Tranquille (French for tranquil) is located between Blue Ridge and Blairsville, in the north Georgia mountains, immediately off of 4 lane highway Ga 515/76,. Privately located in a safe, gated subdivision yet less than 5 miles from shopping, restaurants, hiking, the Appalacian Trail and other mountain recreation. Only minutes to boating and great fishing on Lake Nottely, Lake Blue Ridge and Lake Chatuge.

The cottage has a gourmet, chef's kitchen and appliances; a living room w large flat-screen TV and fireplace; a plush bedroom w a queen memory foam mattress and large flat-screen TV; a grand marble bathroom with two sinks, a large, custom shower, and heated floors; washer and dryer; a glass porch with heated floors; a covered outdoor deck with a gas grill and table and chairs; beautiful, treed acreage w small stream.

The cabin description was spot on, extremely clean, close to good restaurants. It was conveniently located between Blue Ridge and Blairsville. The owners were great and gave good advice on local eats. The roads leading to the cabin was easy to drive and it was right off the main highway. We added this to our favorite list of places to stay. I highly recommend this cabin for anniversary trips and couples getaway.

Home Away From Home

Quiet secluded in the woods. It was a very Peaceful stay only Deer, bird’s & squirrels were seen on the Property that no and beautiful property. The Back porch was new addition to the house. It was nice to sit out back & just enjoyed the nature & the Property. the bathroom was very beautiful. The kitchen was up-to-date with modern standards and easy to access the tools needed to cook. Linda and I are very happy with the stay and we will return in the future.

I love all the whimsical yard art. Tranquille cottage is the perfect spot. It’s close enough to shopping and all kinds of activities or just a quiet relaxing retreat. We will be back!

Amazing Cottage

This cottage and property are amazing! The location could not be in a better place. Just a short drive to downtown Blairsville and Blue Ridge is only about 20 minutes away. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time!

The most wonderful vacation that one could have. Beautiful cabin, wonderful people, quiet area.

Billy and Lisa were wonderful host. Very easy process to rent. One of the best vacations we have ever had. Exceeded all expectations. We are definitely coming back!

This is one of the few places that is way more impressive in person than the pictures advertised. It's updated, clean, spacious, quiet, and a perfect getaway! The owners are wonderful to deal with and I will certainly be returning.

This is our second visit to this cottage. It’s the perfect place for a couples getaway. We love the fireplace, the under floor heating in the bathroom and the porch! We will be back!

Nice little cottage on a few acres ! The towels, linens and blankets did not feel crisp and clean ! Kitchen needed some organization! Comfortable sofas !

Hidden Gem!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Tranquille Cottage for four days at Christmas. We were not expecting this cottage to be so beautiful. Description does not do it justice! It is a MUST stay. Billy was wonderful checking in on us a few times to make sure we were warm enough (temperatures were in the single digits) and to see how everything was. So very sweet! The floors in the bathroom and on the porch are heated! The propane fireplace in the livingroom keeps the cottage perfectly toasty on cold nights. The entire cottage is beautiful updated. Thank you so much Billy for being a great host. We will definitely be staying at Tranquille Cottage in the future.

Very Unfortunate

To start, I will advise the owner to take down the surveillance cameras they have on the property. These surveillance devices record audio/video and is a violation of Georgia Law and against VRBO policy. These cameras are not disclosed on the VRBO site description and even though I disconnected them, my wife and I wondered (and checked to see) if there were any hidden cameras. We also had two unannounced visitors one morning that startled my wife as she walked the dog. Nobody wants to be recorded or visited by the property owners when you are paying for peace and quiet. Second, the restroom had not been cleaned, and it reeked of urine. I checked the guest logbook and saw that another couple had stayed in the cabin checking out the Friday prior to our arrival on Saturday. I had to purchase cleaners to get rid of the smell. Very unfortunate to say the least.

Just perfect

Kitchen well equipped, furniture so comfy (including the bed), great bathroom! Literally the only thing I would change is queen to king size bed (but just bc that’s what we’ve been sleeping in for 32 years). Great couples cottage and close to town. Will def come again!

Our home away from home

We had stayed here more than once and it is the ONLY place we stay when we travel to Blairsville and Blue Ridge. It is close to everything, easy to find and the place has so much charm. I would give it all the stars if I could!

If I could give it 10 stars I would

It is a beautiful little piece of paradise in the mountains. We saw white tail deer right outside while having our coffee. It is close to Blue Ridge and Ellijay, or you can just relax on the great porch :) I would recommend this cabin to anyone!!!!

Lisa and I are both semi-retired but seem busier than ever. We owned and operated Georgia Dance Conservatory in Marietta; she was the dancer/teacher and I changed the light bulbs. Now that we have retired from the dance business, when we are not with our children and grandchildren, Lisa and her sister create art pieces (Sisters Art) that they display and sell. In my "spare time", I sell and install flagpoles through my company U. S. Made Flagpoles (Mountain Flagpoles, Acadian Flagpoles, & Flags 4 Texas)..

Our biggest enjoyment, however, comes from living in the Blue Ridge mountains near Blairsville, GA. Not only is the pace slower, the temperature is lower. Thank God for these beautiful mountains!

Why they chose this property

Tranquille Cottage is named after the French word for tranquil. Enough said! My blood pressure drops when I drive into the driveway and I am betting yours will too. Located in the "Land of beautiful mountains and friendly people", Tranquille Cottage offers the solitude of the mountains and, at the same time, the convenience to all that the area has to offer. Within 30 minutes are the Appalachian Trail; numerous waterfalls and hiking trails; three glorious lakes and an untold number of creeks and rivers; Richard Russel Scenic Parkway; and Brasstown Bald, which is the highest point in Georgia. Within 15 minutes are wonderful restaurants, great shopping, and other special attractions.
