About this property
Cabin with beautiful view, on 'Peaceful Side of the Smokies'
A charming and beautiful cabin with real rustic split log construction with sweet surroundings! Has a very beautiful view, cabin is situated in a log cabin community, but don't worry, it is very private. It has its own large driveway and is located off of the road which gives it some much desired peace and quiet. The cabin has a large covered deck with a swing, sitting area, two rocking chairs, gas grill, and private hot tub. Can't describe how beautiful the view is from here!!! Inside the cabin, you will find a loft bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed and half bath, dresser and armoir. Downstairs there is a nice living room with a sixty- inch flat screen TV, DVD player, free WIFI, Comcast cable. The cabin has central heat and air conditioning and is very well insulated for warmth on those cold days and nights in the winter. And to keep you cool on those hot days and nights in the summer. There is a gas burning rock fireplace as well. The kitchen is fully equipped to cook a meal for your loved one including a dishwasher range, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, coffee pot and more. The full bathroom downstairs has a tub/shower combo and washer and dryer. There is also a huge whirlpool jetted tub for a late night soak !! Also has a full size pool table. Windancer is located in a log cabin community which gives you accessibility to the seasonal swimming pool and covered pavilion. The cabin is almost on top of the mountain, there 3 more cabins above my cabin. Concrete roads all the way to the cabin. Front wheel drive vehicles are sufficient most of the time but all wheel drive or 4-wheel drive is suggested for all guests to be more comfortable if it rains or winter weather is around !! This is how you get the great view and seclusion. This cabin will sleep 2 adults upstairs and have a pull out sofa downstairs, but it is only big enough for 2 children. Cabin is not large enough for 4 adults. I have 2 security cameras, 1points to steps going up to porch. One points toward driveway. Townsend offers many wonderful things to do. Here you can go swimming, biking, tubing, fishing, horse back riding, take beautiful photographs of awesome mountain and river views. Townsend also has art and craft stores and several great restaurants and Churches. Wedding and events Venue is located about an eighth of a mile from cabin. Cabin is about 5 - 10 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National park and Cades Cove entrance. And about 30 to 40 minutes through the beautiful mountains to get to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. I also have a larger cabin in this resort on flat land, no mountain to climb, but you don't have the view as the other cabin. If you aren't used to driving in the mountains I recommend this cabin for you, you just don't get the view as you do at #157. It is a higher nightly rate. But it is a lot bigger cabin Search for cabin #2990960 in VRBO
Owners: Eddie and Alice Cansler ecmotorstn@bellsouth.net There are bears in the resort, so please do not leave food on porch or your vehicle and make sure you keep your vehicle locked.

My daughter and I stayed here for 5 days of hiking and relaxing. It was quiet and comfortable. We loved being able to use the pool, the host was very easy to communicate with, and the view was spectacular.
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was very clean, cozy, and had an absolutely amazing view that made it easy to relax and enjoy the mountains. The host was also fantastic, any time we had a question or a small issue, they responded incredibly quickly and were very helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful mountain getaway!

Thank you so much for your nice review and i am so glad you had a good stay
We enjoyed our stay! Drive up was scary the first time but once we knew what to expect it was fine. Cabin was clean and the view was beautiful. Hot tub was great so was the pool in the front of the neighborhood/resort.
We had never stayed on the Townsend side, it was great.Hardly any traffic and 20 minutes to Cades Cove. The cabin was clean and had spectacular views. The road up was a mountain road, but really not that bad. We never had to use our 4x4. We’ve done worse. Alice was kind enough to make sure we got checked in ok. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!we would definitely come back!!

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay
we also love staying up there
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was cozy, peaceful, and the view was absolutely beautiful — easily one of our favorite parts of the trip. The location was perfect as well, just a short drive to Townsend and the Smoky Mountains, which made exploring the area incredibly convenient. We truly enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.
What a wonderful cabin!!!!! It was very clean. The directions there were perfect!! The best thing about it is the view from the backporch. We could have spent the whole weekend out there!
Loved the view! Perfect cozy cabin for relaxing after a day of hiking. Host was responsive and description and photos were accurate. The drive up is steep but we took it slow and had no issues with a regular SUV.
Amazing stay. We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. Make sure you put your vehicle in low when going up to the cabin. The host has excellent communication. Will stay again.

Thanks for the great review, I am so glad you enjoyed it
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The owners were informative of the steep driveway so we weren’t surprised by this. We would stay here again if we make another trip to Townsend.
Cabin cozy but too many stairs for usThe hot water was not hotAnd of course road up was scary glad we had good weather and didn't meet anyone on the roadOverall we enjoyed our stayThanks
Host was very responsive and very nice. The cabin was very clean and so was the hot tub we enjoyed the view as well as the pool table. We would stay again on our next visit to Townsend TN. Highly recommend you stay here. PS. drive way is a little steep - would recommend AWD .
Wonderful view and peaceful setting. Convenient location to Townsend and the national park. Comfy bed, and hot tub was nice. Pool table was quite worn and positioned where it was hard to play from every side. Overall a great place to stay.
Beautiful property!Relaxing stay and the nicest people, enjoyed the laid back ,low key Townsend.

Thanks for your wonderful review and so glad you had a great stay at our cabin. I fully agree with you about our very laid-back Townsend one red-light town with only about a 35-45 minute drive to get into the hustle bustle pigeon forge or Gatlinburg.
