For your convenience, we provide kayaks along with paddles and life vests for guest use. Designed for making unforgettable vacation memories, this inviting lakefront retreat is the perfect place to unwind and experience the relaxation only a lake house can provide. The Cove features three comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and accommodates 6-8 guests. Note: Upstairs bedroom & bath are not on central HVAC system and cooled by window unit. You will find modern décor, fresh linens, cozy beds, and a fully stocked kitchen to make your stay easy and enjoyable. During the cooler months, curl up by the wood-burning fireplace with a warm cup of tea and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Wonderful repeat visit

We stayed here two years ago and have always wanted to return. We are so happy we got to visit again. The house has everything you need and we really enjoyed sitting in the covered garage area during the summer storms. The house is beautifully decorated and the beds are super comfortable. Peaceful stay at the lake

We were in town for a family reunion and wanted a quiet and relaxing home to stay in. This fit all of our needs! The pictures don’t do it justice either. Beautiful home, perfect location. We felt right at home and loved the decor and details that made this a cozy place to stay. Huge kitchen, large bedrooms and clean bathrooms. Highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again!

This lakehouse has brought us so many wonderful memories and we want to share that experience with others. Like most Charlestonians, we love the water! We stumbled upon this home in 2009 in our search for a lakefront property. The house was very outdated, but we saw its potential and over the years have turned it into the modern oasis it is today.

Why they chose this property

Moncks Corner is about 30 miles from downtown Charleston. We wanted a home that was far enough away that it felt like a vacation, but close enough that we didn't have to travel far to take advantage. The name you ask? “The Cove” was the name for the spot our friends and family would meet while boating. It just so happens this spot is just outside of our canal. It’s a great place to anchor and pull out the floats. The water is shallow and the bottom is sandy.

What makes this property unique

The Cove sits on a canal just feet away from the open lake. Centrally located, you can travel to the upper lake or go down through the locks, which allows you to travel from the lake into the Cooper River (very cool experience). The boat launch is private and right outside your back door. Both the front and back offer a full covered porch, which makes for a great place to sip on a cocktail and watch the sunset. The interior has been updated and offers a spacious kitchen, dining, and family room for larger gatherings. The other thing we love about The Cove, is it’s far enough away that it’s relaxing and feels like a vacation, but also close enough that you can go into Charleston to enjoy all that the Holy City has to offer.
