Beautiful weekend!

The apartment is the perfect launching pad for any Newberg visit and wine tasting. Walk to coffee / restaurants and central to so many great wineries. Very comfortable and everything provided to make your stay amazing!

Exploring George Fox University

The place was spotless and welcoming. It's located near great restaurants (included the Italian place) and just blocks from the University. It was perfect and would rent it again without question.

Very Cute and Clean

This property is adorable and location is great. This is a perfect little getaway spot. Close to restaurants and wineries. We planned a sun-wed trip so many places were closed, but still plenty open. We will be coming back but will make it a weekend trip next time. Owners were amazing and responsive.

Was a artfully designed retro 2 bedroom 2 bath retreat. Space was comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were really nice, brand new. Only issues were that Internet connection did not work. But the downstairs wine merchant gave us his password, so we were connected

AMAZING! Best girls weekend ever! Equestrian wine tour, Allison Spa, foodie restaurants, perfect!

This place is so stinkin' cute! Repurposed antiques and reclaimed materials with an urban flair. Walking distance to everything you need in downtown Newberg. At least 10 tasting rooms in the downtown area, as well as a few cute shops and some good foodie restaurants. A short 5 minute drive to the Allison Spa and the Jory Restaurant. I am actually local, but Newberg is amazing, so I decided to do a staycation. I am a busy working mother of 4 and got a weekend away with my BFF of 25 years. She came down from Seattle and we did an Equestrian wine tour through the vineyards in Dayton/Dundee. Dined at Recipe (part deux), enjoyed Coffee Cat and Coffee Cottage in the mornings, and visited several tasting rooms in the downtown area. We also booked massages and facials at the Allison Spa for our last hurrah! The unit was easy to find, parking was easy (the spaces directly in front of the unit are 2 hour only, but one block away there are no limits to the street parking). The unit was spotless! The beds were beautiful antique... so they were a little squeaky :-) But the mattresses and bedding were extremely comfortable. Both bathrooms were beautiful! I loved everything about this adorable flat. It would be perfect for two couples away on a wine weekend (as it has 2 beds and 2 baths). Definitely give it a try!!

Everything was great. Loved the tea and coffee selections. Andrew was SO helpful. Two coffee shops w/in a block gave us plenty of options for espresso, coffee, tea and breakfast. So many wonderful outdoor activities with an hour drive! Suggest leaving more details about coffee maker and condiments you’ll provide. We bought coffee and left it there because I couldn’t find details on type of coffee maker and what we should expect… even in the reviews of other guests. Go figure? Very minor thing. We’ll know for our next trip… because we will be back!

Wine country headquarters

This place is very convenient to the wine country. And it is well appointed to allow cooking breakfast and dinner, and not having to go out.But it is also very easy (literally just around the corner) to a really cute downtown scene.The owners are focused on the visitors having a pleasant stay.

Best place to stay in Newberg. We have tried others vrbo's and this second story apt is the best. Whomever designed the apt is an artist. We have stayed twice, visiting our daughter at George Fox, and will stay here every time we visit!

Great location in Newberg

Super easy to walk to anywhere in old downtown Newberg. The apartment has blazing fast internet, a responsive heating and cooling system and is near the gorgeous scenery of the nearby vineyards. Lori, our host, was super responsive! Easy parking out front. Go see Tommy at the Old Towne Brewery and get some fab cheese at the cheese and cocktails place. We loved our stay!

The first floor was brilliantly restored to house Valley Wine Merchants, a wine mercantile with a wall of wine that will make any wine taster giddy. The owners are excited to offer the second story (The Newberg Downtowner) to travelers from near and far. The Downtowner Newberg is filled with amazing finds from Doug's experience as an auctioneer that he couldn't wait to share.

Why they chose this property

Doug's gift is seeing the potential in a property. After restoring numerous properties throughout Newberg (the kind of homes you'd see on This Old House), Doug saw the beauty and reward of restoring this building and what it could offer the community. The Downtowner Newberg was stripped to the bones and re-planned and furnished to accommodate the modern necessities of a traveler(s) to Oregon Wine Country.
