con importanti difficoltà deambulatorie che non hanno trovato alcun impedimento nella casa. La casa era in ottimo stato e le stanze completamente arredate. Il giardino e' davvero grande e curatissimo e per il bambino la presenza del ping pong nella sala hobby ha rappresentato una gradita sorpresa. Non ci sono pericoli di sorta e la casa e' collocata a pochi metri da altre abitazioni che però non si vedono ne si sente alcun rumore. Il clima e' stato complessivamente buono e la sera abbiamo dovuto a volte ricorrere a maglie e coperte per far fronte ad un fresco che ci ha fatto dimenticare il caldo e l'afa di Roma e che già stiamo rimpiangendo.

Un bon point de départ pour visiter les environs

La maison de plein pied est grande, agréable, bien aménagée et équipée, conforme à la description. La vue y est magnifique, le jardin très agréable. Rocca priora est un bon point de départ pour rayonner sur les environs ; montagne, Rome, et mer ! Maison un peu froide en arrivant en hiver, mais avec un bon feux de cheminée on se réchauffe. Pour la capaicité d'eau chaude, il faut bien anticiper.

A lovely charming villa a...

A lovely charming villa and Filippo a very considerate and helpful host, he even stayed up late to welcome us on our arrival evening when our flight was delayed. Every morning we had breakfast in the sunshine with a view of the countryside before sightseeing in Rome. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed for self catering and even BBQ-ing. A local bakery is just down the road and the village a short walk away. The beds comfortable and the villa itself was a cool, peaceful and totally private retreat from the city heat. Excellent value for money, especially for a family holiday. I would thoroughly recommend Filippo and Christiane's Villa in Castelli Romani.

Beautiful place, great lo...

Beautiful place, great location and starting point to visit Rome, Castelli Romani and its stunning sourroundings. Great for family and friends, lot of space outside for BBQ and fun. Very private, shops nearby (fruteria and markets). A bit cold when the weather is wretched but you can always use amazing fireplace (remember to turn on the fan :) ). I would absolutely recommend this Villa to everyone!!! Very good contact with owners.

"La villa est trés agréable, spacieuse et située dans un cadre de moyenne montagne ( 768 m )qui dépayse aprés la grande plaine de Rome. Un seul bémol ( mais on en est pas mort :-)): la capacité du chauffe-eau est un peu juste pour à la fois se laver et faire la vaisselle.Il y a peut-être une amélioration à apporter de ce côté."

"Wonderful location, extremely private, tucked away in the heart of a lovely mountain village, with the most stunning views from inside and out. Clean, Spacious and tastefully furnished, with an amazing secure garden which is perfect for little ones to explore! Bakers and grocers at the bottom of the drive and all amenities in the village itself, which is easily walk able and full of Italian charm. The owner was really helpful and always available on the phone for information etc. Would highly recommend staying here instead of in Rome itself, not only fraction of cost but so peaceful and a real retreat after a days exploring! Would love to return sometime soon..."

"La casa e molto grande con un splendido cammino nel salotto. Il giardino e altrettanto grande e ben curato. Noi siamo stati benissimo nonostante che era invverno e due giorni ha piovuto ininterrotamente, in estate sono sicuro che si sta d`incanto! de villa is prachtig gele...

de villa is prachtig gelegen in de heuvels en heeft een prachtig uitzicht. Supermarkt en bakker en groentenboer in de directe omgeving augustus is niet de ideale maand = te warm, maar daar hebben de eigenaars geen schuld aan de eigenaars zijn heel vriendelijke en dienstvaardige mensen. De wasmachine deed het niet meer tijdens ons 14daags verblijf en toen is de eigenaar persoonlijk een nieuwe machine komen brengen
