About this property
Delightful romantic lakeland getaway
This delightful traditional Lakeland cottage ticks all the boxes for a romantic getaway or a relaxing bolt hole and yet is only a short stroll to the bustle of Bowness village and the shores of Lake Windermere.
Fellside Cottage’s original features have been effortlessly brought together with all the modern touches you would expect in a 4 star holiday cottage. The attention to detail, personal touches and high standard allows visitors with everything they require for a relaxing stay in the lakes. Fellside certainly has a 'country cottage' feel about it.
The entrance is into a stylishly designed living room with exposed beams and a wood burning stove for those cosy winter evenings. The kitchen is well equipped with all those modern conveniences and has a breakfast bar positioned at the dividing "King post" so you may enjoy TV over a lazy breakfast. A bright and spacious dining area, perfect for those romantic meals also has french doors which open out onto rear patio area and summerhouse, perfect sun trap for those warmer evenings to enjoy a glass of something chilled or dinner al fresco.
Upstairs to a quaint bedroom with quality soft furnishings and linens, kingsize bed and calming decor and the neighbouring bathroom has a shower over the double ended bath which is perfect for those long soaks after a day on the fells.
Parking is directly next to the cottage and to the rear is ample sitting out space as well as the pretty stone built summerhouse which houses patio furniture for outside dining.
A stay at Fellside Cottage affords visitors an ideal base to explore all the Lake District has to offer as well as the convenience of having such a varied selection of restaurants and pubs just a few minutes walk away. The 'home from home' feel of this cottage has visitors either not want to leave or lucky for us, already planning their return visit.
As well as a National Park, the Lake District received worldwide recognition in 2017 when we were granted World Heritage Status by UNESCO! Something we are extremely proud of.
