Fall Break

Amazing week at the beach!

We had a wonderful week! The proximity to the beach was lovely, just a quick walk, maybe 3 minutes! There were a couple of cleaning issues and some maintenance items that needed to be addressed. We notified the rental company, Oversee, so hopefully that will all be taken care of for future guests! The condo was well stocked with cooking essentials. All in all a very enjoyable trip!

There was plenty of space for 4 adults and 4 kids. The condo is not gulf front but it feels like it is. It has great views of the gulf. It is closer and an easier walk to the beach than some gulf front places we have stayed at in the area. We would most definitely stay here again

The sliding glass door to the balcony didn't work great, but that's what we anticipated given the other reviews. The water on our stretch of the beach was coffee brown, but it was not that color east or west. I believe it had to do with the lake next to the property and all the rain causing the brown water to end up in the gulf.

Our stay felt like we were staying in an old La Quinta. Beds were horrible. Living room couch looked like it was 20 years old. One of our bicycles had a flat. We called the 800 number provided to have it fixed but no one ever showed up.

DISAPPOINTED 😕

Condo wasn't clean. Beach access was HORRIBLE due to ALL OF THE PRIVATE PROPERTIES surrounding the complex!Sliding doors were VERY difficult to open and close. One sliding door handle was broken. The rental cost wasn't worth it. Don't know if my family would stay in this area again.

Good location

There is a new building being built that blocks the full beach view portrayed in the photo. The condo floors need to be cleaned better especially behind the doors. The handle on the glass door has a metal piece sticking out that is dangerous. The master bedroom headboard bangs on the wall when you move. Many of the refrigerator shelves were missing. There is a slope from the kitchen to the den that is concerning.

They were pleasant to deal with and very responsive to maintenance issues that came up during our stay. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and as described online. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was particularly well equipped. There is excellent access to the beautiful beach but new construction just across the street now blocks the view of the water. Neither of the outdoor pools is heated in the winter months. The sliding doors from the living room and from the bedroom out to the balcony are almost non-functioning and there is no screen on the living room sliding door.

The unit was close to the beach and had a good view of the ocean. The furniture was dirty and old. Those green chairs have seen better days. The wall in the kitchen was dirty. The beds were VERY uncomfortable. This condo lacked any personality and was very dated. The door to the balcony was very hard to open, and would have liked to have a small table out there to enjoy the view.

Spring Break 2017

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property description was very accurate and the rental was well appointed with everything you could need. Oversee even provided some things that I have not had in other rentals including, liquid dish soap, a few days worth of ground coffee, shampoo and conditioner in each bathroom, etc. The property was clean on arrival, we actually were able to get in a few hours early with a call to Oversee! The only suggestions would be new patio furniture (the ocean air is taking it's toll on the chairs) and a new master bedroom mattress. The heater for the main pool was not functioning on the first day so I called Oversee that afternoon and it was fixed by the next morning. Overall we had a great vacation at Sea La Vie!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location, the rooms, the beach everything was totally awesome except for one mishap. When we get there we couldn't get into the door due to some new locks being used they were quick to call back and get us into the room. We left for the evening to eat and shop and on our return the numbers given wouldn't work again so it took 3 hours to get into the room. Needless to say I was not happy with that response time. When finally given access they never offered to make any kind of repayment or less payment for the mishap which truly disappointed me to no end. The next 2 days went without hitch and the stay was very enjoyable. Just wish they would have made some concessions for the late night mishap for their lock system.....

Enjoyment

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of Sea La Vie was great, beautiful views each day from our balcony. The main sliding door off the living room was difficult to open and close, we mainly used the door in the master bedroom as it has a handle to open and close the slider. The burners on the stove didn't work very well. We did use the front right burner for any cooking needs we had. I felt the property was clean and our maintenance issue of the burnt out light bulbs was quickly addressed by Claire and Tom with Oversee Rentals. I would recommend a stay at Sea La Vie to anyone, just make sure you can climb the 3 flights of stairs. Some may find this difficult with luggage, groceries, etc. I had not been to the Santa Rosa Beach area in over 12 years and was totally in awe of the area - always Loved the Beach, miss it daily. Once in a lifetime experience while we were there visiting with family and seeing all the changes and growth of the area.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented 2 condos for family members. My unit was through oversea. My unit was what I would rate as updating needed. Floor was dirty not sure when it had been mopped, apparently not prior to our arrival. Sofa was most uncomfortable and sat so low was hard to get up from a sitting position. Master bedroom bed was loud and terrible mattress. Dishwasher did not work or we couldn’t get it to start. Overall size of unit was a good size. Door to balcony was extremely hard to open and close and if you didn’t pay attention to the door it would not close completely leaving a gap letting air in or to escape. No handles on sliding doors, one was half broken and the other had been broken off leaving a sharp area of metal that someone could get hurt on.

Find another place

The location of the condo has great access to the beach, but the sections of the beach that are not privately owned are small. There are about 15 yards right when you walk onto the beach that you are able to sit in between the privately owned areas. The next closest spot is about 5 homes down. The condo is very run down, and the furniture needs to be replaced. They have painted over chips, but it needed to be sanded, and painted, so the paint is chipping inside, as well as on the railing on the deck. The deck has 3 uncomfortable plastic chairs, and a small table that is falling apart. The sofa is dirty and needs to be replaced. The sheets on the pull-out sofa were dirty. The floors were nasty, and we had to wear shoes the entire time. One of us got a hot shower the first night, and then there was no hot water. I called the management immediately, but they did not send someone to repair it for 3 more days, but by this time I had figured out that the washing machine cannot be run if you want to have hot water, so I told them to wait to come when we left the following day. I know that it is probably very easy to keep this place rented due to it being beach side, and that the area is so busy, but I do not think that anyone would rent this particular condo twice.

We did report the hot water issue and had a plumber out to address rather quickly. Unfortunately, they were unable to find any issues in need of repair, therefore were unable to be of additional assistance. Housekeeping concerns are being addressed to prevent future issues and we are always happy to make recommendations regarding any furniture concerns brought to our attention. The beach access reserved for this condo is quite nice, approximately 2+ acres of beautiful beach reserved for Beachside Villa guests. It is a quick 3–4-minute walk or you can take the golf cart shuttle service offered. In addition to the private access, you always have the option of visiting any public access point along 30A that you prefer. It was a pleasure working with you and we do hope that you reach out if we can assist you in finding the perfect vacation rental for your next stay on 30A.

Great beach, mediocre condo

The beach access is the reason I will come back to these condos. The beach at eastern lake is amazing! Great for kiddos. Golf cart offered (with wristband - not left with our condo) was nice. The condo had several cosmetic issues - baseboards falling off in kitchen with nails exposed were extremely dangerous for small children. Some peeling paint. The patio door was extremely hard to open and everyone tripped coming in and out. The floor plan was nice and fairly spacious but seating was lacking for the number of bedrooms - one small couch and 2 chairs plus the dining room table, not really any area to Lounge and hang out. However the location was great - could walk to get donuts and coffee at Kahve and cream, close to old Florida fish house, very close to the beach and the private access for our condo was a little further but was worth it. The amenities such as pool and tennis courts were fine. I would return to this area but not sure if I would stay in this exact condo again if other options were available.

great stay!

fantastic multigenerational family vacation! plenty of space for our group of 9 (6 adults & 3 teens). very close to beach access & clean pools.
