Fully-Renovated 2 BR, 2 Bath 'A Place at the Beach III' Resort Condo, Unit K366

Welcome to “A Place At The Beach III”, Atlantic Beach’s premier vacation resort! In addition to the beautiful, wide, white sand beach and gorgeous views, enjoy numerous amenities included at no additional charge at this family-friendly complex.
'Lorna Dune' is a third floor 2 BR/2 BA unit with ocean and sound views from the balcony. The master bedroom features a queen bed, a private bathroom and private entrance to the balcony. The second (front) bedroom has large, sturdy bunk beds (full over queen with stairs instead of a ladder). Up to six guests can sleep comfortably in this unit.

The fully-equipped kitchen has a washer and dryer. The former wet bar in the living area is now a workstation with electrical outlets/USB ports. Free wireless broadband internet is available.

A Place At The Beach III offers the best amenities of any resort on the Crystal Coast. The oceanfront location of the resort allows immediate access to the beach without crossing any streets. The large outdoor pool offers a wade-in area for toddlers as well as the only giant water slide in Atlantic Beach. A central courtyard also features an updated kid's playground and a large grassy area as well as outdoor charcoal grills. An indoor pool with hot tub and a deck with gas grills are only a few steps from this unit. The resort also includes lighted tennis courts, cornhole, shuffleboard, 9-hole mini-golf course, ping-pong table (all necessary sports equipment is available at the office), and an outdoor hot tub. The knowledgeable resort staff are on the premises to help with any questions you may have.

The surrounding area offers lots of additional attractions. Morehead City and Beaufort are a short drive away. Beautiful, historic Fort Macon State Park is within walking distance. The beautiful NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is a 15-minute drive. Surf, pier, and charter fishing (inlet and deep sea) are available year-round. Fresh local seafood is served at many nearby restaurants and fish markets. Grocery stores, shopping centers and a movie theatre are all within a few minutes' drive.

The location is great, with easy beach and pool access. The unit was spacious and had everything we needed. We had plenty of room with four people. The host was responsive and communicated instructions well in advance. We were able to check-in easily after hours. This will be our go-to place for beach trips!

Victoria has put so much thought into creating a perfect beach vacation place. Every little detail made our stay just wonderful! The kitchen has everything you can think of to make meals and snacks etc! The beds are prob most comfortable I’ve ever slept in on a vacation! She’s an outstanding host as well❤️

A mini vacation at Atlantic Beach

This property was exactly as described online. It was clean and comfortable, and perfectly arranged for our family of four. The mattresses were super comfortable. Both the pool and the beach were just a short walk away. The best part was how well stocked the rental was. Linens, coffee filters, soaps and detergents- everything was provided and we just needed to show up. Made our mini vacation super easy!

We LOVE the Lorna Dune

Our family loves staying at Lorna Dune and APATB. No matter the weather, there is always something to do at the resort. My husband and I needed a cool and dreary day Sunday to just relax and chill in the condo and later in the hot tub. The rest of the week was amazing with weather so we enjoyed the entertainment at the outdoor pool and fun on the beach. We can't wait to be back next year!

WONDERFUL STAY!

We enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Victoria's Lorna Dune condo. Everything was decorated nicely, super clean and very accommodating. The kitchen was well stocked and having a washer and dryer in the unit was a HUGE blessing. We were a big fan of the comfy sectional sofa since it was a roomy enough for all of us to sit comfortably and spread out. The location of the condo was super close to the elevators for unloading as well as a very quick access to the pool and the beach. A Place At The Beach is an awesome property and super great for families with kids. We love the family friendly environment and will be coming back!

Spring Stay at the Beach

Just as advertised. Nice location with view of the ocean from the balcony. Very clean with everything you would need to have a great vacation. Veronica had very good communications with us and answered our questions. Close to restaurants and a short trip to historic Beaufort which is a gem. Also, a short hike to Ft. Macon State Park and a longer one to the Civil War fort which is nicely preserved with great exhibits. The property has 2 pools one indoor and outdoor for those who would rather not go to the beach. I would suggest that people, especially with children, check the large pool and slide opening dates if that is important to you. I assume it is always open “in-season” but was not in mid-April during spring break. Overall Veronica’s condo and the Place At The Beach itself made for a wonderful vacation.

Our stay was amazing overall! We loved the host's little notes around the condo with tips on how to work certain appliances, etc.The amenities were great and very easy to use! The elevator was out when we left which was a bit unfortunate being on the 3rd floor but, it happens! The only note that I'd really have won't be relvant for most people but, my wife is very sensitive to fragrance so, the laundry detergent smell on the sheets was a bit strong for her but, after a few days she ended up alright- just a potential thought for the future. Communication with our host was so easy too which definitely helped ease any worries we may have had. We would 100% stay at Lorna Dune again!

Great place!

This is our second year staying in this condo and we loved it! The kids LOVE the pool and we love the easy access to the elevator. We had three adults and two children and we were all comfortable in the condo.

Awesome resort- very clean and nicely remodeled

We loved our stay at Lorna Dune! The resort, A Place at the Beach, had numerous activities and the entire property was beautiful and well taken care of. Our unit was very clean and newly remodeled. The listing was accurate. We will stay here again! The very high bed in the main bedroom could be difficult to enter for shorter people who are over 60. The bed itself is very comfortable! Also, we did not realize the refrigerator was set at the highest level of cold and our food froze the first night. Just check the setting upon arrival and ensure it is on the middle setting. Everything.else was perfect! We throughly enjoyed our stay! We had beautiful, sunny weather. It was very warm for mid-May so we were able to spend most of our time at the beach! The property hallways and elevator were clean and fairly quiet. The outdoor and indoor pools were very large and very clean! The hot tubs were an awesome bonus!

Weekend fishing trip

The place was great. My son and I stayed there while away for a weekend fishing trip. We had to change weekends at the last minute and Victoria was very accommodating and flexible. Condo was clean, easy to access and perfect for our needs.

Once you walk into Victoria's condo you feel calm and relaxed. You can tell by all the personal touches she has added that she cares about her guests and wants them to have an enjoyable vacation. Hi, my name is Victoria and this is my husband, Dennis! I'm from North Carolina and I've been vacationing in the Atlantic Beach area for all of my adult life. When my daughter, Lorna, was very young I decided to invest in a condo at our favorite resort, A Place At The Beach III. I have never regretted this decision; my family has enjoyed our home away from home so very much. Great memories, wonderful times!

Why they chose this property

A Place at the Beach III has the best amenities of any resort on the Crystal Coast. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the beach is wide and all you could ask for. There are countless options if you want something different to do or see, but there is still a hometown feel to the area. This resort is family friendly with security on-site.

What makes this property unique

The condo is my pride and joy! It has been completely renovated and updated. There are many fine restaurants and things to do in the area. I particularly enjoy the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and visiting Fort Macon. Such beautiful views! My husband loves to fish in the surf at Fort Macon. Beaufort is a lovely little historic town to poke around in to see the sights and eat great seafood and ice cream. A chartered boat ride to Shackleford banks to see the wild ponies is always a highlight. The list goes on...
