A few dates remain for the 2025 summer season to enjoy a vacation beach rental with a newer Master ensuite and a large family Room for gathering and enjoyment on your next vacation.

Please feel free to contact us with questions about the Chillax Inn at Lewes Beach. One of the owners is a licensed Delaware real estate professional.

Come visit Lewes Beach, where you will have a choice of beaches (bay or ocean);historic sights, and quaint, strollable downtown; tax-free shopping; fishing boat charters, boat rentals, boat launch ramps, shore fishing & crabbing, miles of bike-friendly roads and trails….and you even have the ability to take the Cape May/Lewes Ferry over to Cape May, NJ for the day!

The Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, tax-free shopping, water parks, and amusement rides are less than 10 miles away!

Fresh, cozy 7-room ranch sleeps up to 9, just 400 feet from the gentle sandy beach on the Delaware Bay. A safe, shallow drop off with no rip tides, 3 miles of walkable clean sand and tidal pools to dabble in. Or for big surf and miles of unspoiled Atlantic Ocean shoreline, bike or drive 2 miles to vast Cape Henlopen State Park.

House has a spotless eat-in kitchen, living room, screened porch, and enclosed sun porch. A Convertible 'great room' has a new sleeper sofa and couch, along with its' own private full bath with shower and tub, and an outside entrance!

Master Bedroom has a queen bed and will have a newly appointed ensuite bath in 2019!

2 Bedrooms share the hallway full bathroom with shower.

*** Bed Linens, Towels, and other rentals available upon request through our cleaning service.

Central AC; 3 New Flat Screen TVs

A well-stocked kitchen - utensils, pots, pans, dishwasher, and a washer & new dryer.

Outside includes a gas grill and an enclosed outside shower (hot/cold) to use during the warm season!

Accommodates up to 9 people (including children).

Tenants bring (or rent) their own bed linens, towels, and beach gear; also bring soap/detergent/paper goods for kitchen and bath. ***Our cleaning service offers very reasonable linen rentals.***

The Chillax Inn at Lewes Beach has 4 new low, reclining beach chairs and 2 high sitting beach chairs.

Great fall short stay

We had a great time at this property! The weather wasn't great during our stay, but that's to be expected in the fall. The location was perfect - so close to the beach and not too far from the center of Lewes. We'd definitely stay again!

Incredible location

We had a wonderful time at the chillax inn! The house was spacious and had numerous outdoor or screened in porch areas. Everything we needed was there including numerous beach chairs. We had only a very short walk to the beach which we typically had to ourselves (early May). It's an easy drive into town for shopping and restaurants or down to the yacht club for beautiful sunsets, and not far to other beaches like Rehoboth. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely house near a lovely beach

You can tell that the entire house has been recently renovated. It's not a huge house but has plenty of living space. We enjoyed spending evenings in the enclosed patio. The beach is just a 2 minute walk away. If you've never been to Lewes beach, it's inside a bay and the small waves are perfect for little kids to play in.

Great home to spent time with family

My family truly enjoyed are time spent at this home. The new owners were very accommodating answering any questions prior to are arrival and everything was wonderful when we arrived. The home is very comfortable and homey, plenty of room for everyone. Loved the screened in porch especially. The home is very close to the beach, and just a short trip to town and Cape Henlopen park. We are planning on returning next year.

Quiet location near the bay.

This was our first stay in this newly renovated house in Lewes Beach. The house was spacious, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. The kitchen was extremely well equipped with plentiful tableware, flatware, and seating. Bicycles and beach chairs were available were reading on the beach or exploring downtown or trails. The screened in porch was our favorite place to enjoy morning coffee.We definitely plan to rebisit the Chillax Inn Thanks, Karen and Rob!

Final Week of Summer at Lewes Beach

My family, including 3 grandchildren, spent an amazing week at Chillax Inn at Lewes Beach. The description of the unit was accurate, and the single-floor layout worked great with the toddler. The unit was well-appointed, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The house was a five-minute walk from the beach, which made it very convenient to go back and forth as needed. We also enjoyed nightly meals on the screened in porch, with a table large enough to seat the entire family comfortably. We plan to return again next year!

Chiillin at the beach

The home is fantastic! Spacious and comfortable. There were 5 of us 6 to 64. All the games and our grandson played a few. We were pleasantly surprised to find all the goodies in the shed. The beach cart was great! An evening playing cornhole was full of laughter. The walking distance to the beach is short Sitting and relaxing in the evenings on the deck well, relaxing! We truly enjoyed our stay and were very fortunate with the spectacular weather.

Charming Cottage

This cottage was clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The kitchen is well equipped, the furniture is very comfortable and the beds are worth a thousand Zzzz's. The lay-out of the cottage is great - having both a family room and living room, with nice flat screen TVs, makes entertainment easy. The screen porch and front porch were relaxing places to read and have a glass of wine. The location is wonderful - short walk to the beach, short drive to the State Park and Ferry and either a moderate walk or short drive to the 2nd Street action. The friendly owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. They provide great tips for activities and attractions in the area. We are looking forward to many return trips!

Just what we needed!

During probably one of the worst weather weekends in the month of May we had a great time! This home was just what we needed when the sun was out we were able to walk to the water, When it was cloudy we went into town! Our hosts were amazingly accommodating. This home was beautifully appointed and had plenty of space for good friends to relax and catch up! (Not sure if the neighboring home is still under construction. The early start by those workers put a damper on “sleeping in” - good to check on if you’re interested in this property)

Fantastic in all ways.

We loved everything about Chillax Inn and would highly recommend it. The online pics don’t do it justice. The house is spacious and well-appointed, exceptionally clean, and professionally run. Everything you could want is there, with different seating and gathering areas, beach toys, a quick walk to the beach. It’s in a great neighborhood where it’s easy to get to shops, restaurants, the ferry. It’s wonderful. Thank you, Karen and Rob.

Perfect Family Vacation

We absolutely loved staying at the Chillax Inn! My husband and I brought our boys (5,3 yo) for the week and couldn’t have been happier. The weather was cool because we went early in the season, but the boys spent so much time on the screened in porch - it was such a perfect extension of the house. Everything was clean, updated, and we were incredibly comfortable there. The best part? It is SO close to the beach! We walked back and forth so frequently with no complaints RA from my 3yo’s little legs. Karen and Rob made the rental process so easy and we’re kind enough to message us and make sure we were all settled in. Overall a great experience - we hope to stay there again in the future!!

Absolutely perfect stay - we can’t wait to go back!

We recently stayed at Karen and Rob’s beautiful home with our three year old and newborn. The house was spotless and well appointed (my husband is an avid cook and had everything he needed in the kitchen). The ranch style layout was also perfect for kids (no child proofing needed) and had ample space for sleeping and hanging out. We loved the screened porch and spent every evening there. The house is literally steps to a beautiful, pristine beach with a sandbar and gentle waves (again perfect for kids). We loved the outdoor shower after a morning at the beach too! Karen and Rob are fantastic hosts and we are counting down the days til we can go back!

Chillax Inn is a fantastic beach house. The owners' attention to detail is remarkable and the house is spotless. I especially appreciated their precautions and thoughtfulness about safety during the pandemic. We were completely at ease. The only downside was having to leave!

Very nicely equipped.

I found the house clean and uncluttered but thoroughly equipped. The kitchen was loaded with virtually everything we needed. Much better than most rental kitchens. Even the beach equipment available was just right. We met the owners and they were charming and completely accomodating.

Have been coming here for several years and love it. The beach is a short walk and has the best sandbar in the Lewes Bay. Spacious cottage on the inside with everything you need. Extremely clean. Owners are great to work with and add upgrades each year. Reasonably priced.

Great house in a great town

This was one of the nicest vacations ever! We had never been to Lewes Beach and we just fell in love with the entire area. The house is great. Very comfortable and has everything you need or want. Nice quiet neighborhood as well. We especially enjoyed the screen porch where we ate all our meals. Very comfy sofas in the back room (wish I had them at home!). A special bonus was being able to see both sunrise and sunset at the beach, which really is only 200 steps (or less). We brought our bikes and rode the Junction & Breakwater trail to Rehoboth Beach one day and then to the state park a few of the other days. We also rode into town each day. This is a great place to ride bikes and you can rent them in town if you don't bring your own. It was also fun to just ride around the nearby neighborhoods in the evenings. Cape Henlopen State Park is a real gem. We have vacationed many times at the Outer Banks in N. Carolina, and we found the Delaware beaches to be every bit as nice. Very friendly people, too. We loved this place and can't wait to come back. Thank you Rob and Karen - we had a great time!

Great family vacation house.

We all greatly enjoyed our week at the Chillax Inn. The owners, Rob and Karen, were incredibly helpful throughout the whole rental and have thought of everything for their guests' enjoyment The cottage is perfectly located being just a short stroll to one of the nicest parts of Lewes Beach. We have rented in Lewes for over 10 years and everyone in the family agreed that this was their favorite of the cottages we have rented. We particularly enjoyed the screened in porch which was perfect for family dinners. Our teenagers liked the back family room which was well equipped with a nice TV and very comfortable couches The gas grill was used frequently as were the beach chairs. The nice outdoor shower was much appreciated after a long day at the beach. The cottage was incredibly clean and comfortable. We hope to return next year.

My husband and I enjoyed our relaxing stay at this home. The owners were very responsive to any questions that we had prior to arrival. The home was very comfortable and made us feel that we were welcomed. The lay out of the home was great; given privacy to all who visited us while we were there. Home is close to Second Street where most of the activity is located. Lewes is just a great family town for all ages. We are looking forward to our stay in 2016.

Wonderful house for our Family Reunion

My Family stayed here in 2012--before current owners--and it is a great house. Very clean, modern, lots of room and amenities, close to Lewes Beach. Perfect vacation beach house, we plan on staying here again in the Fall of 2015. Have talked to new owners who have updated some aspects but the house was fine as is; and they seem very nice. Great location. Not far from Cape Henlopen where we like to bike to, so great for bicyclists, and the State Park is wonderful to bike around, besides have some of the best beaches on the East Coast.

Our families have been vacationing on the East Coast for well over 40 years, and have especially enjoyed spending many summers in Lewes! Lewes is a place that is quaint and within about an hour of our home in Middletown, DE. For our family of five, Lewes Beach has provided our children the opportunity to relax with their friends, while mom & dad don't have to incessantly worry about all the hustle and bustle of larger vacation spots. The kids also enjoy taking a trip to either Cape Henlopen or Rehoboth Beach, depending upon what suits their desires. We hope that you will begin creating similar memories here in Lewes Beach!

Our beach house brings the beach to you and let's you check your worries at the door! We pride ourselves in making our rental properties just like home. That is no different here at the beach! As new owners, we made changes to the house during our first year, including fresh paint throughout, new flooring in the Family/Sun Room and Front Porch, flat screen TVs, and updating the master 1/2 bath. We continue to make updates to the furniture and facilities every year!
