Tropical retreat Indeed!

This is a great place and is a wonderful place to stay. The owners are gracious hosts and maintain a warm and welcoming house. Of course, it's location 2 blocks from the sea doesn't hurt either. We loved it!

This place is great and the owners are even better

We have rented from Ali and Dennis for 4 years now and their rental is great, very well cared for and they make improvements every. The location is close to the gulf and close enough to everything you want in the Tarpon Springs area. We love it and plan to come back next year!

Tropical Retreat Paridise

This place is perfect. Large living room dining room combination, with a huge Master Bedroom suite. It is well appointed and located just a short distance from the beach in one of the most beautiful cities in Florida. The owners provide great service and have provided just about anything anyone would want! It is a great place to stay! We highly recommned it!

Beyond Expectation

Beautiful home with all the luxuries. Close proximity to beautiful Howard Park Beach. Bikes provided. Everything you need to cook nice meals and a bar for entertaining. Enjoyed the fireplace and the jacuzzi tub. Dennis and Ali have thought of everything. Thanks so much!

Tropical Retreat in Tarpon Springs, Tampa

Wow! Wow! Wow! This villa is amazing. It is literally beautiful inside. The camera certainly doesn't lie! Everything inside is brand new and immaculately kept. The people who own this villa really have thought of everything. It is so well equipped and very clean. You really get the 'Home from Home' feeling. I like the fact that if you had a problem, the owners only live about 18 miles away, and they encouraged you to phone no matter how small or large the issue was. I'm happy to say that we didn't need to contact them! Everything was really close to the accommodation too. I am looking forward to rebooking next year as the whole of the family enjoyed our stay. We have never stayed in such a lovely and comfortable villa. We all had such a good time on the bikes that are provided for use especially the tandem bike which provided many hours of laughter!

Even Better than Expected!!

We were forced to find a place to stay between selling our house and buying a house which required a temporary rental for 3 months. After submitting my inquiry, I heard back immediately and they were happy to accommodate our needs. The pictures were very nice but never having seen the house, we weren't quite sure what to expect. My family was very pleasantly surprised and happy that I had found such a nice place for us to live during the transition. The house was very clean and extremely well equipped and furnished. No matter what we looked for in the kitchen, it was there. The appliances were newer and worked extremely well. They had beautiful bikes in the garage that allowed us to ride to one of the two beaches nearby regularly. The owners were very quick to respond if we had any questions and they take pride in this home. We have stayed at other VRBO's in the past but this house ranks on the top of our list. If you are considering it, you can book it without hesitation! Thanks Dennis and Ali!

Our stay at Dennis and Alis home was simply outstanding. It exceeded our expectations. The house was comfortably furnished. In fact it had the most comfortable chairs and couches that we had ever experienced. Dennis and Ali were the perfect hosts and ensured that we enjoyed our stay and ensured that we experienced no problems during our stay. We enjoyed our eight week stay and would highly recommend their home to other renters.

Amazing rental!

Beautiful home and great location! This rental is well furnished and very nice. It is off the beaten path but still close to tons of amenities and a major highway that will take you to all the major sites. Walking distance to a great beach also if you want to stay close to home. The owners are the most amazing people! We will use this rental again for our trips to FL!

A little bit of heaven

We had such a lovely time staying in such a perfect holiday home, you wake up every morning to brilliant sunshine. Breakfast in the garden each morning, the house has all you ever need to make your stay a relaxing time. No need to go out if you wish to just stay in and chill. But if you do you are right there in the middle of things just a sort walk to the beaches. And if you feel the child in you there are bicycles there for you to use even a tandem if you want your other half to do all the work. We will be coming back again for sure came home very relaxed shame we had to leave. We would recommend this beautiful home in a heartbeat but not to much as we want dates left for us to come again A big thank you Ali & Dennis for the chance to have a fantastic time away.

Tranquil Sunsets

My wife and I stayed at the villa between mid February through to the end of April We went to see the place before we rented it and had high expectations judging from the outside. We were certainly not disappointed. It was clean with a very well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, with a TV in all the rooms, easy to operate aircon, in fact everything we could wish for. The area is very quiet and peaceful, a great location for Sunset and Howard Park beaches, we actually walked to both but if you prefer you could cycle on the bicycles provided. The Pinellas Trail is not too far away withTarpon Sponge Docks and Wall Springs Park a very pleasant ride. Dennis & Ali were very friendly and accommodating and seemed to be on top of things. All in all we had a most enjoyable stay

Relaxation guaranteed!

Beautiful home and fully equipped with everything you need to make your relaxing vacation perfect! The location of this property is superb for walks or bike rides to Sunset beach. Tarpon Springs Greek community brings an abundance or authentic Greek food which is a must do, along with fresh seafood restaurants and waterside dining, perfect after a day at the beach. Very friendly area with lots of local things to do. We are looking forward to our next visit already!!

Tropical retreat

We found this tropical retreat to be a very clean, spacious, fully furnished home. This home has a beautiful, large back yard. We enjoyed the short walk to Sunset Beach in the evening. We experienced local favorite venues such as: Gandi's homemade like pies, Ozona Blue's restaurant and the organic coffee shop on Pinellas Avenue with shaded outside seating. Our hosts showed a strong desire to please their guests.

We spent the month of December in this beautiful 5 star property . This truly is a home away from home ! The property was spotlessly clean and the furnishings in first class condition. Everything needed was provided and we had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Tarpon Springs is a lovely area with many beautiful State Parks to explore and a lovely beach area nearby. Wonderful!

From the moment we entered this home, we were so pleased. The overview of the house is true to its word. The house was spacious, well equipped, and very clean. We were so comfortable through out our stay. The owners were so easy to work with. They answered all of our questions and we're readily available if we needed anything. Tropical Retreat

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three week vacation by Dennis and Ali's retreat getaway. Prior to arriving, there was communication back and forth which made for smooth and easy transition. The home looked better than the photos and it was very clean. You get a true feeling of home upon entering. Although there were only two of us, the home can accommodate six comfortably. Everything you would need was at the home from kitchenware to bedding to outdoor living. The home is conveniently located to both Sunset Beach and Howard State Park, only a few blocks away. Also, there are many dining options found in the area. Some of our favorites are Spirous, Ozona Blue, Ozona Pig and of course the Dining located at the Greek Sponge Docks located about 5 miles away. The proprietors, Dennis and Ali, are very helpful, kind, accomodating, and fun individuals.We look forward to renting from them again.

Group of paddling ladies

We are a group of ladies that head to Tarpon Springs every year for a training camp prior to our paddling season commencing. We were very pleased with this home as it was quite spacious and was well equipped with everything we needed. We loved the kitchen and the open concept layout with the kitchen / living room. Highly recommend this home and we will be sharing the information with other team mates who will be travelling to this location.We enjoyed the use of the bicycles to cycle down to Sunset Beach to watch some amazing sunsets. The owners were very accomodating to our group with an earlier check in & a later check due to our paddling schedule.

The house is really lovely,spacious,and because of the layout,ensured privacy when our kids were visiting.Great well equipped kitchen,again,well laid out,and the closet space is fabulous,lots of room for everyone.Large well equipped bathrooms,with stand up shower in the master with again lots of storage space.We also loved the attached garage with entry to the house via the garage,really simplifies loading and unloading.The Bayou area is beautiful for walking,and the very pretty Sunset Beach is just a few minutes away.We plan to return next year 2016,will be our 5th year with the owners who are always very helpful,kind and considerate.

Why they chose this property

It's simply a 'model' home – pristine, cozy, spacious and casual elegance throughout! From the moment we first visited this home, the 'WOW' factor caught our attention. A great 'home away from home' for us, and for all of our wonderful Guests. The nearby Tarpon Springs Greektown District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014 as Florida’s first official Traditional Cultural Property. It is significant for its tenacious continuity of traditional culture, extensive Greek infrastructure, and as the only Greek American community based on the sponge industry.

What makes this property unique

Travel & Leisure magazine recently included Tarpon Springs among the “most European cities” in the United States. The list included Boston, DC, and San Francisco, but anyone who has been to Tarpon would probably acknowledge that as far as resembling some portion of Europe, it is in a class by itself.

The area was inhabited by Greeks over a hundred years ago, predominantly from the Dodecanese islands of Kalymnos, Chalki, and Symi, as the new settlers were able to ply their trade of sponge diving – which they honed on the Greek islands – in the Gulf of Mexico.

Tarpon’s historic and picturesque Sponge Docks feature an array of fishing and sponging boats moored at the Anclote River, with a plethora of restaurants and gift shops, most emitting Greek music from their loudspeakers all day long, situated along the Docks’ main thoroughfare, Dodecanese Boulevard.

This idyllic, almost mythical community welcomes droves of tourists by day – most of them not of Greek descent – who populate the restaurants and gift shops, take tours on the boats, and walk along the Boulevard, enjoying maritime scents amid mild, tropical breezes. Nearby are the beach towns of Clearwater, Dunedin, and St. Petersburg.
