Perfect alternative to expensive hotel room without giving up luxury or location! Beautiful historic building completely renovated with all modern amenities and elevator, the building is completely brand new inside, but with original facade outside on popular Huertas street, extremely close to Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia Museums and the Palacio Real (Royal Palace), in historic downtown center of Madrid, the famous Barrio de las Letras.

The apartment has a King size bed, plus additional sofa beds in the living room. Lots of light and smack dab in the middle of all the happening places. The bedroom is not totally private. It has 3 walls. You can see it well in the pictures.

I have lived in Madrid for the past decade, glad to help you choose the best places to visit in and around Madrid. The apartment is right next to Plaza de Santa Ana. Near Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor and the Museums. You can walk to to La Latina, Mercado de San Miguel, Gran Via and also to Parque del Retiro.

The Metro subway station is a few steps away, so that you may easily move around Madrid, as well as a short walk to the Atocha Train station, from which you can easily take the high-speed bullet train AVE to Toledo, Segovia , or longer trips to Sevilla, Alicante or Barcelona.

The entire experience of renting this property was fantastic. The host provided detailed information, communicated clearly, and was available for any questions. The property was in a superb location, close to so many attractions and was exceptionally clean. Though it’s a bustling area, noise was not an issue for myself or partner during our stay. In the Centre of everything

We enjoyed our four-week stay very much. The apartment is spacious and well equipped- we really liked coming home after our walks around town. Everything was fine, the information correct and very detailed. Alicia, the concierge, was very helpful. We are recommending the flat to our friends.

Outstanding in every respect

We travel to Europe frequently and without question this was the best property we have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, great location, comfortable bed, large shower by European standards, etc. Communications with the owner was consistent and quick. This apartment is perfect. It's very comfortable and is on a nice quiet street. There are many restaurants nearby and steps from the apartment. The location could not get better. We walked from the apartment to most of the major sites. Gorete was a great host. She really does take care of her guests. She made herself available to us in case we had questions or concerns and gave us a great welcome to Madrid. I would highly recommend this apartment or any properties hosted by Gorete.

A Perfect Stay +

This is a beautiful apartment right in the heart of Madrid. It’s on a busy street, especially late at night, but you wouldn’t know it because it has been designed so well with the bedroom in the middle isolating it from noise. The host is more-than-kind and easy to reach. When our flight was changes, she quickly found a way to accommodate us for another night. Great apartment, great service an$ a perfect location to see the sight of Madrid. Bravo!

A fantastic stay!

My husband and I had the most positive experience at this location. To start, the host is nothing but amazing. The moment we booked the location she was in contact with us, giving us advice on sites to see, making sure our check in was easy, all of it. She made checking in and getting situated so easy. Next, the room itself. The space is perfect for a long or short stay in Madrid. You have all the necessities and it’s clean and cozy! Finally, the location. It’s in the most perfect area. Restaurants and cafe’s everywhere! You will not be disappointed with this stay. I highly recommend!

Amazing Apartment in an Amazing Location

My husband and I spent three nights in this wonderful apartment. Everything from communication with the property manager, to check in AND out was very easy. The apartment could not have been more perfect! There was plenty of space, two sets of French doors in the living/dining room which let in ample light, a good-sized refrigerator /freezer, microwave, and washing machine. There were plenty of spices, olive oil, teas, coffee, etc. to get us started. And, the location of the apartment could not have been more perfect. It was in a very central location close to many yummy cafes, restaurants, shops, and tourist attractions. I would NOT hesitate to return to this fabulous apartment OR recommend it to others! Look no further; this IS the place to stay!

Wonderful apartment, excellent location

This is a wonderful apartment to stay in while visiting Madrid and the area around Madrid. The apartment and the entire building were recently remodeled and are located on a, mainly, pedestrian street in a perfect central location - only a few minutes walk from the museums, metro, and the Atocha train station. Many restaurants and grocery stores are only a steps away. The building has an elevator and the apartment is on the 2nd floor (European) or the 3rd floor (American). The apartment is beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, a nice modern bathroom and kitchen, and a really quiet air-conditioning system. The apartment was very clean. The street was a bit noisy for us to sleep with open windows but the AC was so quiet that it was hard to notice. Our 16-year old son slept on one of the couches and was also happy with the comfort of the bed. The details of the listing are accurate so I do not need to describe them. We loved the apartment and would stay in it again. I'd recommend it to all my friends.

Excellent stay in Madrid!

This apartment was a perfect spot for our family to explore Madrid! It’s within walking distance of the Prado and other sights in central Madrid, near the Metro, and is an easy walk to several nightlife spots. Highly recommended!

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location! This is smack-dab in the middle of the historic Barrio de las Letras (Literature Neighborhood) very romantic, safe and with countless places to eat, people-watch, on a pedestrian street (no traffic).

What makes this property unique

The building was completely gutted a few years ago and they saved the facade and the 100 year old staircase, but everything else is brand-new modern construction and a modern elevator. We have furnished and equipped the apartment with everything we would like to find in a rental, we use VRBO ourselves when we travel so we understand that small details are paramount. Besides, we have lived in Madrid for over a decade, so we are happy to steer you to the best suggestions, whether they are restaurants, site seeing, shopping, trendy restaurants, family places or unique Madrid experiences depending on your date of travel.
