Nora's Yosemite retreat is the perfect vacation spot for enjoying your special visit to one of the greatest parks in the world, Yosemite. Nora's Yosemite retreat is one of two rental's on the property. Long term renter in studio apartment down stairs. Separate entrance and parking.

Nestled in the Sierra National Forest, you can choose from two of Yosemite's most popular entrances. Your retreat is surrounded by large pine and oak trees, some over 50 years old. Our comfortable rustic great room features a classic wood burning stove, comfortable seating, and an open floor plan to the dining area and kitchen. Despite the rustic charm, you can stay totally up-to-date with Wi-Fi, Or, curl up in front of the fire with a good book or a game with family and friends while dinner is cooking. Enjoy the game or race with our satellite flat screen TV, or enjoy our extensive DVD collection for a fun movie night. The dining table seats six between the kitchen and living area. And, the newly-remodeled kitchen features a gas range and everything you need to create a lovely vacation meal, including dish washer for easy clean up. Our full size washer and dryer is in a separate room just off the kitchen and easily accessible.

Adjoining the great room there is a large bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bath. In the living room is a queen size sofa sleeper. Half bath available.
Our great room has two sliding glass doors, one opening up to your outdoor deck with bar-b-q and one that opens to your private all weather enclosed deck with table and chairs for dining, enjoying a glass of wine, playing games or planning your next Yosemite adventure.

Beautiful, Comfortable, Peaceful Home

The home was very clean, comfortable, well furnished and in a very quiet and peaceful natural setting. Beautiful balcony, screened porch and lots of trees.

The place was perfect for our Yosemite vacation.

The BBQ and loaded kitchen got our lifestyle perfect. We spent each evening on the decks having drinks while we listened to nature and watched the stars. We recommend this place to anyone.

Nice place to stay for a Yosemite vacation

The house is quiet and clean and has a large kitchen which was perfect for preparing our meals before and after our day hikes in Yosemite. The bed is comfortable and the neighborhood is secluded. It took us about an hour to get to the park entrance but you’d be hard pressed to find a closer VRBO of this quality. Would recommend!

Tolle Unterkunft in traumhafter Natur

Wir waren mit unseren Kindern im Rahmen unseres Road-Trips in dieser tollen Wohnung. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Ein besonderes Highlight ist der Balkon/Terrasse. Wir haben es sehr genossen morgens beim Frühstück den Tieren zusehen und die Ruhe zu genießen.

Yosemite Trip

The cabin was so lovely in the morning. I admit I got a bit scared driving at night through the winding roads into the dark woods. It took awhile to get to and from Yosemite (1hr 30), but also gave us a chance to see so many other places and sites. The cabin was generously stocked with just about every supply you’d need, the basics+. Nora and Frank were kind and responsive when we reached out. We were frequented with a somewhat eggy smell that appeared to come from the water. Besides that, each day we saw a new set of animals. The hummingbirds each morning, wild turkeys, deer. Truly magical mornings. I loved the cabin and how close together it brought my wife and I. Thank you.

Stay in Mariposa

Cabin was cute and clean, easy to find. The area is beautiful. The host was friendly and informative regarding Yosemite, however failed to mention they live on the ground level below the cabin. This would have been nice to know beforehand since we were hoping for a private getaway. Also the listing makes it appear closer to Yosemite than it really is, but the drive is beautiful and our overall stay was nice.

Perfect retreat

It is a perfect retreat but a bit far out some winding roads but then again all roads here are winding! After a long day, it seemed to take forever to find but the house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were available to answer our 1 question and all was good! We enjoyed our time here!

Cozy Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed the mountain cabin! After a long day of hiking, it was great to come back to a warm and welcoming cabin. It had everything we needed, and it was convenient to Mariposa. We found several nice restaurants in town, and the grocery store was great. Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay!

Wonderful place!

Great deck, homey feeling, well stocked with kitchen and cleaning supplies. You should know that you rent the top floor of the building. The bottom floor inhabitant is quiet and we never saw them in our 5 day stay, but it would have been nice to know before. About 1.5 hour drive to Yosemite Valley and the same to Mariposa Grove. Was a great base camp for an exploration of Yosemite. Drive to and from was scenic! We saw wildlife near the house such as deer, quail, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, etc. Bears have been spotted in the area before but we didn’t see any in our stay. Overall great place! Renter was kind in the brief phone call I had with her.

Amazing home with amazing hosts!

We were warmly greeted from the owners via VRBO messaging as well as sharing a thoughtful phone call once we got to the property. During the phone call and with the help of a binder full of local suggestions for travel/food, we made the most of our trip with plenty of comfort and memories made within the property. The kitchen was spacious for making meals together with my girlfriend without stepping on each others toes. The living room is cozy while offering an escape to a beautiful sunroom which was relaxing to sit in after miles of hiking at Yosemite. We were very content with our bedroom for comfort and storage and the bathrooms served their purpose as expected. The location of the home is beautiful and immerses you in the countryside before preparing to visit beautiful Yosemite National Park. Thank you again for the wonderful stay!

Peaceful Comfort

My husband and I spent 4 nights here as a base for visiting Yosemite. We really enjoyed this cabin in a secluded peaceful setting. It is a bit of a drive outside Mariposa so we took the advice of stopping for groceries in town before our arrival. The space and bed are very comfortable. We really appreciated the large kitchen as we prepared most of our meals here. Took advantage of the nice cooler on hand when we packed lunches and water for the days spent in Yosemite. It is a bit of a drive to Yosemite but a beautiful drive and we didn't mind. We just got up a little earlier to head out since that was our main objective. Felt that this cabin was very affordable and well worth it. Highly recommend!

A peaceful place

Wenn man nach einem erholsamen Ort sucht, ist man hier genau richtig. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in diesem sehr gut ausgestattete Haus genossen, vor allem als Großstadtbewohner. Wer den Ort als täglichen Startpunkt zum Yosemite nutzen möchte, sollte wissen, dass man doch recht lange braucht, um sein Ziel zu erreichen: 1 Stunde bis zum Eingang El Portal und 1 Stunde 20 bis Mariposa Grove. Nichtsdestotrotz, das Haus und sein Ambiente machen den Fahrstress wett.
