As perfect as a Wrightsville Beach sunset, this stunning custom home will sweep you off your feet. Atlantis is a lovely sound front home at the North End of Wrightsville Beach. Enter on the ground level to find a sitting room great for children. A large flat screen TV and Wii gaming system along with two double futons will ensure modern comforts. Just outside is the large outdoor shower and access to a side yard area, only a stone’s throw away from the beach access.

The main level consists of a modern living room with a 50” Flat Screen TV and a gourmet kitchen for the chef in the family. Enjoy ocean and sound views while you cook up some great local seafood on the gas range. Take your meal to one of two sitting areas in the dining room or out onto the covered or uncovered sound front porches. Watch the sunset each night with family and friends and relax in the hammock or swings!

With three bedrooms on the upper level, all with fabulous views, this home is sure to please. All three bedrooms upstairs have king beds. The private Master Suite has a large Jacuzzi tub and access to a covered viewing deck which looks out over the sound and Intracoastal Waterway. The fourth bedroom is on the main level and can be used as TV room or bedroom and includes a queen sleeper sofa and a wonderful sound view. Pets are not permitted due to homeowner's allergies.

The only complaint I have is the rental agents inability to verify if a grill was at the house. The pictures show a grill, but we were told to bring our own grill or rent one. We brought our grill and we did not need it. It's unfortunate an agent couldn't verify the grill so we could have avoided taking valuable car space with a grill.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent location and house but we were unable to sleep late due to an alarm clock which sounded every morning at 8:10 am. We were unable to shut it off because it was in a locked closet in the master bedroom. We called the rental agency and they never corrected the situation or called us back as promised.

We thought the view was one-in-a-million, with everyone pulling out their cameras to photograph the sunset every evening. The house is easy to live in, the kitchen is very well stocked with cooking amenities. The beach access is an easy walk, although not a stone's throw as listed in the property description. The house was not particularly clean, we had to clean the refrigerator and wash a few blankets when we arrived. But still, we would rent this house again if we could afford it!

There were six adults and two children in our party and there was plenty of space. The house was roomy with big windows to give an airy feel to it. There was a killer view over the marsh land and a new dock that went a few hundred feet out. The kitchen was well appointed with almost everything we needed. The location was close to beach and just a few minutes from shops and restaurants. On the negative side, there was an ant problem. Not horrible but enough to be annoying. Also, the water had a sulphur smell although the ice and fridge water were filtered and odor free. This house was listed as being “enhanced cleaned”, a step above your average cleaning. We found it not to be the case and spent some time cleaning it ourselves. The slipcovers on the couches and chairs needed to be cleaned or changed out.

Reviewer Comments: We LOVED the fully appointed gourmet, granite top kitchen in this house that features a truly Better Than Beachfront, direct on the sound experience. We watched great blue heron perching, pelicans diving, fish jumping out of the water out back, and took family pictures in front of unforgettable sunsets on the back deck. We dined on fresh seafood from Mott's fresh seafood market down the road, cooked on the outside grill, and ordered from Topsail Steamer that's about a mile away, for an all inclusive low country boil (they even included the pot to cook it all in and the paper to put on top of the outdoor dinner table). This amazing house was steps from public access to pristine white sand beaches for boogie boarding and surfing and quiet sun drenched days on wide beaches. The kids used the downstairs tv room for their toys and movies, and the ladies sipped frozen pina coladas inside while the guys smoked cigars and sipped scotch on the back deck, winding down after fun-filled days. North End of Wrightsville Beach is one of a kind hidden gem for families. We even rented out a full movie theater in Wilmington for one evening for a special night out with the kids for under $200!

The house itself is roomy and pleasant, if a bit stark, with its uninterrupted white/beige decor. We weren't there for the color scheme anyway. The kitchen is nicely set up. There are bikes provided, but they were in marginal condition, with some faulty derailleurs. This is one of the few houses without a pier into the marsh, but I believe they might be in the process of building one, since there were surveyors there for a few days. Perhaps then they will supply kayaks, which I would have enjoyed having access to.

Best Wrightsville Beach House

We have been renting condos and beach houses on Wrightsville Beach for over 35 years. This house was the best. First and foremost, the view of the marsh is spectacular, especially at sunset. Most of the back of the house has large windows so that there are many opportunities to admire the view. We had quite a lot of bad weather, but the house made up for the times we couldn’t go on the beach. Secondly, the house was spotless and had a fully equipped kitchen. This was perfect for our family. We cooked two times but then did take out for the rest of the nights. The deck is huge and we ate some of our meals out there. Another plus is that there are two refrigerators and a separate ice maker. It was a great vacation and would highly recommend this house.

We live in Wilmington and came to see the property 2 weeks before the wedding to be sure it was perfect and it was. When we got to the house on 10/9/20 the lawn was pulled up in several areas. Ian did call a lawn service that came and covered most of the holes but it was still unsightly for some of our photos. Upon leaving we ran out of room to put our small fire pit( that we did not end up using) in the truck. We dropped off a load in town and came right back and somebody had taken it. May have been the cleaners or just a random. Other than those two situations we had a great time and the house was perfect for our small intimate wedding. Thank you so much! Jill and Joe O’Donnell

Great location on the North side of shell island provides easy beach access and grand sunsets. The home was well equipped for family dinners and the garage provided ample space to store beach chairs and bikes. The large deck was a favorite gathering area. Cons were Tap water quality and pull out couch mattress. The tap water had a strong sulfer odor and taste, and gray fragments and dust we found in glasses. We purchased drinking water from the grocery store. Minor inconvenience to an otherwise great vacation.

This home was available and had minimal damage. I had to pay extra for this house above what my rental price for the two condos that had to be canceled. I was disappointed that the home had some water damage/ mold/mildew in the downstairs room. So we lost the use of one bedroom for our large family. We made do with what we had but were very disappointed that the owner did not fairly compensate us for the loss of two beds for the entire week.

The house is generally very nice with beautiful views of the waterway and marshes. It's a theee story walk up to carry luggage to the bedrooms. The public beach access is relatively close but requires a bit of a walk along the road. Based on the rental price and limited number of actual beds, I'm not sure this is really worth the price.

Atlantis proved the perfect property with spectacular views of the Sound, Mason's Inlet and the Intercostal Waterway. Our houseguests from Kentucky loved Atlantis, especially the beach accessibility. We felt right at home in the lovely master suite. The folks at Intracoastal Realty couldn't have been more accommodating. Even though we've moved inland, don't be surprised if we rent Atlantis in the future for friends and family.

Not worth the time or money!

Reviewer Comments: Beware of the stalking owners and lack of toilet paper, and the closed garage that you cannot use!! We had planned for a beautiful sunset wedding ceremony with our immediate family, but the right side garage was locked and unable to accommodate some family member's cars, so 3 cars were parked in the grass for a few hours on our wedding evening. We had an on-call property manager call us 20 times in a row (without leaving a message) from a "caller id unknown" number to sit there and be rude and say the owner is across the street and mad we have cars in the yard. Needless to say, they ruined the rest of our stay as we felt we were being watched like hawks by the owners. Second off, we were not having a raging party and had to send the family members off while we had just cut into our wedding cake...not very fair to them or us. I forgot to mention the clogged toilet when we got there and the one day's worth of toilet paper, which they fail to mention on the website, along with the locked-up garage. On our last morning, the cleaning crew shows up at 9:30am (which checkout is 10am) and asks us how much longer we are going to be because the owners are coming in next?! We were already tired of hearing about these "owners" who seem to be just as rude as the rental agency. We complained to management on the day of checkout and only got an "I'm sorry" and no discounts or anything for our troubles or their unprofessionalism. The only good thing about this place was the beautiful views from the back deck...still wasn't worth the time or money!

My heart burn did not involve the property but rather Intracoastal. When we met with the rental agent, we were told that the linens were included, however, when the contract was sent, the linens were not included. We did have to rent linens and this last minute change in pricing was very unprofessional. I would rent this home again but not through Intracoastal.
